His chest heaved up and down, he crouched down, panting. The chilly winter air bit against his chest. The thin jacket did nothing but weighed him down. His breath turned into smokey vapors, disappearing into the black moonless sky.

The dark gray clouds loomed over the moon, casting darkness down upon him. His lips were bleeding, but that's not the worst of his pain. He tried to get up, but his legs gave out. He collasped onto the solid ground, nails scarping against the wall behind him with futile results. He ended up lying there, his arm bent in an awkward position.

Heavy footsteps resounded into the dark alley way. Black combat boots soon came into his view.

His master had come to take him back...and there's no where he can hide, nor run. It's over...this game they've been playing.

It's finally over. He smiled a bit sarcastically, but immediately shut his eyes when he heard the crack of a whip.

"Bad pets need to be punished."
