Hello!

Muzikmaster here with a new oneshot starring You and Chunji from Teen Top!

This oneshot was inspired by the song, "Last Carnival" by Norihiro Tsuru.

The song was just too amazing, and I decided I should write a fanfiction based on it.

And just because this is a 'sad' story, please don't think that it will have a sad ending! ^^

Without further ado, let's get on with forewords. Enjoy!

Character Profile:

You (The Reader): You are an amazing pianist that loves music and your boyfriend, Chunji very much. Your lifelong wish had always been to perform on stage alongside your lover and play a duet together. Your dreams are nearly crushed though, when the doctor tells you that you are dying. Will life become your last carnival, or will Heaven become your endless paradise?

Chunji (Your 'lover'): Chunji is your kind, caring, and talented boyfriend that will do anything for you. Even die. His wish was to perform with you as well, so he decided to create a song entitled "Last Carnival". Will he give you up to Heaven, or will he never let you go?

Short Prologue:

Chunji's P.O.V:

Last Carnival.

Last -  being the only remaining; belonging to the final stage (as of life); a conclusion.

Carnival - an instance of merrymaking, feasting, or masquerading.

According to Merriam-Webster, that is.

In my words, its "the final stage, or the lasting of pure happiness."

I remembered why I chose that name. It was because the word 'last' could have multiple meanings.

It could be the final conclusion of something, or it could mean 'continuing in time and living on'.

It was only two little words, however, it didn't just mean _______-ah's final happy event.

It meant so much more.

I wanted _______ to see that if God could let me die instead of her, I would.

I wanted her to believe that I would do anything for her bright smile, hearty laugh, and her heart-stopping gaze.

Yes, I would do anything for her happiness.

But was I too late?

A couple words from her made me fall in love all over again.

"No, Chunji Oppa. You're not too late. In fact, you're right on time."

Sneak Preview:

"You're dying."

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."

"This is my gift to you."

"I will marry you. No matter what. Death can't break us apart."

"I’ll be waiting for eternity if I have to, Chunji Oppa. I love you, and I always will."

"I guess we're really Romeo and Juliet after all, huh?"

"I'll be there, together with you, every step of the way."

We performed together, without hesitation. With confidence. 

Our two instruments, our duet, would always harmonize in unity, no matter how much the sands of time passed. 

For this would forever be our last carnival.
