SERIN’S POV

I came back to Korea from Paris. It was such a nice place. After our graduation in high School, I haven’t heard anything about him, I have no idea how he is right now. Onew is the first guy I loved but Yejin stole him from me. It was a nightmare for my heart and the fact that he had chosen her hurts the most.

I went to check on my luggage, finally, the scent of Korea. Here is where I truly belong. I called my relatives here and asked about Onew, Yes my feelings never changed for him. Years passed but I still not gotten over him. I had boyfriends though, but it never lasted that long. My heart only belongs to him. I can’t wait to see him. I heard he’s now a medical trainee at a known medical hospital. As expected from him, he’s skilled and talented

I tried to call the number that was saved on my phone. I’m not sure about this but I know I should try. I wish this is still his number. I dialed it….

After seconds

“Yeoboseyo?” it’s him, he hasn’t changed his number

“Onew oppa”

“Excuse me who is this?”

“its me Se Rin”

“oh! Long time no talk”

“are you free today? I just came from Paris, Let’s have lunch together”

“Oh! I’m having lunch at home”

“Can I come?”

“Sure. Yejin is waiting for us”

“Yejin?”

“Oh I see” that statement broke my heart. He’s married and the fact that he’s married to Yejin pisses me the most. I really hate that girl.

“It’s okay, I’ll just have some lunch with my friend”

“Oh okay then. Hope we can see each other”

Should I grab the chance?

“Tomorrow during lunch time, I have something to tell you”

“Is it that important? Cause I’ll be busy tomorrow”

“Yes it is but next week is fine, since you’re a medical trainee, I know you can help me”

“Okay then next week”

I don’t know why I should even do this. He’s married, but I just can’t get over him. I want his full attention. I want his love. I don’t care about him having a wife. I just want him all of him. It’s not wrong to love someone this much right? I should stand up for the lie I’ll tell him .

A week after…

We met up on a café shop…I went there about ten minutes late. He was sitting, sipping on his coffee calmly. He’s handsome as ever. Who wouldn’t fall for his charms?

“Long time no see oppa”

“Ne, you’ve grown so much. You look so mature now”

“I’ve heard you’re married so I shouldn’t call you oppa right?”

“Ne, I think you shouldn’t”

“Okay Onew-ssi”

We laughed at the awkwardness that we both felt. I’m not used to call him in a formal way

“By the way, what do you want me to help you with?”

“Uhhmmm” I should act naturally

“I-I-I have an incurable disease”

“What?”

“My doctor said it’s incurable and that I have less years to live”

“Are you sure? Cause you look so fine”

“I may look like this but I’m dying deep inside”
