And there she was, alone in her apartment in her hometown. 

MinJi, a girl who came back to Korea alone after being in America since she was 10. Although she had a matured mindset, she was naïve and innocent as well. Her parents were against of her coming back, but still, she managed to persuade them.

Yeah, she came back to Korea because she was tired of the hectic life in America. You could say that she wanted to be free from all the stress that her parents gave. In short, she was tired of being their good girl, tired of always having to listen to them. She just wanted to do what makes her happy. And what makes her happy? Him. He was another reason why she did not want to go anywhere else except Korea. She wanted to find him. She had to. After having to leave him when she was 10, he did not leave her mind for more than a day. She misses her childhood friend. Very much.

However, all she has is a picture of them when they were younger, and a diary that both of them used to write in. She has no idea where he is now, how he looks like now, and if he was doing well. Yes, he might have left Korea, but still, it didn’t stop her from coming back. She was just afraid of one thing. She was afraid that he might have forgotten her after all these years. She’s 19 now, and 9 years is a very long time. Nevertheless, she decided to throw all negative thoughts away, and since she’s in Korea now, she’d make use of the time she has by searching for him, instead of just sitting and daydreaming about him all day.
