So I cross my heart and I hope to die...

...that I'll see your face at least one more time

Luhan slowly strolled along the golden grains of sand, enjoying the feel of the miniscule pebbles between his gnarled toes. Supressing a sigh of discomfort as his breathing became laboured after walking for a while; he came to a halt, using his walking stick to hold him upright.

Leaning heavily on his cane, Luhan squinted – he’d forgotten to wear his glasses this afternoon, which wasn’t uncommon for a man of his age – as he gazed upon the azure blue expanse of water before him. A single teardrop trickled down his face, as his bottom lip began to quiver, which happened every time that he visited the secluded beach.

This was his favourite place.

Luhan closed his eyes, as he reminisced about the love of his life before him, as he was when he’d last seen him – a young and vibrant man of twenty-two. He was a combination of cheeky smiles and heated gazes, of sweet words and passionate kisses, of warm embraces and lingering caresses, all rolled into the one dashingly handsome man.

Oh darling, I wish you were here.

Feeling a strange yet painful tightening in his chest – were his lungs failing him again? Or was it something else? – Luhan cracked open his moist, chocolate-brown eyes, and with his blurred vision, he looked to see that his wrinkled hand was clutching at the checked fabric covering his chest, at his forever-broken heart.

The pain was never-ending.

With a quiet sniffle, Luhan gradually turned around, and positioning his red-cedar staff before him, he slowly shuffled away. Frowning as his foot brushed against something hard, Luhan bent forwards slightly and was stunned to see some sort of lamp, lying abandoned on the ground.

Looking around for its possible owner, Luhan realised that he was the only person at the beach, and as the saying goes, ‘finders keepers’, he reached down – wincing as his back loudly protested with a couple of cracking noises – and picked up this rare find. Lightly brushing away the sand, Luhan narrowed his weakening eyes as he turned the mysterious lamp over in his hands, inspecting his latest treasure.

The lamp was of a burnished metal, dulled by the passing years, and according to Luhan, it appeared to be made of gold. Elegantly crafted, the lamp was simply exquisite in its appearance – all nicely rounded sides and smooth edges, with delicate patterns carved into its body. There were some sort of words – inscriptions – engraved onto one side of the lamp, but it was in a foreign language – one Luhan had never encountered before.

With a frustrated huff, Luhan rolled down the sleeve of his loose-fitting shirt, and tried to rub off some of the dark splotches of ‘God-knows-what’ on the side of the lamp, so that he could attempt to read some more of the ancient-looking script. Nearly flinging it onto the ground in annoyance, as the black marks refused to come off, Luhan stopped fruitlessly scrubbing at the lamp in favour of opening it to see if there was anything inside.

Frantically tugging at the dully-gleaming lid, Luhan groaned in irritation as the lid of the lamp stubbornly resisted his efforts – it was on too tight. Mustering up his remaining strength, as he released his walking stick so that he could grip the lamp with both of his hands, Luhan gave one last despairing pull and the lid finally came off with a resounding ‘pop’.

Luhan staggered backwards from the force, dropping the lamp and its lid onto the sand, before collapsing into a heap close by. Shaking his head, Luhan hauled himself into a sitting position and looked over to the scattered pieces of his lamp, before gasping in shock, as a bright blue gas slithered its way out of the inside of the lamp.

Watching in astonishment as the wisps of electric-blue smoke curled and swayed in the cool mid-afternoon sea breeze, Luhan stared, open-mouthed, as after a few seconds the cerulean swirls entwined with each other and formed the shape of a man.

“What in the…” he muttered, still gaping at this phenomenon taking place before him.

Within a couple of moments, a man with skin as blue as the ocean behind him, ivory-white hair that stood up on the top of head – kind of in the shape of a flame – and eyes as black as night, towered menacingly over him. His loose, sapphire-blue harem pants fluttered in the wind, and his matching vest, laced with gold and decorated with priceless gems, hung askew across his tense shoulders.

Many gold rings studded with jewels, decorated the fingers that were curled into threatening fists, and a pair of royal-blue slippers, stitched together using fine gold thread, and with curled toes, covered his feet, as this frightening creature took a step towards him.

Luhan’s eyes darted from side to side in fear, wondering if, after all of these years, he’s finally losing his mind – although he did remember to take his medication earlier in the day, so that couldn’t have been the cause – as this strange being glared haughtily down at him.

