She was sitting on the edge of her bed, staring at the ground. Once in a while, she lifted her chin up and glanced around her room. She sighed. No matter what she did, she couldn’t help but to notice the emptiness. There was no way she could deny what she was feeling inside. She felt awfully….. lonely. The quietness and the emptiness was driving her insane. Eventhough it’s been 10 years, she still couldn’t get use to it.  

She tried to distract her mind by playing with her fingers, but it was totally pointless. A sigh escaped her lips again as she stared at the ceiling. * what time is it anyway?* she thought.  She looked at the old grandfather clock in her room and couldn’t help but wondered. * it is morning? Or it is night time already? * She frowned.  She hated the fact that she couldn’t tell whether it’s morning or night.

Still sitting, she tried her best to think of a way to help her ease her loneliness. At last, she stood up and begun to walk around her room. After a while, she grew tired and lean against the wall with her back facing it. *This is so not going to work.* she bitterly thought. With one hand behind her back, she tapped her chin in wonder.  Then, she whirled around to face the wall. Now, she was face to face with the wall. She put her right palm on the wall and slowly lean her ears against it. She tried to catch any sound produced, but to no avail. She sighed again, for the umpteenth time.

Slowly, she walked further away from the wall with her hands on her chest. Once she was in the middle of her room, she stopped, and stood there with her eyes closed. *I can’t be like this. I am much stronger than this, right? I have to keep on smiling….. for their sake.* She thought to herself. Feeling that she had motivated herself enough, she tried to plaster a smile on her face. "I am fine. I will definitely be fine." She keep on muttering those words to herself. Now, she was finally able to completely smiled to herself.

She arranged her steps and begun to walk towards her bed but stopped when the clock suddenly chimes. Upon hearing that, her face brightened.  *It’s morning!* She clapped her hands in a joyous and gleeful manner. Actually, the grandfather clock was not an ordinary clock. It was a magical one. Her brothers had personally casted a spell on the clock. Once it was morning, the clock would chimes three times. That’s how she knew whether it’s day or night cause you see, her room, had no windows.

*They should be here anytime soon!* She waited expectantly in front of the door. As if on cue, soft knocks could be heard on the other side of the door. "Princess? Oh, princess! We’re here! Wake up! Wake up!" No doubts. That was obviously the youngest knight, Sungjong. *Silly oppa* She chuckled. She held the door knob and slowly pulled it opened. Once the door was widely opened, she could clearly see Sungjong with 6 other guys trailing behind his back. "Come on in, oppas." She moved aside to let them come in.

Once they are inside, she slowly closed the door shut. It’s been a habit of hers to not opened the door so freely eventhough the knights were right by herside. But of course, it was not really her habits to be blamed. If there were people to be blamed, that would be her oppas, who are so over protective of her. They would always nagged at her if she carelessly left the door opened. Since she hated to worry them, she always kept in mind to always be so careful no matter where she were.   

Sungjong pouted upon entering her room. Seeing that, her face was furrowed with worried. " What’s wrong oppa? You always pouted whenever you’re in my room. Do you not like it here?" She crossed her arms sullenly. Now, it was her turn to pouted. "I hate you room, princess!" Sungjong stomped his feet and pretended to sob.  She chuckled at his childish remarks. "And why is that?" She looked at him in the eye. Sungjong gave her an isn’t-it-obvious-look. "Don’t you see, princess? There’s not even a single window here, in your room! The walls are all under the Kings’ spell as well. Now, not even your clairvoyance works!"  He grabbed her hands and gave it a squeezed. "Aren’t you….lonely, princess?" Her eyes softened. *He was worried about me* "I am not, oppa." She gave him a reassuring smile. 

"Now, now, Sungjong. You know fully well why the Kings did all of these." Hoya patted his head.

"Yeah! You shouldn’t be complaining, kiddo! I’m sure that the princess is upset as well. But then again, there’s nothing we can do to help. I am sorry, princess." Sungyeol frowned.

She looked at Sungyeol and shook her head with a smile. "It is not and is never your fault, oppa. Of  course, it’s not you guys fault too." She looked at each of the Infinite members. "I have never want to be a burden to any of you, but that’s not the only reason why I didn’t complain. I don’t want you to always worry about me. Not you guys, not oppas. But, my actions are limited. I can’t always help you. So, the least I can do is to take care of myself, right?" She beamed.

*Such an angel.* They all thought.

"That’s not really true, isn’t it?" Myungsoo spoke. He lowered his head to her eyes level and look at her straight in the eyes. "You have and will always have us. Taking care of you, protecting you are our duties. You will always be our top priority. You don’t have to worry your pretty little mind about every single thing. We are here, aren’t we?" He gave her his smile, which was very rare.

"That’s right, princess. We will be there for you anytime. After all, we are your one and only knights!" Woohyun cooed. 

"Infinite got your back!" Dongwoo pumped his fist in the air.

"Heck yeah!" They all chorused.

"See, Princess? You are not alone." Sunggyu, being the brother-like leader he is patted her head.

She couldn’t help but to smile at their effort. Tears threatened to fall, but she quickly blinked her eyes to clear it away. "I can’t thank you enough. You guys are the reason why I thank the sky everyday. Really, thank you."
