“Aww… They’re so cute in this!” Rio tried not to squeal out loud after seeing a photo portrayed in her laptop screen. The photo showed her own boyfriend, Ryosuke and his best friend, Daiki Arioka. In the last few days, Rio found herself being too engrossed with the idea of Ryosuke and Daiki’s “bromance” and the girl just couldn’t help but to “ship” them together. If you don’t know what that means, well, that’s because that’s fangirl talk - crazy girl talk. 

She was about to click her laptop to see more of their photos when a set of footsteps was heard, making the startled girl close her laptop shut. 

“What was that, nee-chan? Are you trying to hide something from me?” Rio’s friend Amu came out of nowhere and gave off a pout. She leaned forward towards Rio and acted betrayed - curious on what the older one was doing. 

“Ohh… It’s just you. Thank God” Rio sighed in relief after seeing her friend’s presence. She just thought how lucky she is that she wasn’t caught in the act by her own boyfriend. Not able to resist her friend’s ‘puppy dog eyes’, Rio shifted her body towards the girl and grabbed both of her upper arms. “Okay. I’m gonna tell you something weird but promise you won’t judge me” Rio continued and looked at Amu with a serious facial expression. The girl obediently nodded and listened intently to what the older one had to say. 

Rio sighed deeply and then, she spoke: “These last few days, I’ve been engrossed with the idea of Yama-chan and Dai-chan being… you know… lovey dovey.”

Silence. Amu blinked twice and just found herself opening Rio’s laptop and soon started typing something on the search bar. There it was, playing on her laptop was Daiki's and Yamada's "My Girl" performance from their 'DEAR' concert. 

Rio’s eyes widened and just squealed internally.

“You mean… that LOVELY COUPLE over there?” Amu and Rio’s eyes met each others as if saying ‘i-get-you’. “I SHIP THEM TOO!” Amu continued. Rio tightly hugged the younger one and just couldn’t believe that her friend is thinking the exact same thing she was fantasising about. 

“You too?! I thought you have a crush on Dai-chan?” Rio insensitively said which made Amu suddenly frozen. How in the world did Rio know???

“H-How… did you kno—?” Amu blushed. She’s not usually the type to broadcast her feelings to anyone - not even her close friends.

“Geez, no need to hide it. I think Kim, Fai, Rin and Yuki knows too… Even if you don’t tell us, we can read you like a book!” Rio replied and teasingly nudged the blushing girl in front of her. “But… the real question is, when are you gonna tell him?” 

Hearing this question, Amu vigorously shook her head, “No no no. We’re talking about Yama-chan and Dai-chan here, why did the topic suddenly go on me?” Rio heard her say, obvious that she’s quite flustered. She was about to tease the latter further when two familiar figure entered the dressing room. 

“We heard our names… Are you guys talking about us?” The same boys they were just ‘flailing’ about entered the scene, making the two girls panic. Rio immediately faced her laptop the other way while Amu fidgeted on the lower part of Rio’s shirt as if saying ‘nee-chan-we’re-busted’. 

Hearing this, Rio chuckled nervously and tried to find away to divert her boyfriend’s attention. 

“Ohh… we we’re just talking about how long will you guys be. We’re starving!” Rio lied which in turn made Ryosuke lift one of his eyebrows. He knows when Rio is lying… and she’s not very good at it. “Maa, are you guys finished with your photoshoot?” Sensing that her boyfriend is catching on, Rio quickly changed the topic. 

“Not yet. We’re just here to change Dai-chan’s tie” Ryosuke turned to the guy next to him who seems to be struggling to stay composed after seeing one particular person: Amu. 

“Amu-chan, do you mind passing me my tie?” Daiki gestured after seeing Amu leaning on the back of her chair where coincidentally, the said tie was hanging. Immediately, Amu picked it up and handed a velvety tie to Daiki, making their hands touch. “Sorry…”

“Let me put it on you” Not knowing that he was amidst AriYama fangirls, Ryosuke volunteered to fix Daiki’s tie which made the two girls scream internally. How can they stay calm when they’re acting like a couple in front of them. 

Rio fought the urge to pull out her camera and before she knew it… *Click*

“Was that a camera shutter?” Both boys turned their heads to Amu and Rio after they noticed a small blinking flash coming from Rio’s side.
