Sungmin grunted and doubled over as another sharp pain reverberated through the back of his skull. Alarmed, Jongwoon lost focus and loosened his grip on the gun, more concerned with flash of pain on Sungmin's face than the deadly weapon he had a precarious hold of. It wouldn't matter, Sungmin thought, if he pulled the trigger and pushed Jongwoon out of the way, but for some reason it just felt wrong. Sungmin swiftly released the clip and unloaded the magazine, effectively disarming the weapon in one smooth motion. He tucked the bullets into his back pocket and let go of the gun, abandoning it in Jongwoon's trembling hands.

In the breath that Sungmin was distracted, Han Geng had closed the distance between them and lashed out, striking Sungmin in the face as the blond instinctively knocked Jongwoon out of the way by pushing the slender man into a rack of canned goods, causing a domino of teetering shelves and crashing metal containers. Sungmin sighed mentally, So much for trying not to cause a scene and go unnoticed. The sudden scuffle between them had caused such a thunderous uproar, Sungmin wouldn't have been surprised if law enforcement were to instantaneously storm through the front door; but Sungmin had no plans to be caught today, he picked himself back up and tried to stumble towards the exit. Before Sungmin had the chance to shake off the ringing in his ears Han Geng descended upon him with a barrage of attacks that he could barely see.

His Chinese sunbae had always been faster, doling out attacks with a ruthless sort of grace that had always mesmerized Sungmin, but there was no time for him to be impressed. Sungmin blocked instinctively and tried to absorb the attacks. There was no evading Han Geng, he just had to wait for an opening to overpower the taller man. But he didn't have the time to wait for a chance to grapple Geng to the floor, the store owner was crouched in a far corner pressing a cell phone against his face with a white knuckled grip, obviously calling for help. Sungmin scanned the room, the other store patron had fled as soon as their altercation had started and Jongwoon... The fool was still crumpled on the floor, staring up at Sungmin like a deer caught in headlights. Sungmin swore in frustration as he countered Geng with a roundhouse kick. Didn't that idiot have any sense of self preservation? It was obvious that Jongwoon couldn't fight or handle a weapon, yet he refused to flee even while in the presence of two proficient killers. He just froze there like a helpless child, Sungmin didn't have time to chaperone him, furthermore, Sungmin had no obligation to take care of him!

Sungmin's inexplicable need to protect a stranger like Jongwoon was making his head hurt even more and it was distracting him from his fight with Han Geng. He needed to end things quickly. Sungmin finally caught a break and hooked one of Geng's feet, he pulled it out from under his adversary, toppling the lithe man to the ground before delivering a stinging blow to Geng's face with a quick side kick. Sungmin took a deep breath before abruptly turning towards Jongwoon to scream at the top of his lungs.
