Memories
Description
A childhood promise is finally fulfilled.
Foreword
A place can hold special memories for people; it can transport them back to a time when they were happiest…
The sun was bright and it seemed almost angry as it shone and cast its unrelenting light at the world. Almost everyone was inside or finding a shady place to sit and do nothing. The schools were out for summer so no one would be at the high school; this was a perfect place to meet up with his best friend as it was exactly the same length from both of their houses. The boys sat under a particularly shady tree smiling at one another just happy to be together.
“I got you something.” The little boy said to the pretty brunette next to him, he dug into his pocket, his little fingers getting stuck in the pocket of his jeans. The pretty boy giggled but waited patiently for whatever it was his friend had to give him.
“I got it!” He said excitedly. “Here,” He handed his best friend a simple silver ring on an intricate expensive looking chain.
“Oh, Yunho, it’s so pretty!” The little boy marveled his big doe eyes twinkling as he looked at his present. Yunho blushed and looked down scratching his neck awkwardly. “But, why are you giving it to me?”
“Jaejoongie, I don’t need a reason to give something to my best friend.” Yunho scowled, taking the chain and placing it around Jaejoong’s neck and clasping it safely so it wouldn’t fall off. “It’s a ring; it’s to show we will always be together. I saved up specially to get it for you. I got the chain from my mommy’s jewelry box because I ran out of money.” Jaejoong the ring smiling warmly at it. He could see why it would have to be on a chain, for now it was too big to fit on his fingers. Suddenly Jaejoong turned around and launched himself at Yunho, nestling his head on Yunho’s neck.
“Thank you, Yunnie.” He said voice sounding muffled.
“You’re welcome, Jaejoongie.” Yunho said wrapping his little arms around his best friend.
