"C-Can I just have one wish before you kill me? Please?"

I don't know what made me even consider his request - maybe it was the flare of hope within his watery, doe-like brown eyes that moved me? Or perhaps it was the fact that I was used to granting wishes? Either way, as he waited silently for my answer, I couldn't help but give in to the possibility of granting this mortal his final request.

"Will you wish that you never came here today? Or that I won't kill you?" 

"No...I wish to change something. Something that happened long ago."
