Foreword
Siwon's POV
“Omigosh, Wonnie!” I could hear Fany squeal from a corner of the library. “You gotta take a look at this!”
“What, sweetheart?” I came over to her, smiling. Ah, Fany. She is into everything connected to romance. She would squeal whenever someone gave her a romance novel, and sing along to a love song, and would take me to places that are really romantic and private.
Fany showed me a page from the book “100 Best Quotes from Love Songs”. The page showed a drawing of a girl with a tear on her cheek, waving goodbye to a boy. Underneath, was a quoted love song;
“And I’d travel a thousand miles,
Just so I can see you smile,
Feel so far away,
When you cry,
‘Cause home is in your eyes.
Greyson Chance”
“Awwww.” I pinched her cheek. I told you so—she’s so romantic!
She smiled a bit. Then, her face fell.
“What’s wrong, Fany?” I asked her.
“It’s just…Whoever sang this song—“
“Greyson Chance,” I said, pointing at the page.
“Yes, um, Greyson must be very sad when he wrote this song. Maybe his lover is far away.” Fany sighed. “I don’t want that to happen to us, Wonnie.”
I was in shock. Why would Fany think of that? We were meant to be together—so why would Fany say such a thing?
“No, Fany.” I hugged her in a tender embrace, smelling her strawberry shampoo. “I promise you, we will never be far apart from each other.”
“Promise me?” asked Fany innocently.
“I promise.”
It turns out I was wrong.
