[ YONGGUK's POV ]

There were numerous kind of beautiful rings decorated inside the glass. I would like to choose one for her because I promised her 6 years ago. So I came here to fulfil my promise.

“Excuse me.. can I take a look at this one?”, I asked a staff as my index finger was pointing to a particular ring that attracted my attention.

“Okay.. here you go, young man”, the staff handed over the ring as I told her to.

“For your girlfriend, son?”, asked the friendly staff with a sincere smile.

“Yes, it is. This ring really suits her so I’m taking this one”, I smiled as I answered her. I decided to buy the ring. As soon as I left the place, I drove my car to where she always have been..

.. at the cemetery.

I approached her grave with a bouquet of white roses in my hand which was her favourite flower. As I stood before her, gently I placed the flower on the cold tombstone.

LEE SONGGYUNG

31.10.1993 – 26.12.2012

Her name was well-sculptured on the stone. Slowly my hand reached up caressing it. My fingers were trembling as an overwhelming sorrowfulness came over me.

“Songgyung-ah..how are  you doing  there?”, I still attempt to smile. I had to be strong for her.

"I missed you so much.."

Unfortunately, I was not strong enough.

“S-Songgyung..!”, abruptly I collapsed onto the hard ground. Tears were falling down from my eyes and the next thing I knew was, I could not stop crying at all. The realization hit me. I was not capable enough to confront her today.

“..I’m here now..I’m here now because I promised you, didn’t I? I-I promised you that I will propose you TODAY..on your 25^th birthday, am I right..? And that will make you FOREVER MINE..”

My face was soaked with tears but I did not bother to wipe them off.

6 years ago, with so much of confidence I promised her that I will propose her by today. But that was in the past. Right now, it is not the same anymore because she is already GONE. It supposed to be her standing in front of me right now instead of her tombstone here so I will have the chance to propose her as  I promised before.

“I-I even..bought you a ring just now..”, I took out the ring from my jacket.

“..this ring..I’ll keep it first..because I believe that..I’ll meet you SOMEDAY..”, tears were flowing continuously without a sign to stop.

“Lee Songgyung..you are my eternal love because you are the person who I love until death..or even more than that.. even in an afterlife..”
