Shattered (On Mini-Hiatus)

Description

Yun Jaehwa lives with, her uncle in the heart of New York. Sounds pretty normal right? Let me, rephrase that. Yun Jaehwa lives with her alcoholic and at times abusive uncle. They live in a small apartment, in the center slum of New York City. Ever since her parents death, it’s been as if all traces of her past life have been hidden or just plainly destroyed. And when her little sister, her last reason to keep going, was taken away from her, she completely changed. She has no recall of, what happiness and kindness is. Instead she has grown a close bond to feelings, such as betrayal and not trusting others than herself. Every sane thought she had, got torn apart by her uncle, who mentally terrorized her and labelled her worthless. One day when he pushes her buttons to hard, she snaps and decides to leave for good. Though her past is blurry, there is one person whom clearly shines trough. A person whom sent, letters almost every week, since her parents’ death. Probably the one person she actually would put her trust in, the one person that has faith in her, that believes in her. Yun Sunkyung, her mothers’ sister. She manages to scrap money enough for a single one way plane ticket to Seoul, South Korea and leaves after one last confrontation with her uncle. Arriving in Seoul a new chapter of Yun Jaehwa’s life begins, but will she be able to break past habits? And what happens when, she learns the truth about her family? Will she finally be able to open up? And finally let someone put back together, the torn and broken pieces of her heart?

Foreword

Yun Jaehwa

Doesn’t care how painful the burden may be, as long as SHE alone carries it. Though only being 18 by age, her knowledge about life and its darker sides, is much bigger than any adult could ever imagine. Taking in all of the circumstances, Jaehwa isn’t a depressed person at all. As a matter of fact, she can at times be thoughtful, almost reasonable and even sweet! As the name Jaehwa’s originally means courage , she tends to courageously spit her sarcasm as a defense mechanism.

Yun Nam Hea

Is like a kid version of Jaehwa, only being 8 years old. She perfectly resembles Jaehwa before she became isolated. A pure, innocent and outgoing version, of how she use to be. Though Nam Hea herself suffers from a small trauma, of not wanting to be left by herself. All alone. The trauma dates back, to the day she was separated from her unnie. Nam Hea currently lives with her auntie, Yun Sunkyung.

 Kwon Jiyong

Is a hot tempered baby-face, with more drive than a firecracker! He lives in the bad end of the town, were drugs, ion and gang violence is almost as normal as seeing a person sleep on the street. And that is(VERY) normal. Though Jiyong is bad tempered, he can be pretty funny. Since his sarcasm, always seems to get him into trouble. He’s not the type of person to step on you unless, you step on him first! He likes to view himself as a street-artist, since he’s known in the underground hip-hop scene under the name G-Dragon. Nobody really knows much about him, family, girlfriends or even last name? He just seems to appear and disappear, whenever he likes.

Kim Jaejoong

Lives next door to Yun Sunkyung and is a great asset to her as well. Since he tends to babysit and take care of Nam Hea, when she’s at work or traveling for business. He’s a sweet, sentimental and at times serious person. Though he’s very mannered and kind, a mysterious and almost dangerous aura surrounds him. And the fact that he likes to keep to himself, only adds on to the mystery surrounding Kim Jaejoong. Who knows how many secrets lie under the porcelain-façade?
