Why am I so obsessed with Characters?

Anyways.
Lately, I've been obsessed with characters.
Probably because that's all my teacher seems to ever talk about.
all the notes .__.
Anyways.
I want to talk just a little bit more about characters and characterization.
When creating a character, you need to have a lot in mind.
What is their name?
Age?
Are they the main character?
Anatgonist or Protagonist?
i totally butchered the spelling of both those words.
Hair colour?
Eye colour?
Do they have a back story?
So.
My LA teacher gave us these character creation worksheets
