In Between

Description

Someone! Save me! Your mind cried out.
Unfortunately you knew to well that no one would hear you.
No one ever heard your screams and prayers. Not even god.
Ohhh please...Anyone, find me…!

Foreword

You were walking down the empty road. Passed clothe stores, restaurants, a bakery and, finally, saw the bus stop.
7:30, your watch told you.
Fear crawled up your spine. Your hands became sweaty. You were hot, then cold, hot, cold, hot,.....
The bus arrived and you got on.

It was a Monday morning so most people were on their way to work or school.
At the right stop you stepped out and took a deep breath. Your stomach clenched. You nearly threw op in the middle of the street.
Normal people wouldn't go to school in such a condition. Normal people would stay at home in their beds.
Normal people would be happy to be able to escape the stress and pressure.
But you weren't normal.

At least most people made you think this way. You weren't normal. For other people this was a fact.
You held back your tears. This was how everyday life was for you.
At night you would lie awake on your bed, staring at the ceiling and thinking
Why can't I be like them? What isn't normal about me? Why can't nobody answer me!
Tears would make their way down your cheeks and sobs would shake your body. Every night you would cry yourself to sleep.
And the next day you would fight yourself to get up with, if you got it good, 3 hours of sleep and endure the humiliation and mortification like a zombie.

It never disappeared. Fear and Pain would never loosen their tight grip on you.
Not even during holidays could you relax. You would spend every second in your flat, not even thinking about setting one foot out of the house.

You often thought about suicide, even tried it once. But you were to afraid. You hated yourself for not being able to set this an end.
Not brave enough to live nor to die.

If you had to describe your life with one word: Suffer
You had nowhere to go.

No time to pity yourself, gotta go to school. You thought as you took a glance on your watch.
You entered the school building. Disgusted eyes followed you the whole time.
You opened your locker and a terrible smell hit you.
You took a closer look. Flies gathered around a small object.

You got curious. You got rid of the flies and looked.
Just to struggle back with a soundless scream on your lips. Pupils looked at you. Your face was a mask of horror and disgust.
In your locker laid a dead rat. Her eyes scratched out and intestines turned out.
A letter slipped out of your locker and glided to the ground.

                                                   I wish this was you.
