Chapter Twelve - A Second Call
The Mysterious LifeMira's POV
"What was that about?" Jonghyun lay on the bed, reading a magazine.
"Just work stuff." I smiled and climbed next to him.
"I see." he placed his magazine down and swung his body over mine. "Do you know how gorgeous you are?" he grinned and caressed my cheek.
"Yah...don't get all frisky." I giggled.
"Frisky?" he chuckled. "I like that word." he nuzzled my neck.
"What's with the male gender and physical love?"
"What's with girls and emotional crap?" he responded, kissing me deeply.
"H-Hey. Can we just sleep? It's not our honeymoon or anything."
"Not yet." he pouted.
"Not...yet." I sighed as he got off from on top of me and laid beside me, pulling me against him.
"But maybe someday it will be?" he kissed my shoulder.
"I don't know." I whispered and adjusted my pillow.
"Goodnight yeobo." he hugged me tightly and exhaled.
"Goodnight." I reached out and shut the light. I stared forward into the darkness and found my mind wandering off. Taemin, the detective, Jonghyun: they all swirled about in my head, pulling me every which direction. It wasn't long until I heard Jonghyun's light even breathing. I groaned and slowly got out of bed, trying my hardest not to wake him. When the mission was complete I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and pulled my robe from the bathroom door. I pulled the warmth around me and slipped out onto the balcony. I looked down at my phone for a few seconds before dialing the number and holding the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" his voice seemed weak, just out of sleep.
"I'm sorry to wake you." I said softly.
"You didn't wake me...what's up?"
"I know we agreed to start up on Monday..."
"Yeah..."
"But I think I'm going to return tomorrow."
"Alright"
"And I was wondering...if...you'd like to...have coffee or something..."
"Start tomorrow then?"
"No...No...I mean...just...have coffee...and talk about....other stuff." I bit my lip and gazed out at the snow covered mountains.
"Oh." he sighed, sounding disappointed. "That will be fine then. Meet me at my place at ten thirty a.m."
"A-alright."
"See you then. Goodnight." the line went dead.