“Who dares to release the Almighty Oh Sehun?!” bellowed the blue man, still glowering at a terrified-looking Luhan, as the latter lay sprawled helplessly in the sand.

They say that curiosity killed the cat, and in Luhan’s case, that may not be so inaccurate.

** ~ **

It was odd, to say the least. But in a good way. The feeling of freedom felt amazing, compared to the ghastly imprisonment that I had suffered in that goddamn lamp. But still, I hadn’t forgotten my vow.

I peered down at the terrified mortal that had released me from my lamp, and I have to say, I was a tad disappointed to see that it was merely an old, wizened man lying in the sand whom had set me free.

And I had had such high hopes. Such a shame

Taking a few unsteady steps forward – I still wasn’t used to walking, after all, I had been imprisoned inside a lamp for centuries! – I inched closer, trying to get a closer look at this pathetic human being.

Crossing my arms menacingly over my chest, I glowered at him – a man with wide and frightened brown eyes that were clearly fading, a few clumps of white hair left on his head, wrinkled, splotchy skin and dressed in a worn green checked shirt and beige trousers.

“Wh-What are you?!” he whispered in a shaky voice, as he tried to scramble away from me.

“It isn’t what I am, that you should fear,” I replied darkly, as I looked down at him. “It’s what I can do.”

“A-And what’s that?!” he responded in a small voice, his bottom lip beginning to quiver as if he already knew the answer.

Kill you.”

He gasped loudly, and covered his mouth with one withered hand in shock. The expression plastered on his pale face, was one of incomprehension and horror at what I had just announced. Slowly, he shook his head, as if trying to understand the situation that he was currently in, before peering up at me with questioning eyes.

“B-But why?” he begged. “I set you free! Shouldn’t you be thanking me, or something?”

I scoffed at the mere suggestion that I should be thanking a human. Besides, I know from past experiences that these damn mortals aren’t worth the air that they breathe – they’re more trouble than they’re worth. I don’t know how my race has managed to put up with them for so long, I really don’t.

“Yes… that would’ve been the case if you had released me long ago,” I frowned, remembering the early years of my containment inside that blasted chunk of metal. “I’ve been trapped inside that lamp for nearly three thousand years. During the first thousand years, I vowed that whoever would release me, would be showered with the world’s most treasured riches. During the second thousand years, I swore to grant my saviour’s every desire…but the years wore on, and I was still inside the lamp. And so, I made my final vow, that the creature to grant me liberty would be killed.”

“B-But why were you inside that lamp in the first place? There must’ve been a reason?” he persisted annoyingly. “Did you do something?”

“It’s none of your business, you useless waste of space!” I snarled defensively, feeling the blinding sense of fury boil within me. “Any last words, before I end your miserable existence?”

He quickly turned his head away, and from the muffled sobs and the trembling of his thin and frail shoulders, I could tell that he was crying. Rolling my eyes at this pitiful display, I started tapping my foot against the sand – a sure indication of my patience wearing thin.

Within a few moments, the quiet cries and shaking stopped, as the human lightly dusted some stray grains of sand off his worn trousers, and using the staff-like object lying near him, raised himself into a standing position.

“You never answered my question; what are you?” he replied softly, taking a hesitant step closer towards me.

“Haven’t you figured it out yet?!” I sneered.

Jeez, the intelligence of these creatures has diminished significantly since I’ve been imprisoned, next he’ll be asking me whether ‘aliens’ exist! Isn’t it well known that mankind is in fact the ‘aliens’ on this planet? After all, my race has been here since the beginning of time.

“A-Are you some sort of wizard?”

“God no! That’s a downright insult. How dare you associate me with those pretenders,” I snapped in an offended tone. “My kind is known by many names, but perhaps you would be most familiar with ‘djin’ or ‘genie’.”

“You’re a genie?” he gasped in surprise, nearly toppling over – such was his astonishment. “Aren’t genies supposed to grant wishes? Not kill people?”

“We have been known to use our talents to help humans achieve their desires,” I admitted grudgingly. “However, I haven’t granted any wishes in centuries, and I don’t plan on taking up that habit again.”

"C-Can I just have one wish before you kill me? Please?" he pleaded with me, even to the point of falling to his knees, in what many would ‘dub’ as a ‘praying’ position.

I opened my mouth to laugh, or to even make a rude comment about the absurdity of his question – I mean honestly, why should I even think about helping a human?! It’s not they’ve been very helpful to me – but I stopped, and actually pondered upon his words.

