Honestly, the most difficult part in the process of writing for most writers is that they just cannot be inspired. The urge, the desperate need to write is there, and plenty of it; but what use is that against the huge blank space that clogs up the writer’s head named nothingness? If you have no set idea to begin with...how will you come up with a story itself?

Or say that you’ve actually gotten hold of an idea, any idea. It’s fresh, new, and original - plus you’re sure it’s just perfect. But halfway through the story itself you find that you seek a hiatus, a rest from the fiction.

You simply cannot see where the once-fantastic story is going, or how to lead it to the next, more thought-out part. The password for the form is a sentence describing why your bias is amazing. Or maybe there’s those days where you simply can’t be ed to plot out an entire story, or those days where you curse your brain for coming up with such ridiculously cliched ideas (yes, arranged marriage, we’re talkin’ to you!) or those days where you know that you just have to write but stare at your laptop screen like a spasming turtle waiting for inspiration to clobber you over the head with its blessing.

We’ve seen countless stories (some of them unfortunately delightful) put to an end just like that. How do you think the term ‘hiatus’ became so (regrettably) well-used in the fanfic world? Sure: there were personal, private reasons for some, or maybe some other external reason that genuinely interfered with the author’s writing.

However, a hiatus generally signifies loss of direction. Don’t tell us you haven’t been there before, staring at a blank something and wondering how the hell to start without combusting into plot-less goo on the floor.

It may be an issue with the plot, or idea, or concept. Maybe all that’s missing is inspiration - but those disgusting creative writing prompt sites (with garbage such as What if you woke up one morning and your pet had blue fur?  floating around) are offering no help. Of course, the difference between them and us is that ours will be more like - what if you woke up one morning and you were the pet?!

And now, you have decided that you need time to regain your direction to begin. Maybe it’s a weak case of a few weeks’ hiatus, or those massive ers that span years.

But - and we don’t want too much hope in the reading of the following – but, there may be a cure to the infamous hiatus disease.

It’s simple; get inspired!

Poster shops, trailer shops, picture shops...we’ve all seen these before. And this is no different, except for the item itself.

We do not sell posters or graphics of any sort.
We sell ideas.

Just read the rules, check out some examples... and if you think you’ve found your muse, you’re good to go! The layout will be explained more thoroughly – naturally - but here are the basics.

Say you are someone who really wants to get inspired. All you need to do is to read through our different prompts / excerpts and comment on the chapter of the prompt you want. When you’ve gotten your story, just PM us a link to the fic and credit us in your foreword, complete with a link back to the shop.

If you are someone currently in the middle of a story and facing problems, just fill out the form and post it as a blog! Then link us the blog in the comments (or PM us) and we’ll get straight to the core of the problem any way you want. Just remember to credit us in the chapter you write, or your foreword.

(1) customers will be treated as royalty - in return, we expect none of the ‘ew this idea ’ or ‘your “help” was sh*t’ business. yes, it may be true (?!) but keeping the honesty inside is just common courtesy. we always have the blacklist to you to if said happens.

(2) we always welcome any sort of constructive feedback; in no way is this perfect. now folks, the word used was ‘constructive’, not ‘hate’ or ‘troll-like’. or flaming.

(3) we understand that we won’t be able to give thousands of different ideas so satiate everyone. in fact, if the shop becomes more known there may even be a lack of ideas. to prevent this from happening as much as possible, all ideas will be open for the use of the community. if it has been used, you can use it too.

(4) you should try and use the idea if you said you would. because really, that’s just us repeating what you said, back to you. heck, why is this even a rule?

(5) if you use our ideas, please try to use proper grammar, for the benefit of everyone reading your fic and us seeing how awesome you made our drab ideas develop into. please. read any good fic and you’ll notice zero or one grammar slip.  

(6) there is a password, and it will change from time to time. surely everyone will be able to find it, right? because all of you read the text beforehand, right? because we totally didn’t spend hours laboring on the texts, right? and you didn’t mindlessly skip over it… right, guys?

(7) possibly one of the most important rules here; you must credit us. this is the one rule that, no matter what the reason was, if you didn’t follow you sink straight to the murky depths of the blacklist. ohoho, don’t think we don’t check. we will check every single story because stalking is our area of expertise. we will know, and you will be banished.

(8) just a simple comment will suffice if you want to use an idea. just that. or, if you’re an apathetic ‘rebel’ with total disregard for the rules (along with being illiterate and friendless), you can just take the ideas and use them without permission and go to the blacklist. you want to know how being in the blacklist could affect you? simple. we cut your arm off.

(9) you will receive a grand total of zero chances to escape the blacklist, now isn’t that just great? ignorance is a crime. however, we are susceptible to cookies. for those who don’t ‘get it’- this means you get just one more chance to escape the blacklist, and that is only if you surrender all your cookies.

(10) the prompts will be open ended. take that as your cue to get your creative gears ticking! they may come off as rather vague and totally unhelpful and not worth a credit to us at all – but there’s a reason we made ‘em that way.

(11) subscribe and comment, then subscribe and comment. did you subscribe and comment?

(12) to ‘apply’ your problem, as stated before, just fill the form out and post it as a blog. we accept the links either on our comments section for the brave ones and PMs for those who want privacy.

(13) you can actually ‘request’ for a certain theme if you feel as though your specialty lies in that area. just don’t get your hopes up.

(14) make sure to keep a watchful eye on the status count up there. you can expect an influx of ideas when it’s open, and slightly less when it’s busy, etc. uh… try not to bash the doors down by demanding for more ideas?

(15) you can make the main characters anyone. you can make the pairing anything from the ‘normal’ boy idol girl idol to OTPs to yuri OTPs to OCs to apply fics to anything. anything. if you have a fruit you can write a banana x melon (kudos to you if you got the double meaning to that) fic set in Korea to keep it Asian. ...we just provide the -kicking you need to get started.

(16) the prompts are also free to be “copied and pasted”. however, to prevent the naughty children who take things without asking, it’s been disabled for you to decide for yourself. just drop us a PM if you want the prompt as you see it and it shall be emailed to you.

(17) say you’re just casually surfing aff because all your friends were crushed under a giant pineapple when you see a fic with an idea that sounds dangerously similar to one of the ones we gave out, seems to be from us and does not credit us. what are you waiting for? tell us. we’ll be after them with guns if your suspicions prove true.

and if this is you, and you somehow forgot; you better start packing for your lifetime stay on the blacklist.

(18) any concept or story similar in plot to those suggested by us was totally involuntary and unintentional. our ideas are original - though there’s always a chance they’ve floated around before.

(19) remember that for your story to be unique you might want to add your own twists... all ideas don’t need to be followed word-for-word. the purpose of ∞ is not to tell you what to type and how to do so – it’s more to supply you with the paper and pen you need to transform blank into beautiful.

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?) My problem is that I’m up to the part where the boy falls in love with Zombierella. I don’t know how to start off, and my mind is in turmoil. Plus I have Jeusntasililas Morelosicpoa, which is a disease that causes you to write nonsense.
