“Just go back to sleep, baby.  I’ll be back late again,” Leeteuk sighed, petting Eunhyuk’s hair in apology, his thumb trailing against the other man’s forehead.

                Eunhyuk nodded, cupping Leeteuk’s hand in his and just staring into his warm brown eyes.  “I love you,” he murmured softly, shifting his hand to thread his fingers through Leeteuk’s, holding tighter.

                “I love you too, Hyukkie.  I’ll see you tonight,” he promised, raising the back of Eunhyuk’s hand to his lips and kissing it warmly.

                “Teukie?” Eunhyuk asked when his husband started to pull away.

                “Hmm?”

                “I need to talk to you later, neh?”

                Leeteuk looked at the hand that held his and then met Eunhyuk’s gaze again.  “Alright.  I’ll call you at lunch.  Will that work?”

                “I’d rather talk to you in person,” Eunhyuk admitted, sitting up slightly, an edge of desperation in his tone.

                “Baby,” Leeteuk sighed, coming back to sit on the edge of the bed, his free hand reaching up to thread his fingertips through Eunhyuk’s hair, combing it lightly.  “You know how Fridays are,” he reminded with a sigh.

                “I know…  But this is important,” he trailed off hesitantly.

                “I’ll see what I can do,” Leeteuk shook his head, knowing even as he said the words that he probably wouldn’t be able to change anything about today.  Distractedly, he looked over at the glowing digital clock next to the bed and grunted.  “Sorry, Hyukkie.  I have to go,” he murmured, leaning in for another quick kiss and then sliding his hand free, his mind already at work if the focused expression on his face was any indication.