Maybe...

I don't know what made me even consider his request - maybe it was the flare of hope within his watery, doe-like brown eyes that moved me? Or perhaps it was the fact that I was used to granting wishes? Either way, as he waited silently for my answer, I couldn't help but give in to the possibility of granting this mortal his final request.

“Will you wish that you never came here today? Or that I won't kill you?” I asked in a soft, yet deadly voice, as I sauntered towards him.

“No! I give you my word that I won’t,” he promised eagerly. “I-I just wish to change something…something that happened long ago.”

“Can I trust you not to betray me?”

“Yes,” he affirmed, with a definite nod of his head. “You can trust me.”

“Okay…then what do you want me to change?” I replied, still unsure of whether or not I was doing the ‘right thing’ – by me, that is. “An event or something?”

“I want you to change something that happened about sixty years ago.”

“What? But for you…that’s practically forever ago! Why would you want to change something that happened back then?” I asked with a frown, confused by this human’s behaviour.

“Because that’s when I lost him,” he responded tearfully, his voice filled with heartfelt sorrow. “And I want to change that.”

Feeling awkward, I just nodded and looked away, giving him a moment to regain his composure. When I turned back, he was gazing at me with a surprisingly steady expression on his face, and I knew that he was ready.

“Picture the place in your mind, exactly as you remember it,” I commanded in a tense voice, not wanting to deal with any more of his tears.

Nodding once, he squeezed his eyes shut while imagining this place, and with a snap of my fingers, our journey through time and space began.

** ~ **

“Open your eyes,” I said tonelessly, as the land transformed and time shifted to form the place inside the old man’s head. “We’re here.”

Opening one eye at a time, the mortal gasped loudly as he surveyed our surroundings and using my hand to block the sun from my eyes, I too, let my eyes rove the picturesque countryside.

We were standing at the bottom of two hills – in the valley, that is – right next to the dusty road. The surrounding gentle slopes were covered with golden, rust-coloured grass and dotted with leafy trees and roaming cattle. Above us, the sky was painted a soft blue, with a few fluffy white clouds randomly floating in its’ midst.

A shout of laughter from a group of young boys, that were sitting a couple of hundred meters away in the long grass, captured our attention, and wrenching my eyes from the pristine environment, I watched as the boys began to mock-argue amongst themselves.

“C-Can they see us?” he asked suddenly, not taking his gaze from the males resting in the grass.

“No,” I replied. “We are like ghosts here. They cannot see, hear or feel us.”

“Oh…”

“So…what time and place are we at?” I asked, as he looked up at me with a pained expression on his face.

“It’s the summer of nineteen fifty-two,” he began softly, wiping a lone tear form the corner of his eye. “I've just turned twenty-six and Jongin's been living with me for nearly two years...W-We, with a couple of our friends, decided to take a couple of days off work to visit my parent's farm and to enjoy the summer heat."

"We?" I asked, looking at the trio of young and cheerful-looking boys, seated close to the road.

"Yeah," he sighed wistfully. "My best friend Baekhyun, his boyfriend Chanyeol, my workmate Kyungsoo...and J-Jongin."

I frowned as his voice became raspy and cracked when he mentioned this 'Jongin' person. It didn't take a genius to figure out that whatever he wanted to change, had something to do with Jongin.

All of a sudden, I heard a loud roar and glancing up at the top of the hill, I saw two monstrous contraptions - one bright red, and the other deep blue - rumbling with life, waiting expectantly for some sort of signal.

Hearing a strangled cry from next to me, I turned and was met with the human sobbing brokenly into his hands. Feeling extremely out of my comfort zone - as I'm not used to dealing with humans, let alone crying ones - I froze time around us with a snap of my fingers, before stiffly putting my around around his shuddering shoulders and patting him gently on his back.

"I don't understand," I muttered uncertainly, still awkwardly patting his back. "What's wrong?"

He took a couple of ragged breaths to calm his sea of tears, before looking up at me with moisture-filled eyes.

"Jongin..h-he suggest a car race to prove that his battered Ford Pilot was faster than Chanyeol's brand new Chevrolet Bel Air," he began with a bitter voice.

"Car?" I interruptedd, frowning at the unfamiliar word. "Like a new-age chariot?"

