The Bewildering Decision.

It's Our Destiny.

After a five minute break, Suzy went ahead with her prefect duties: patrolling the classrooms. As she walked, thoughts flew across her mind. She secretly wondered if the mysterious new student who had addressed himself as 'Minwoo' earlier, would still be in the classrooms at this time. But then again, it wasn't very much like her to think about such issues that lacked significance.

Since it was her duty to patrol all levels of the building, she decided that she would need to walk pass every classroom anyway. Thus either way, she would still be able to find out if he was in the classroom.

Not long later, she finished her duties for the first two levels and was heading on the third level. Surprisingly, when she arrived at the similar classroom, he was seating on the same spot as he had been the previous time she had seen him. Similarly, he had been doing the same thing: studying. Except this time there weren't any form of disruption: giggling, rebellious female students.

Does studying really mean so much to him? He misses all his break times just to study. He's really strange. Yet it is this eccentricity that made Suzy interested about knowing more about him. Nevertheless, she wasn't very much the friendly type. Thus, she decided that she should just continue minding her own business.

Suzy gave him a last few glances and started to leave when she suddenly heard a voice, "Suzy noona."

She was caught dead in her tracks. "Damn." she whispered to herself. Did he notice her glancing at him? She turned towards him and stared, flustered.

"Why don't you come in?"

------

Luhan was troubled. Even though many girls in his previous school liked him, he hadn't expected a Queenka to like him. She even confessed and gave him a gift in front of so many people. She asked him whether he would accept her, but he only said he would give it a thought. It was just too...unbelievable, like in dramas and films.

Nevertheless he knew that he didn't like her; the answer he would give was almost a no. But something held him back from refusing her offer.

Luhan stood in front of the mirror in the school's toilet, trying to digest what've just happened. Slowly, an idea flew into his mind.

...Jealousy?

He couldn't comprehend the fact that Suzy hated him. What was so hateful about him? All his life, everyone loved him; his parents, his friends, even strangers were dazzled by him. Luhan hated to be arrogant but he knew that a part of him, as a result of all this love given and shown, was silently and secretly proud of his 'accomplishments'. One could assume that a Queenka's confession would be a great achievement to him- probably the greatest. Yet, he felt sad.

There was this unexplainable, incomprehensible, emptiness in his heart.

And in order to make this feeling go away, he was going to think of an idea. An idea to trigger jealousy.

-------

Suzy sat on the edge of her bed, spacing out as she thought about what happened earlier.

Both Suzy and the mysterious new student sat in the deserted classroom, gazing at each other. She hadn't any idea of what she ought to say or what she should say. He'd just invited her into the classroom and kept quiet throughout. The silence was killing her. With every second that passed, the atmosphere seemed to get more awkward. She couldn't even seem to get the thought out of her head: why did he call her noona instead of sunbae?

"So...how's your work coming along?" She'd asked.

Minwoo blinked as he answered her with a question that didn't seem much like an answer at all. "Will you do me a favour?"

What else could she say? Obviously she nodded.

Keeping a straight face, he questioned, "Will you be my tutor?"

She almost choked. Was she hearing things? No doubt she was smart, yet she had absolutely no tutoring experience. This was the first time anyone ever asked her to tutor. Even though she'd taught her classmates homework, none of them've ever asked her for such a favour.

Not wanting to be hostile, she agreed.

"Aish." Suzy sighed in frustration. "Why am I such a pabo sometimes?" Suddenly she was reminded of the fact that she doesn't have the room to herself anymore; she was sharing a room with Luhan. She immediately looked around the room to see if he'd caught her talking to herself. Fortunately, he still wasn't home.

"Where the heck has this person gone to?" She questioned in perplexity.

She hadn't gone home with him neither did she see him after school had ended. For some reason, they've grown hostile towards each other and hadn't been talking all day since she last insulted him, mildly.

"Ugh, who cares about him. I should enjoy the time I have without his presence in this room."

-------

Suzy flipped on her bed, turned to the alarm clock, and gazed at it: 1am. Luhan still isn't home. She'd tried to stop thinking about the whole matter of him not coming home but she just couldn't keep the thought out of her head. What if something happens to him? What if he got into an accident or something? What do I do?

As seconds passed, her thoughts irritated her, "I'm only up this late because if anything happens to that person, I would be the one at fault. My mother would surely hit the ceiling." She tried to comfort herself as she sat up.

Frustrated, she blew her bangs and flopped back onto bed. There's no use even thinking of it; what can I possibly do? Run out in the streets when it's so dark? To think of it, eomma was so oblivious not to have noticed Luhan's inexistence.

Forget it. She shut her eyelids as she attempted to forget all of it, all of him. Even though it'd been hard, fatigue soon overwhelmed her as it dragged her soul into dreamland.

---------

Luhan took a quick glance at his watch as he unlocked the door: 3am. He was worn out, tired. Despite this, he definitely couldn't miss school the next day as the end-of-semester tests were approaching. As he quietly dragged his feet across the room, he sneaked a peek at her.

