PART 4

Second Light

After the funeral, Niel and Ricky came to Ji Yeong’s house. Ricky still cried while Niel’s eyes were red.

“I don’t wanna lose a friend anymore...” Ricky sobbed. Ji Yeong said slowly,

“No one wants it, Ricky...”

“Ji Kyo said that she’ll go to her parent’s house. I’m really sad to hear that...” Ji Yeong continued and sighed.

“But it will be better for her,” Niel said.  

“First Changjo, then Chunji hyung...” Ricky suddenly said. Niel now sobbed too while Ji Yeong’[s face turned pale,

“Stop it, Ricky...” Niel said quickly.

Changjo came while brought tray of tea.  

“Here, hyung...Eomma ever said that tea will reduce our sadness,” he said.

Ricky just looked at him and then cried again. Changjo was really confused,

“Hyung? What’s happen?”

Niel shook his head,

“It’s okay. Thank you, Changjo...” and he tried to smiled.

When Niel and him left, Ricky erased his tears and looked at Ji Yeong,

“Ji Yeong~a...I suddenly remember something,” he said. Ji Yeong looked back at him,

“What is that, Ricky?”

Ricky smiled a little,

“We ever said, I mean Teen Top member. We ever said that when we die, we can be together again. Changjo and us. Now Chunji hyung must be at somewhere with Changjo,”

Niel and Ji Yeong was too shocked to say anything.

“Ricky...” Ji Yeong looked at him.

Ricky just smiled once again and then said to Niel.

“Let’s go home, hyung....Bye Ji Yeong...”

2 years later...

Ji Yeong shook his head,

“Omo, Changjo. Don’t do that again. You made us worry...C.A.P oppa said that...”

Changjo laughed,

“Eomma! Jae Hoon and I just went for an hour!”

Ji Yeong sighed,

“OK. But come back at 6 pm, L.Joe oppa’s family inivite us for dinner,”

Changjo nodded,

“I will. Bye eomma!”

At 6 pm, Ji Yeong and Changjo came to L.Joe’s house. The other Teen Top member were there too Ji Yeong was really surprised to see a girl next Niel. Niel introduced her to Ji Yeong,

“This is Ji Ah,”

Ji Yeong smiled to Ji Ah,

“Your girlfriend?” she asked and made Niel’s cheek blushed.

Then they started the dinner. They chatted while laughed when Changjo looked something,

“Omo, L.Joe hyung! Your nose is bleeding!”

Everyone startled. L.Joe quickly rubbed his nose. Hye Ri, L.Joe’s wife said to him,

“It ever happens before,” she looked worry and took tissues. L.Joe just smiled,

“It’s because I’m too tired. You know that I must finish my song,” he said.

L.Joe worked as songwriter. He’s popular enough and success.

Hye Ri shook his head,

“Jinjja...You must take enough rest,”

L.Joe smiled once again,

“I will,”

After dinner, they left. Ji Yeong walked with Niel, Ricky and Ji Ah. She started to tease Niel and Hye Ri,

“Ah, Niel, finally you found someone,”

Niel’s cheek blushed again. Ricky said quickly,

“Remember when he said that he want to go some place? Actually, Niel hyung met Ji Ah there,”

 Ji Yeong laughed,

“Jinjja?”

Ji Ah smiled,

“Niel is really a kind man. Every child in my work place love him,”

“L.Joe oppa told me that you like to come at Children Care Central for Cancer Disease?” Ji Yeong looked at Niel.

Niel smiled a little,

“Yes. I thought that I must do something for them. After Changjo died, I realized that I wanna do something worth,”

Ji Yeong bowed her head. Ji Ah looked at her,

“Eonni, Niel told me about your husband. I also feel sad about him,”

Ji Yeong raised her head and looked at Ji Ah,

“Thank you, Ji Ah...Niel, if you go to that place again, I want to come with you,” then she smiled. Niel nodded,

“OK,” and smiled too.

Hye Ri came to Ji Yeong’s work place,

“Eonni, I feel something strange with L. Joe,” she said while looked at every flower in the counter.

Ji Yeong raised his head and looked at her,

“Something strange? What is that?” she asked.

Hye Ri looked hesitant before she said,

“Um...he looked pale and unhealthy...”

“Go to doctor and check for his condition,” Ji Yeong quickly suggested, looked worry.

Hye Ri nodded,

“Yes, I will take him to hospital this evening, after he go home,”

When Ji Yeong went home at 7 pm, Changjo welcome her,

“Welcome home, eomma. I cooked some delicious dinner for us,” he smiled. Ji Yeong smiled too,

“Really? Wow, that’s good!”

