It was finally my seventeenth birthday, neither Key or Aiden has contacted me since they left almost three years ago.

"Happy birthday, Kexi!"

My mother brought me up a cake, I gave her a quick smile and continued writing in my notebook.

"Is it because of them?"

My mother asked, sitting next to me with the plate of cake still in her hands,

"Yeah. You know they haven't contacted me since they left three years ago."

I said as I sat up, I put my notebook down and my mother saw what I was writing. I was writing a song called 'Don't Leave', it's going to be in korean since one, it sounds better and two, I AM korean.

"You're dedicating this song to them?"

My mother smiled at me, I nodded as I sighed in frustration. It was no fun waiting every single day for your BEST FRIENDS to call or text you especially since you haven't had any contact with them for THREE YEARS.

"Darling, please don't be sad. You'll meet other friends and soon enough you will forget about them."

My mother patted my back.

"The thing is, is that I don't WANT to forget them. I don't WANT to make new friends. I just want to BE with them!"
