Confused
You won't leave me, will you?
Taemin walked on the streets where he had saved Gillian. Cops were already there and the
blood had already dried. Gillian's shoes hadn't left any mark and he was sure that he didn't leave any
evidence pointing to them in the crime scene.
The ashes had already flown away somewhere and the woman's body was already taken to their
headquarters so Taemin kept walking.
Finally, he was in front of Gillian's house. He rang the bell but nobody answered it.
“Are you looking for Gillian, young man?” an old woman asked him.
“De.” he slightly bowed.
“I'm afraid nobody's home.”
Taemin looked at the house. “May I ask what happened?”
“Gillian, well, her asthma attacked this morning and she was rushed to the hospital but she'll be
back the day after tomorrow.”
“Do you know which hospital they rushed her to, grandma?”
“oh... ~~ hospital.” she said
Taemin smiled and bowed. “Kamsahamnida.”
Taemin waited up until the last hour when nobody was with her and the nurse would take a look at
her in another 2 hours before he entered the room.
She looked up from the book she was reading and smiled at Taemin.
“Taemin-ssi. What are you doing here?” she asked, sitting up properly.
“Uh... my cousin... he's sick and I had to go over here.” he said.
Gillian nodded thoughtfully. Vampires get sick, she mentally noted. “Oh.”
“Uh... I heard you were here too so... I brought the shoes.” he said, stepping closer to her bed
andhanding her her shoes.
“Thank you.”
She placed the shoes below her bed with her good hand. Taemin felt that it was time to leave but
he couldn't. He stared at Gillian, looked away, then stared again.
“Gillian-ssi” he started to say but then the door opened and Minho came in.
He sighed. “It's good that Jonghyun hyung isn't here...” then his eyes fell on Taemin. “oh...” then he
looked at Gillian. She smiled.
“Minho-ah, meet Taemin-ssi. He was the one who saved me in the club.”
“Oh.” Minho said again, nodding. “Hi.” he bowed.
Taemin bowed slightly back then looked at Gillian once more. “Gillian-ah, i'm going.”
Gillian nodded. “Thank you for dropping by, Taemin-ssi.”
“De. Get well soon.”
“Ne. Your cousin too.”
Taemin turned from the open door and nodded. “I'll tell him that.” he said, then closed the door.
“So...” Minho said.
“So what?” she said.
“He was good-looking.”
“Ara.” she smiled.
“So?” Minho said again.
“So...” she said, looking at him, confused. “Seriously, what is it?” she asked.
“Anio.” he looked at her good wrist and the bracelet was still there. He smiled and sat near her
bed. “Aish. You didn't take your medicines again, did you?”
“Ya!!. Of course I did!” she said.
“Then what happened?” he asked.
“I was fine then I just... I couldn't breathe anymore.” she said.
“hmmm...” he mused.
“Chincha!!!!” she said loudly.
“I didn't say anything!” Minho said defensively.
Taemin stood in the hall of the hospital, overhearing Minho and Gillian's conversation. He
frowned. That shouldn't have happened. My blood should've healed at least parts of her asthma, he
thought.
“Young man, are you okay?” He looked up and saw a nurse. The nurse patted his back. “It's
gonna be alright.”
Taemin blinked and held his hands up, smiling.
“Anio. It's not like that. Really.”
After 10 minutes of trying to explain to the nurse, the nurse finally left him alone.
Taemin sighed. “Wow.”
“Krystal, you have to win his heart.” a voice said, facing Krystal after she reported what had
happened with their talk.
“I will try my best.”
“Just tell me what you need me to do and i'll give it to you if it lies within my power.”
Krystal nodded. “He seemed.... distracted. Like there was something bothering him.”
“Tell me what you heard.”
“Well, while he was sleeping, I was at his doorway and he kept saying... 'Sulli'” she said, looking
up at the voice. His face had grown stiff and cold.
“I thought I hd dealt with that.”
“Who is it?” Krystal asked.
“It is not relevant. You have to win his heart.”
Krystal nodded again.
“If you can't, blackmail him.”
