Grace Heart
Description
The world of Castella a mystical place full of magic and wizardry. The world of Castella is divided up into three different continents: Solaris, Avial and Geniros. In all of these continents mortals and magic live with each other in perfect harmony working side by side to produce a better way of living, however only certain humans have magic in them, this power is called a Grace.
A Grace is a specific power that a mortal has, anyone who has a Grace is called a Graceling, each Graceling has a specific Grace bestowed on them. A grace is activated when the Gracelng is in his/her mid-teens, the Grace can also be activated when the Graceling is in any form of danger. A grace is ranked 1 to 5 an example of a grade 1 Grace is the Grace of cooking which gives the Graceling incredible cooking skills while an example of a grade 5 Grace is the Grace of Fire and you can probably guess what power that gives a Graceling.
Enough about the Graces, its time to tell you a bit about Castella. As i have said before Castella is divided into the three continents Solaris, Avial and Geniros.
Avial is the continent in the northern part of Castella, its a mountainous region and most of its cities are in the sky. Not many people know about Avial as its cities are located in such a high place.
Geniros is a large island continent located in the western part of Castella, there are many rumors about Geniros, some say many monster live there, others say it is a land were a powerful magical source is kept hidden.
Finally the continent of Solaris which is in the southern part of Castella. The Minial hills is what separates the continent of Avial and Solaris. Solaris' capital Solidia is where the Royal Family live. The Royal Family have been assigned to protect the balance of magic so that there wont be a full scale war between those of magical and mortal blood. However a mysterious and evil force has killed the Royal Family, my family and now I'm the sole survivor of the royal family on the run, with my childhood friend and guardian Tao on a mission to stop the force that killed my family and trying to prevent a full scale war from happening....
Foreword
I woke up in the middle of the night, a cold breeze hit my milky white skin as I looked out my window, I could not sleep so I decided to go to my parents chamber. Quietly, I made my way along the castle corridors, surprisingly enough all the guards on duty were asleep, They deserve it I guess with all the work that they do and all. I was approaching my parents room when a voice in my head spoke to me.
Celestia don't go near our parents room there's a man in there with a knife in his hands he just killed our parents. Mother warned me, and she told me to tell you just before she died. Listen carefully Celestia, I want you to hide, run away from Solidia, go to the village and bring Tao with you incase anything happens to me tonight. Bring the 12 amulets with you, I have a feeling you would need it to stop what ever killed our parents. Remember that I love you k baby girl, now RU-
The message from my brother was cut off, something must have happened to him! I tried to look for help but then realization hit me, no wonder the guards were asleep, they must have been under a spell. Realizing that nobody could help me in my situation apart from Tao, I stealthily and swiftly made my way to the treasury vault, were the amulets were kept. I grabbed them and put into a small pouch inside a leather sling bag that I had found in the vault. A map of Castella, a first aid kit, and 5 pouches filled with gold coins.
After I gathered what I needed I teleported to Tao's house near the outskirts of Solaris and woke him up. He groaned when I did so but I couldn't care less about him being annoyed at me for disturbing his beauty sleep. He looked at me wondering why the hell I woke him up at this hour in the middle of the night. I then began to explain what happened at the castle, his expression changed from annoyance to complete bewilderment. He couldn't believe the things that I had told him but he promised to accompany me on my journey anyway. I knew I could count on Tao for anything, he got out of his bed, kneeled beside a fabric rug and removed it off the floor to reveal a trap door underneath it. He opened the trap door, and there was a staircase leading to an underground tunnel, he signaled me to follow him and I did. I grabbed Tao's hand not wanting to get lost in the tunnel, it was pretty dark but Tao seemed to know where he was going. I guess hes been here a lot if he knows where were heading to . We reached the end of the tunnel, turns out it lead to forest outside of the city.
'' Celestia wait here I'm just going to get some equipment we might need for our journey'' Tao said before heading of to who knows where.
After a few minutes of waiting he arrived with two horses, each horse carrying a bag full of equipment.
'' What's in the bag Tao'' I asked with curiosity.
'' I got us some basic weapons we could use, you never know when we might need them'' Tao said seriously before hopping on his horse, I soon followed and got on my own horse.
'' You ready?" He asked, I nodded and we both began our journey.
Annyeong this is EXOticinspirit1 here uhm well I got inspired by Navi_7769's Legends series as well as a book I borrowed from my school library called Graceling by Kristin Cashore. It's my first time writing here on AFF so I hope you support me but most of all I hope you enjoy this story. If the story is similar to ones you have read before I assure you its pure coincidence.
