I remember like it was only yesterday

But that was 12 months ago

When I last heard you say...

"Here I go off to the zone"

We all remember saying goobye

And having a party before you left

You told us,"This is for you. Please don't cry."

But once you were gone our faces became wet

But all of a sudden we heard you cuss

Then there was a silence..

We saw on the news that an attack took place

We all went quiet to hear the name of the ones who died

And when your names were left unsaid our hearts returned to natural pace

And after lots of hopes and worries

We were told something that made us all crazy

"All of my boys and me are coming home surely"

We all became trapped in a bit of a daze