But the human seemed to be in some sort of trance, as his eyes glazed over and he didn't appear to notice my presence any longer. He continued to speak softly, as if I hadn't said a single word.

"I told them that it was a bad idea...b-but he just laughed and said not to worry - that I was being a baby," he choked, his voice becoming strained. "And Chanyeol's goading didn't help either...both of them were utterly convinced that their car was the better one. A-And the race started off fine. Jongin was in the lead uh-until..."

He stopped abruptly, his face crumpling with the evident pain of this memory, and within the span of a mere moments, he had burst into another round of heart-wrenching tears. Sighing inwardly, I enveloped the old man into my arms and started to rub his back soothingly. I had never seen such pain in a mortal's eyes, except for that one time...

Shaking my head roughly to rid myself of one of my rather painful memories, I tried to focus on the issue of hand. This man was really hurting.

"What's your name?" I murmured gently, trying to think of something to distract him and suddenly realising that I didn't even know what he was called.

"L-Luhan," he whispered through his sobs.

"Well Luhan," I said, rolling his name around on my tongue with a smile - something that I hadn't done in years. "Why are you so upset?"

"A-About two kilometres from here, a farmer was moving his herd to the paddock across the road...a-and Chanyeol managed to hit the brakes and stop in time, but Jongin...h-his brakes were jammed or something and they wouldn't work. So to avoid hitting a cow, he s-swerved off the road...and he lost control of the wheel and ploughed headfirst into a nearby tree. H-He went straight through the windshield and h-hit the tree...the impact k-killed him instantly."

I felt the stirrings of pity and sorrow for this man who had lost someone dear to him, deep within my chest, as I too, have lost someone whom I loved very much; and I couldn't help but think that perhaps I'm not as heartless as I've been told.

"So you want me to save your friend?" I asked, already trying to figure out ways in which I could achieve this.

"H-He's not just my friend," Luhan said quietly, looking up at me with a challenging gaze. "Jongin...I-I love him, and only him. Always."

I blinked in shocked, while the mechanisms of my mind whirred frantically, processing this information. But the more that I though about it, the more that it made sense. Of course Luhan loved Jongin that way...the way that he spoke of him, his voice tinged with tenderness and his eyes filled with longing - it was just a significant piece of the puzzle that I had managed to miss.

Bringing myself back to reality, I gave Luhan a small smile - although, it probably resembled a grimace, more than an actual smile, knowing me - to show that I didn't judge him based on who he loved. After all, my older, perfect brother had a male lover - which was his only fault in our father's view, considering that he'd had a bride chosen for him to marry.

"So what do you want me to do?" I asked him, looking up at the hill where the 'cars' were situated. "Fix his brakes? Move the tree?"

"No...I wish that they never had that race," he replied, in what was a noble attempt at a firm voice. "Can you do it?"

"Of course," I said with a slight nod, before snapping my fingers in the air and whisking us back to the beach and our 'correct time'. "Your wish has been granted."

** ~ **

Satisfied with my actions for today, in granting Luhan's wish, I inhaled deeply, relishing in the salty taste my tongue was experiencing. With a smile, I turned around to face Luhan, and was surprised to see him hunched over and clutching his head, with a blissful expression on his face. Realising that it was only the new memories that were invading his mind, because of Jongin's death not occurring in nineteen fifty-two, I smiled and placed my hand gently onto the top of his head - slowly the hectic rush into a steady stream.

"Thank you," he said suddenly, straightening his back and smiling tearfully at me. "Thank you for giving me a lifetime with him...you will never know just how grateful I am, just to have had those precious moments with him."

"We had a deal," I reminded him tonelessly, waiting for his reaction. "I granted you your wish..."

He looked startled for a few seconds - stunned even - but I watched as the awareness dawned in his eyes as he remembered our bargain, and finally he squared his shoulders and stared at me directly in the eye.

"I-I am ready to die," he began, his voice sounding only slightly shaky. "I would've sacrificed my life just to have had one more day with Jongin...but you gave me much more than that. And your gift is worth the price that I must pay."

"Well..." I began softly, I placed my hand on top of his head. "Aren't you lucky that I have a tendency to break my promises?"

"Wha...?'' he stammered, trying to look up at me, but my strong grip on his head prevented him from doing so.

"Instead of killing you, I'm going to give you and your lover another gift," I murmured, closing my eyes to determine the intricacies of the magic I was about to perform. "A second chance to spend a lifetime together."

