"Do I have to meet him?"

I said as he pushed me into the cafeteria,

"Yes, you have to! He's a new student so let's be nice."

Aiden kept pushing me until I finally got to Key's table; he looked up and smiled at us. He had short, black hair; similar to Aiden's and his eyes were brown, like chocolate! Which I loved,

"H-Hi, I'm Kexi"

I waved and sat down in the chair next to Key,

"I'm Key."

He smiled and continued writing in his notebook,

"You're not getting lunch?"

Aiden asked him, Key shook his head.

"No, I usually don't eat; only dinner, really."

He replied,

"What grade are you in?"

I asked, he smiled and put his notebook away.

"I'm in ninth grade, I assume you guys are in eighth?"

Aiden and I looked at each other, then looked back at Key and nodded;

"Yeah, we're best friends."

Aiden said, Key's smile quickly turned into a frown.

"What's it like to have a friend?"

He asked quietly, neither of us could understand him.

"Huh?"

I asked, while scooting closer to him.

"What's it like, you know, to have a friend?"

He asked while fiddling with his fingers,

"It's great at times, and sometimes it can be horrible. Don't you have friends?"

Aiden replies, looking at Key.

"I never had friends, they always made fun of me because I'm gay."

He sighed and then proceeded to take out his notebook again,

"Hey, we'll be your friends."

I smiled, 

"Really?"

He looked up with a bright smile glued on his face.

"Yeah! I don't think someone should be hated because they like the same gender."

I put my hand on his back, which seemed to make him happy because he kept smiling.

"Hey you're not getting lunch either?"

Aiden looked at me as he was getting his lunch bag from under the table,

"Nah, not that hungry today."

I said as I sat back in my chair, stretching my legs on Aiden's lap.

"You guys act like a couple,"

Key chuckled,
