THE
PLOT
what the
w-where did that come from?
Is it a ghost?
but wait. w-what is it saying?
"Conflict drives the plot" eh?
Hmm. May as well talk about it, right?
Aha I'm so funny.
So yeah, that conflict drives the plot thing is sort of an inside joke with my english class...
Nonetheless. Conflict does drive the plot.
No conflict?
No plot.
No plot?
You've got a pretty y story my friend.
So yes. When writing a story you have to have a plot in mind blah blah blah I already wrote this.
When coming up with a plot for your new fanfiction or any story, you need need neeeeeeeeed to have conflict involved in your plot, or else you have nothing to write about!
Who here is familiar with a plot diagram?
No one?
/sighs/
just a moment.
/sounds of paper moving and rustling/
Aha! Here it is! A plot diagram!
now the one I learned about in school is slightly different, but this will do.
Inciting moment; That kind of moment where everything starts up.
Exposition; This is where the setting and such is described. Who is who, where is this story taking place, etc.
Rising action; These would be the events that happen leading up to the .
; The turning point, that big BOOM moment in the story where the most important thing happens.
Falling action; the events after the that will evenutally take us to the resolution.
Resolution; The final point, where everything is solved and made happy. Unless it's a cliff hanger I guess.
So when writing your story, sort of keep this diagram in mind.
What event is this? How does it tie in? Will it help me get to the of my story?
-oh, small note. I know a lot of my chapters are kind of all over the place, so I'm going to be re arranging them to make more sense.
Thanks to all of my wonderful subbies. /hugs you all/