He gasped and gazed at me in wonderment, before glancing down at his hands and noticing the youthful appearance that they now had. Quickly rushing over to the waters' edge, Luhan began to sob softly as he stared at his reflection in the water. With a genuine smile, I slowly walked over to join him, and also looked at his new appearance.

He had soft, honey-coloured locks, sprouting messily from the top of his head, and his fine and delicate cheekbones and nose only enhanced his natural beauty. A pair of rosy lips were curved into a joyous grin, and his almond-shaped, melted chocolate eyes, were sparkling with life and were filled with merriment. Although his flawless skin was quite pale and looked more 'ivory' than normal, it had a healthy glow to it - one that wasn't there before.

He was beautiful, to say the least. He had the 'innocent' and 'angelic' face that many females would kill for - not to mention that many men would desire. And his kind and gentle heart - I have already seen the immense love that it is capable of - would only fuel a human's yearning to be loved by him. Jongin was lucky

"B-But why?" he asked, still breathless with astonishment and happiness. "Why would you do this for me?"

"Because I was in love with a human once," I replied, staring off into the distant horizon, as a pair of pretty violet eyes sprung to mind. "And she chose another mortal over me...and in a jealous rage, I killed them both...and everyday I'm haunted by her accusing violet eyes, swimming with anger and hurt, and his cornflower blue ones, gazing lifelessly back at me. That's why I was in that lamp. It was my punishment for breaking the 'genie oath' of not-taking another's life."

"I-I'm truly sorry that she didn't return your feelings...I don't know what I would do if Jongin didn't feel the same way," Luhan said softly, gently placing his hand in mine and squeezing it. "Can't you go back and change it?"

"No...genie magic doesn't work that way. We can't change the actions of those of our own kind."

"Ohh...I'm very sorry."

"There's nothing anyone can do about it now," I sighed bitterly. "And that's why I'm doing this for you, because I lost my chance of having love, and that shouldn't happen to you."

He smiled sadly at me, and I was amazed that after all of the horrible things that I've said to him, he still had the ability to sympathise with me.

"I knew that you weren't an awful killing-machine," he chuckled, attempting to lighten the somber mood. "You're just a big softie!"

"Careful," I growled teasingly, as I gently pinched his cheek. "I can still kill you."

"But you won't."

"No," I replied with a grin. "I won't."

"Brother," came a voice from behind me. "Long time, no see."

I whirled around to see my elder brother, smiling warmly at me, while Luhan just gaped at him. He was dressed in various shades of green - to match the colour of his skin - and wore clothes that I presumed belonged to this new era of mankind; a plain green top, with knee-length olive pants and chunky shoes.

"Suho," I grinned cheerfully, as we gave each other a brotherly hug. "How've you been?"

"Meh...life's been boring without my baby brother to spice things up," he replied with a roll of his eyes, as we both remembered the hilarious antics that I would get up to when I was younger. "Anyway...Father wants to see you."

I groaned loudly, as the threatening image of my father - the Great Gold Genie - lurked in my mind's eye. As the 'ruler' of my race, it was he, who had sentenced me to life inside a lamp.

"Really?" I sighed in disappointment. "I suppose he'll just lock me up again inside that bloody lamp."

"No...he's proud of you, Sehun," he responded comfortingly. "What you did today...he saw it. And you've pleased him greatly."

"That's a first," I muttered darkly, remembering the many times that my charming father informed me that I was a disappointment and I should be more like Suho. "He's rarely ever been impressed with me."

"That's not true," Suho chided with a small sigh, as he rubbed his face in exhaustion. "Hurry along now, we don't want to keep him waiting."

"Fine," I grumbled childishly. "Luhan...when you return home, you will find that Jongin is the same age as he was in nineteen fifty-two, as you are too."

"T-Thank you," he whispered, as tiny teardrops of gratitude trickled down his cheeks. "How can I ever repay you?"

"Just enjoy being in love...because I never got the chance to," I replied with a sad smile. "A-And sometime in the future, when you and Jongin adopt a girl, please call her Viola."

"I will," he promised fervently, as he clasped my hand in both of his. "Thank you once again, I will never forget you...will I ever get to see you again?"

"Perhaps..." I replied with a knowing smile, as both Suho and I slowly transformed into curling tendrils of coloured smoke. "Perhaps one day."

"I hope so."

