Each Day.

Morning.

I wake from my dreams

And my first thought is her:

Her voice

Her gaze

Her smile

I hear her song

And sit, and listen

Letting my thoughts run and ade my mind;

A peace releases a tension within me

A small hope

Perhaps she will hear

My heart’s cry for her alone

Noon.

I walk endlessly

Until the road ends

And I continue

Where there is no path

The sun is not present,

The earth is cold

A sharp breeze tears to my skin

I long for her presence beside mine

Our warmth collective,

A mutual love

Her face is near visible

A beautiful picture

Yet it is illusory, nonexistent

Except in my own mind

Evening.

I begin my journey back

And gaze at the evening sky

Slowly becoming darker, blacker

As the day closes

Where has my love gone?

Behind it leaves an aching pain

What could have been

Is nothing but a vision

Our fates are no longer destined to cross -

A fact written and inescapable

As I lament, the tears begin to flow,

The wind throwing them behind me,

Staining the ground where my footsteps lay

I continue

Until I reach place of respite

Where I sit, then lie

Letting my sleep come upon me

To take me away to a happier place

With her

Again.

Everyday.
