BEATING HEARTS

The time seemed to slow down. Jae Hwa was waiting impatiently for the last class to end. She just wanted to go home and sleep in hope for the beating heart to stop beating so fast. Her heart was beating loudly when she recalled the scene at the rooftop. She shaked her head and burried her head in her folded arms. Hye Ju glanced at Jae Hwa who was pretended to be asleep. She sighed. The bell rang and Jae Hwa jolted up in shocked. Hye Ju chuckled. Jae Hwa glared at her before picked her things up.

"Finally~ Time to go home~" Jae Hwa sang. Hye Ju raised an eyebrow to her.

"You're weird today." She said. Jae Hwa turned to her with a pout.

"I know. My heart was beating really fast today. What happen to me?" She sighed. Hye Ju stared at her.

"Everything that happen must've a reason. Mind to tell me?" She smiled. Then, Jae Hwa told her about the scene at the rooftop. Hye Ju laughed before answered.

"It's love, my friend. LOVE~" She phrased the 'Love' word. Jae Hwa blushed.

"No. It can't be. No! I don't want to believe it!" She yelled as she covered her ears with her hands.

Hye Ju laughed and continued to until they reached the gate. They spotted Luhan who was currently leaned on his motorcycle. He turned his head and saw Jae Hwa and Hye Ju.

"Hey, short girl! Long time no see." He said as he waved at Hye Ju. Hye Ju frowned.

"Yah! I have a name and I'm not short!" She yelled. Luhan laughed and went to stand in front of her. Her height was just on his chest.

"Still short." He laughed.

"I've grown 10 cm taller!" She glared at Luhan. He ruffled her hair before grabbed Jae Hwa's wrist and dragged her to his motorcycle.

"Yah! Come back here!" She shouted. Luhan quickly helped Jae Hwa wore his helmet and he wear his. He started the engine and waved at her before dissapeared from her sight.

"Aish. That guy. Seriously get on my nerve." She said as she walked away while fixed her hair.

"I'm home." Jae Hwa said as she entered the house. It was very quiet.

"Where's everyone?" She asked Luhan who was currently plopped himself on the couch. She just noticed that he wear his going-out clothes.

"Go take a bath and come here back quickly with a nice outfit." He said as lied on the couch with eyes closed.

"Why?" She asked. Luhan didn't answer her so she just did what he said.

When she come down, Luhan opened one eyes and saw she was wearing a short jeans and a loose shirt. He smiled at how cute her sister was.

"Let's go." He said. Jae Hwa was confused and raised an eyebrow towards his brother.

"Where are we going?" She asked.

"Wear this." He throws her a pair of pink converse shoes. She looked at it and just wear it.

They were at a beach where there's many people there. Jae Hwa looked questionly at her brother who just smiled down at her. He dragged her to a hotel and went to a room. When they entered the room, she looked at him once again.

"We're gonna have four days three night trips at here~" He announced to her.

"Only two of us?" She asked. Luhan shaked her head.

"Others maybe at the beach." He said.

"But I had school to attend and-"

"Just enjoy it." He kissed her forehead and went out of the room. Jae Hwa sighed and decided to find her family at the beach.

She was walking slowly around the beach, enjoying the warm air. As she closed her eyes while walked, she bumped into someone. She bowed as she apologize.

"Jae Hwa?" She recognised this voice. She lifted her head up and met his eyes. Their heart skipped a beat again.

"Err.. Hi?" She said as she waved awkwardly. He smiled and waved back.

"Hi." He said.

"So, what are you doing here?" She asked after a long silence.

"My mother just dragged me here for a four days three nights trip with her friends. How about you?" He started to walk and Jae Hwa followed him.

"My brother just dragged me here with the same trips of yours." She sighed.

"Then, we can have fun together while we're here, right?" He smiled a dazzling smiled. Her heart began to beat in a fast pace. She blushed and nodded slowly. They had a small chat with each other as they walked.

*Hye Ju was right. I think I'm in love with him." She thought.
