Animation seemed to seize up and flow in slow motion as the images, blurred and blotched with a ghostly white that ate at the corners of each moment, flashed by in a leisurely pace that somehow left my head spinning like a drunken top.
Snow tainted by crimson.
Wide, deer-esque eyes.
Blinding lights.
Blaring sirens.
A gurney being lifted with firm and rushed hands into the back hatch of the white car.
My heavy feet dragging my body to the pale figure.
"We will never cry. I promise, you'll never be alone. I will be... I will be your companion until I die."
I didn't even realize how wrong things can go by the unfair hand of fate.
The clock strikes 6:00pm.
"I'll... s-see you... i-in h-heaven... J-...Jong...in..."
I broke our promise, didn't I?
"Pinky promise?"
"Pinky promise!"