She looked so peaceful while asleep; it was like he'd been staring at another person. Nobody could've ever known how fierce or hostile she could be. She was just downright cold: at least, to him. Luhan couldn't stop thinking about how she'd hurt his feelings this morning. He'd tolerated so much of her criticism without saying much. Yet for some reason, he couldn't help but feel offended by her words.

The reason why he hadn't been talking to her all day wasn't because he was angry with her; but because he didn't know how to face her. Since he'd been such an irritating sight to her, he figured that he would neither talk nor approach her.

He even...

Luhan sighed as he kneeled down by her bedside, gazing at her profile. Despite the fact that she'd looked so calm, her sleeping posture was strange: it was somewhat of a troubled person. Slowly, he stretched out for her blanket and gently covered her.

He then took a quick shower, dried his hair and prepared to go to sleep.

As he laid on bed, he contemplated the choice he'd made.

Was he wrong to've made such a decision?

---------

"Morning." Suzy spoke as she rubbed her wet hair with a towel. Since Luhan returned home later, she'd decided to let him sleep for a longer time before waking him up. She was about to wake him up when she got out of the shower to see that he was already awake.

Luhan yawned and replied, "Morning." He took his towel and his uniform and paced into the bathroom even before Suzy could speak.

Should I ask him? Suzy contemplated about asking him about his whereabouts last night. Doesn't that show that I care? No, I don't think I should ask.

He'd expected her to leave the house before him yet she didn't. When Luhan walked out of the room, he saw that she was still by the table, eating her breakfast. This wasn't very usual as she would usually take a few bites and just leave. Nonetheless, he quietly took the seat beside her and began eating.

After several minutes, Suzy finished her meal and had begun wearing her shoes. Since Luhan felt awkward leaving with her, he decided to eat slowly, making sure he doesn't finish just in time when she leaves. Surprisingly, after she wore her shoes, she stood by the door and waited silently. He didn't understand her doing thus he kept quiet.

"Yah. Hurry up. The bus isn't going to wait for you." She suddenly spoke, leaving him even more baffled.

"Oh. Arasso." Now that he was certain she had been waiting for him, he quickly finished up his food and prepared to leave.

-------

"Why did you wait for me?" After long moments of silence, Luhan suddenly decided to start speaking.

"Because my mother told me to take care of you." She murmured, so softly that he almost couldn't comprehend. Luhan glanced up at her back and thought, liar.

"So if your mother didn't say so you would've just went without me?" He questioned, having mixed feelings.

"Maybe. Maybe I would." Suzy answered, gazing out of the window.

After the short conversation, both remained quiet throughout. Very soon, they reached the school and went into the classroom. For the rest of the day, they didn't have any form of interaction.

-------

All 4 of them stood in the gloomy darkness; the only source of light coming from the windows, high up, above the lockers, secluded in an eerily silent room. The atmosphere was enough to make Luhan anxious, however, it was the decision he was going to make that made him even more apprehensive.

"So?" Hyori questioned after blowing rings of smoke into the air, leaning against a blue locker.

"Yah, Hyori. You know smoking's prohibited here- plus, it's bad for health." Jessica gave her a look whilst tapping her foot according to a certain rhythm.

"Don't give me that health bull." Hyori beamed as she blew more smoke into the air. "You know I don't give a damn." She narrowed her eyes at Jessica and then shifted her gaze to Luhan.

Luhan, who was more caught up with contemplation, hadn't noticed her stare. He glimpsed at Chaeri, who gave him a tender smile, awaiting his reply. Can I like her? What are the consequences of doing this? He thought hard, for the wrong decision might mean that gangs would be riding up his since Hyori was affiliated to many of them.

No matter how hard he tried to think, he couldn't help but feel distracted. His heart told him, no. His mind told him, he should go for it.

Hyori cleared and raised her voice slightly, "so?" She straightened up and continued, "We ain't got all day you know."

Both Jessica and Hyori glared at Luhan, showing their obvious impatience towards him.

"I........" He mumbled. All 3 girls stared at him in suspense, waiting for his reply. Finally, he managed to reveal a smile at Chaeri and muttered, "I'll do it. I'll go out with you."

Immediately, Chaeri's face lightened up as if she'd just been granted the most amazing wish ever. "Thank you..oppa." She kept a smile plastered across her face, unable to cease. Luhan was supposed to sigh in relief yet he silently sighed in frustration. What'd he just agree to?

"Hmph." Hyori sighed in slight contentment. "I thought you were going to reject her." She straightened herself and walked towards the exit when she suddenly stopped. "Luckily you hadn't reject her, or..things would've turned out worst." Hyori gave a soft, eerie chuckle before leaving.

"Take care of Chaeri." Jessica gave Chaeri and Luhan a concerned look, flipped her hair, and made her way out.

"I will." Luhan softly uttered.

Author's Note*

This took quite a while but nevertheless, the chapter's done ^_^!

I figured I needed to give it an interesting touch so I kinda twisted the story plot a bit.

Happy Chinese New Year!

School's reopening tomorrow, meh.

Still contemplating on whether I should buy Exo's soon-to-be-released-album or BAP's "One Shot".

Comments are very much appreciated, as well as subscribes!

P.S. Luhan loves you all.
