A rich town nobleman‘s adoptive child. Lost his real parents when raging peasants by city mayor’s order wanted to revenge for his father‘s debts to the government man, leaving him without money. Jongin was found hidden in a forest. After a traumatic childhood, becoming an unsociable and shy person, in his early teens the boy finds his other self, Kai – a reckless, short-tempered, sociable and selfish self. Remembering the past, Jongin tries to combine with Kai and use it for kind goals – being the masked town hero. Age 19.

A successful merchant’s oldest child from China. Relocates to Exo town with his family when his father accepts a profitable offer from the town’s mayor. Luhan was married by force to an old and rich nobleman, who shortly died after the wedding and left all his wealth to Luhan. Age 22..

                                                                                                             Kim Junmyeon



Jongin‘s non biological and Sehun’s biological father. He found and saved Jongin. Junmyeon is the most respectable nobleman in Exo town. He’s known for kind heart: he never refuses to help peasants. Also, the man doesn’t distribute people to castes. He believes all people are of equal value. Age 35.

A step brother to Jongin. Sehun was very caring and loved his mother deeply.  The hardest time for him was when she left – drowning into a sea of tears. After losing the most precious person, he started being very clingy towards his father, but then Jongin came into the family and all attention was the newcomer’s. This is where the grudge and hatred came from. The hatred for his father also started haunting him after hearing that Junmyeon may had an affair with another woman, that’s why his mother left. Of respect to his mother, Sehun took her surname. Age 17.

                                                                                                               Park Chanyeol



Jongin’s bestfriend and personal servant.  He was the first person who got to know about Jongin’s split personality and the black mask which covers the boy’s face when citizens need help. Chanyeol only talks with Jongin, often using body language though. To others he pretends to be deaf. Age 20.

                                                                                                                                                Do Kyungsoo



Luhan’s beloved uncle from father’s side. Kyungsoo has been taking care of him since his mother passed out. He loves Luhan the most among the three children his brother has. Kyungsoo is a caring and gentle person. Age 32.

                                                                                                                  Byun Baekhyun



Luhan’s bestfriend and personal servant. Was a birthday present to the boy. Baekhyun’s very sweet, though has his blunt side: always speaks his mind out loud when it comes to defending Luhan from his father, usually disobeys Luhan siblings' orders. Age 20.

                                                                                                                   Zhang Yixing



Luhan’s younger brother. Usually has an expressionless face, so no one can really tell what he is thinking. Yixing doesn’t socialize with people very often, though is a good adviser. Age 21.

                                                                                                                   Hwang Minyoung



Luhan father’s adoptive Korean child. Often called Tiffany instead of her real name. When Minyoung was young, she idealized Luhan very much. As she grew older, Tiffany started to envy Luhan’s beauty and became cold and harsh to him. She wants everything Luhan has shown interest in. Age 19.

                                                                                                                       Wufan



Exo town’s priest.  He promulgates Christianity to this town. Wufan doesn’t announce his name to the town, so everyone calls him Kris. He’s Jongin’s beloved teacher.  Kris knows about the boy’s split personality, he’s the first who encouraged Jongin to use Kai as a black masked hero. But doesn’t agree of using Kai for other purposes. The priest frightens that Kai someday will take over Jongin’s body and push the boy aside. Age 27..

                                                                                                                          Huang Zitao



Wufan’s assistant. The third person, who knows about Jongin’s split personality. He’s the master of wushu. Zitao is Jongin’s second teacher; he teaches the boy everything about martial arts and weapons. All the tricks, techniques and weapons Jongin uses, are the results of Zitao teaching. Age 23.