When they ate, Changjo said,

“Eomma, aunt Hye Ri came at 6pm. She wanted to meet you,”

Ji Yeong looked at him,

“What did she tell?” she asked.

Changjo shook his head,

“She didn’t say anything. She asked to tell you to call her,”

Ji Yeong nodded,

“Ah, OK,” 

After dinner, Ji Yeong called Hye Ri,

“Hi Hye Ri, Changjo told me that you looked for me,”

Suddenly Ji Yeong heard something,

“Hye Ri? Why you...Are you crying?”

“Eonni...eonni...” and she told something that quickly made Ji Yeond shocked,

“It’s impossible...”

Ricky and Niel closed their face with their palm,

“I’m tired with this,” Niel said slowly.

“Me too,” Ricky added, felt frustrate.

Ji Yeong looked at them,

“Don’t worry, he’ll be alright,” she said. Niel raised his head, looked really pale,

“How do you know? What if he ends like Changjo?” he said and quickly felt really guilty after he saw Ji Yeong’s face turned white-faced.

“Oh no! I’m so sorry, Ji Yeong, I didn’t mean it!”

Ji Yeong’s eyes started to wet and Niel felt guiltier than before,

“Oh, Ji Yeong, forgive me! I’m really sorry…”

Ji Yeong shook his head,

“I know. I hope he’ll be alright…” and she rubbed her eyes.

C.A.P and his wife, Ah Ri came. Ah Ri quickly sat near Ji Yeong,

“Where’s Hye Ri?”

“She’s in doctor’s room, eonni…” Ji Yeong answered. Ah Ri sighed,

“Ah, OK...”

When Hye Ri came, everyone gathered near her,

“How’s his condition?” C.A.P asked quickly.

Hye Ri’s eyes were wet but she tried to smiled before she answered,

“He’s alright. His ill is serious but...there’s still hope,”

“What ill?” Ricky asked too, looked really worried. Hye Ri said slowly,

“Le...Leukemia...”

“Aigoo...” Niel’s face turned pale once again.

They saw L.Joe in his room. He smiled to them,

“Hi guys...”

Hye Ri walked to him and held his hand. L.Joe smiled to her.

“Oh, hyung...” Ricky quickly hugged him. L.Joe surprised and laughed,

“Omo, Ricky!”

“You must get well soon...” C.A.P said with slow voice. L. Joe nodded,

“I will...”

They prayed and kept pray but seemed L. Joe condition got worse month by month. But he kept fight against his ill and never complained.  And Ji Yeong suddenly remembered about Changjo everytime she saw L. Joe’s pale face.

“You don’t have to come if it makes you feel sad,” Niel suggested after he saw Ji Yeong’s sad face. Ji Yeong shook his head,

“No. No. It’s OK,”

One day Hye Ri said to Ji Yeong,

“Eonni...I’m ready if one day, L. Joe die...” she looked strong when she said.

Ji Yeong was really shock to hear that,

“Don’t say things like that!”

Hye Ri smiled a little,

“It’s OK, eonni...”

Ji Yeong touched Hye Ri’s hands,

“Hye Ri...”

Hye Ri smiled once again and said,

“L. Joe has a request from you, eonni...”

“What request?” Ji Yeong confused.

“Please bring Changjo with you tomorrow when you come here,” Hye Ri said.

Ji Yeong entered L. Joe’s room with Changjo. L. Joe saw them and smiled,

“Come here, Changjo...” he said to Changjo.

“Come to hi, Changjo...” Ji Yeong pushed Changjo’s shoulder.

Changjo walked to L. Joe. L. Joe smiled once again,

“Changjo...” he said slowly.

“Yes hyung...”

“I never thank to God because you came to us, Changjo...” L. Joe’s eyes suddenly wet.

Changjo didn’t understand,

“What do you mean hyung?”

L. Joe his cheek,

“You came to us, Changjo. To give back our happiness. I know it. Every time I see your face, I always feel happy...”

Then he looked at Ji Yeong,

“You know the reason why I always fight until the end against my ill?” he said.

Ji Yeong didn’t say anything. She just looked at L. Joe with red eyes.

“It because of your husband. He taught me to be strong and I always remember that, Ji Yeong...”

Hye Ri, who sat near L. Joe’s bed started to cry.

“Oppa...” finally Ji Yeong said. L. Joe smiled and Changjo’s cheek once again,

“You really like him, Changjo~ya...You really like my friend. It’s happy to see your face before I died...”

He said and Hye Ri’s tears burst. Ji Yeong’s tears fell one by one when L. Joe closed his eyes and his arms fell beside his body...
