The receptionist told Xiao Xin to go up to dance room number 5 and wait for the president.

Xiao Xin walked in and put her stuff down. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled.

"This face will be all over Asia and hopefully back home one day…"

She decided to practice her favorite dance routine while waiting.

With one glace, you could tell she was a pro. Every movement was bursting with confidence.

The very moment her routine ended, Lee Soo Man and a female translator walked in. He pleasingly clapped and laughed like a jolly old man.

"With that talent and that face, you can debut in a year, two years tops. All you have to do is improve on your Korean and Chinese."

He patted Xiao Xin on the shoulder. "I couldn’t have found a better trainee. You're going to be very successful one day."

"Kamsahamnida" Xiao Xin bowed in a perfect 90 degree formation.

"Respectable, talented, beautiful, tall, and smart. Welcome to the SM family. I have some news for you. Since your Korean and Chinese aren't very good,  I have selected a sunbae to help you."

"Sunbae annyonghaseyo" Xiao Xin bowed to the beautiful lady translating for the president.

 Another jolly laugh boomed out of the president.

"This woman is my personal translator. Your translator will arrive in approximately five minutes. He is the leader of rookie group Exo-M. He is fluent in English, Korean, mandarin, and Chinese. I'll leave the rest of his introduction to him. Have fun and good luck."

            The door creaked open a little. Xiao Xin has been waiting for his arrival for the past twenty minutes. "approximately 5 minutes my " Xiao Xin thought to herself.

            "Sunbae annyonghaseyo. You're so late. Are you okay?

"Yea, I'm fine. Some girl in the lobby spilled coffee all over me. Mianhae for being late."

His voice was calm and genuinely apologetic.

That voice. It sounded so familiar. That situation sounded so familiar as well…

            The door opened and a god like face appeared.

It was that guy! The tall, handsome, muscular, and beautiful guy, named Kris that Xiao Xin had met in the lobby.

Her jaw dropped..

The moment Kris laid eyes on her, his jaw dropped too.

"Annyonghaseyo" Xiao Xin smiled awkwardly and bowed

"Neh." Kris awkwardly rubbed the back of his head

"So apparently you speak English… that’s cool." Xiao Xin tried to lighten the mood to no avail.

Feeling awkward, she looked down. She noticed a familiar image sticking out of Kris's pocket.

She turned around to see where she put her stuff. Her picture of her parents wasn’t there. Then it hit her. She dropped it when she bumped into Kris.

"uhmm Kris, is that my picture of my parents in your pocket?"

he looked down at where she was pointing and pulled the picture out.

*FLASHBACK*

Kris cooly walked away to go clean himself up so that he could go meet his hoobae later. He stepped on something and almost slipped.

"Huh? What is this?"

He bent down and picked up a photo of a young couple holding a baby.

"Hmm. I wonder whose this is. The girl in the picture is so pretty."

He stuffed the picture in his pocket and went on his way.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"It's yours? Here." He extended his arm to give it back, but then his hand shot back.

"Wait a minute… How do I know that it's yours?" There was something about teasing this girl that gave him satisfaction. "The girl in the picture is too young and pretty to be your mother."

Fed  up with his attitude,  Xiao Xin snatched it back.

"My parents had me when they were 18. mind your own business."

With an "offended" face, Kris said, "Did you just snatch something out of your sunbae's hand?

"It was mine in the first place!" Xiao Xin was frustrated and accidentally gave him attitude.

"You dare give me attitude?" Kris stormed out of the room, pretending to be mad.

As he walked away with his back facing her, he felt a tug on the side of his mouth. A smirk emerged

"Giving attitude to your sunbae on the first day I see… I'm going to have fun messing with you."