Luhan watched, completely mesmerised, as the twisting wisps of blue and green floated away in the late afternoon seabreeze. With a delighted smile blossoming quickly on his face, he turned and raced up the sand dunes, which were warm from the rays of the orange, setting sun. Enjoying the feeling of youthful vigour, Luhan laughed merrily and skipped energetically across the grassy field, to the battered and wind-beaten bus-shelter.

Upon realising that he was young and didn't need to catch the bus home because he could simply walk back to the house, Luhan squealed girlishly and ran in the direction of home, with a cheerful spring in his step, as his beloved Jongin would be waiting for him. Bolting towards his place in a speed that had been lost to him for decades, he couldn't help but wonder what he would be met with when he returned.

Would Jongin know what had happened?

Luhan didn't have the answer for that, but as he reached their rusted, iron gate, he didn't have to wait long to find out.

"Luhan!" shouted Jongin frantically, hurrying down the driveway and enveloping his lover into his arms. "I-I don't...I just woke up...a-and I'm this!"

Luhan threw his head back and laughed, long and loud, before flinging his slender arms around Jongin's neck and pulling him down for a passiontate kiss. Sighing inwardly as they breathlessly pulled apart, Luhan smiled gently at a confused and panicked Jongin, all the while wondering how on earth did he manage to get so damn lucky?

"Yes, and isn't it just wonderful, Jongin," grinned Luhan, bumping the tip of his nose against his beloved's chin. "We're young again!"

Chuckling at his sweetheart's adorable enthusiasm, Jongin gave Luhan a nervous smile before tightening his grip on his darling's slim waist and tugging him closer, until there was no space separating them. Leaning down, Jongin lightly brushed his lips against Luhan's plush, pale pink ones, eliciting a soft sigh from the older, before roughing pressing their mouths together and lustfully kissing as they had when they were younger.

For a few moments, Luhan was only aware of Jongin, and the delicious feeling of his lips ravishing his own. He parted his lips slightly, silently begging for Jongin to delve inside, to which the latter complied willingly. Before long, the couple was a swaying mass of tangled limbs and mussed hair, as stray, roaming hands found purchase, here, there and everywhere, all the while radiating heat as the lovers amorously kissed as they hadn't done in years.

After their passion was spent - for the moment, anyway - and they pulled apart, with reddened, swollen lips and askew clothing, Jongin sighed, holding Luhan's small frame in a loving embrace, before lightly resting his head on the top of his beloved's soft golden locks.

"Lu...I still don't understand," he began quietly, a frown marring his gorgeous face. "How did we become like this?"

"Jongin...I met a genie," he replied with a happy smile, pulling away slightly to gaze at him wide-eyed.

"You met a what?!"

"A genie...and he was really nice, Jongin. You would've liked him," sighed Luhan dreamily, snuggling into Jongin's chest, and inhaling his musky scent. "He granted me a wish."

"Really?" chuckled Jongin, still not fully believing Luhan's rather 'wild' explanation. "And what exactly did you wish for, my love?"

"You," whispered Luhan, before standing on his tip-toes to press a gentle kiss on his cheek. "I wished that I could have you."

"Well that's silly!" scolded Jongin with an amused laugh, not noticing the pained expression on Luhan's face. "You should've wished for something else - you already have me! Hmm...perhaps you could've wished for a really nice mansion...or that we would win next week's lottery!"

"Jongin..." began Luhan sadly. "I didn't have you before."

"What do you mean? Of course you did! You've always had me," Jongin replied with a fond smile, brushing Luhan's hair away from his face, and lightly kissing his temple. "I love you, Luhan. I would never leave you, I promise."

"I know. And I love you too," sniffled Luhan, as he pecked his lover lightly on the lips. "The genie...h-he gave us a gift Jongin - a second lifetime together!"

"Well...we'd better not waste it then," grinned Jongin cheekily - mostly recovered from the initial shock, and just deciding to 'go with it' and that if this were a dream, then it was a bloody good one. "To be honest, love, those clothes don't suit you now that you're young...and I think that we need to get you out of them."

"Yeah?" giggled Luhan, catching on to the implied hint, and allowing Jongin to tug him up the driveway.

"Yeah."

Many search for decades, yearning for the promise of love, but never get the chance to fulfil their wish. Others get lucky, and manage to find love and hold onto it for as long as they can...but Jongin and Luhan are truly blessed, because they get the gift of two lifetimes together.
