1) New School; First Nosebleed.

Of Window, Sunshine, and Reflection

The sun rose up lazily from the bright east, shining through the maroon red curtains drawn over a big window. The boy in brunette grunted in annoyance of sun’s appearance before jumping off the bed. The hot shower quickly washed his milky skin, going through the muscles that were perfectly built on his arms and abdomen. Instead of being masculine, they were more to feminine muscles. But in fact, fit his face perfectly. With a towel hanging dangerously low on his hip, he grabbed a hairdryer.

As he combed his hair, he dressed in his new uniform and grabbed his bag to run down the stairs. He didn’t forget to check himself out the mirror in his living room to make sure everything’s set. Living alone isn’t that bad if you’re good at chores. So the boy didn’t feel that bothered. After breakfast, he checked the whole house; make sure everything’s turned off except the garden lights before dashing off to his new school.

Being a new student in the middle of school year was one of his problems. He needs to quickly find someone—or more—that could help him more than he expected them to. He didn’t want to talk about his sudden move in the middle of semester, though. It’s just too painful for him. For now, the first mission is; finding a friend. But it might be hard for him since he’s younger than most of his friends. Blame his uncle to have him skipped a year ahead.

Cough. One more problem, he’s a shy one to interact first.

“My name’s Oh Sehun. Hope we can get along well soon.” The brunette bowed few times nervously. He looked around, gulping the lump in his throat as the whole class stared at him with various expressions.

“Okay, Mr. Oh,” The teacher swept his eyes to the class. “You go sit over there.” The teacher mentioned an empty seat at the back of the class. Not a really good seat, but he hoped that the person who sat beside him is friendly and helpful. He’s still off with some things for school so he believes he’ll be a big burden to his seatmate. That’s why he pleads to God to give him a nice one.

Sehun walked to the desk as normal as he could. His palms were sweating and he kept on wiping them on his pants. The guy who’s sitting on the chair beside him stayed silent just like he didn’t notice the younger’s existence; not even bothering to turn and see the new student. His strong figure, broad shoulder, sharp eyes, and—well, y lips—blown Sehun’s mind away for few seconds, but he quickly shook his head and bow before sitting beside the guy. “O-…Oh Sehun.” He said before sitting down, but the boy didn’t turn. He put his bag under the table as he always did before in his previous school, taking out the books for the upcoming subjects and put them on the table. He glanced to the boy who’s still looking outside the window. Sehun moved his eyes to see the outside and well, their seats have a nice view.

Sehun’s scared to talk first so he decided to wait until the older noticed him. But when will it happen? He guessed that it won't happen soon in this early week. So the Goddess of fortune does really hate him, huh.

Sehun sighed before paying attention to the teacher in front of the class.

Few days passed and Sehun hasn’t talked even a word to the guy next to his seat. He had tried few times but the words stuck by his tongue. He almost said a thing but then the guy stood up and left the class which reminds Sehun that the class is over. He knew his name, though. It’s Tao, for short. Huang Zi Tao, for long. He’s a Chinese who's studying abroad to Korea and currently living alone—as what he heard. He got a lot of fans here and outside the school—since this is a guy school—but he ignored all of them. He’s cold and no one ever heard him talk—maybe some lucky es heard him mumbled or muttering. But that doesn't count. Some people said that he only talks to Luhan, another Chinese guy who's a grade higher than him--a sunbae, yes. Some even said that they're dating! Sehun frowned to himself. He got too much information, yes, but he didn’t mind getting more. He’s not a type to gossip, but hell, every time he heard the word ‘Tao’, his ears automatically raised up, just like a dog hearing its master calling.

It was a fine one day; the math teacher was kindly in a bad mood so no one’s making trouble. The class came into silence as he started to teach which is kind of weird because some of the students are really something. You know, them who can’t really stop talking. Tao was staring outside the window just like the first time Sehun saw him. He’s always staring outside the window out from their class which placed on the third floor with his chin rested to one of his palm like he's bored.

And Sehun’s always staring at him.

“Mr. Huang!” the teacher shouted, making the Chinese turned with such a charismatic way that can make every fangirls go crazy—maybe including the brunette boy. Sehun jumped in shock and quickly messing up with his text book to create and alibi. Tao seemed to don’t notice the younger and raised an eyebrow to the teacher.

“Get number three done.” The teacher said. Sehun glanced at the task the teacher gave. What the fish is this number saying about? Is it some kind of college level? This is a high school, right? What a teacher. He even heard some students gasped. Sehun wasn’t paying attention to the teacher, but this thing is not what he just taught.

Tao calmly get up from his seat to get number three done on the whiteboard. In about one and half minute, he put the marker back to teacher’s table and walked to his seat. The students' jaw dropped just as the teacher and Sehun. He’s too much of a comic book-boy-like who’s a calm and cool student but unexpectedly smart. But then he reminded himself that this is a real life, not a comic. He needs to tidy up his books at home, he noted.

As Tao sat back down, he looked away outside the window again. The teacher coughed in embarrassment and asked all of the students to do some exercises from the book, but Tao didn’t seem to really care about it. When Sehun glanced at the elder’s textbook, he’s done with all of it. He’s about to do the exercise when he realized he doesn’t have any math books in his bag. He tried to remember where he had put it the night before only to remember that he hasn’t got the book yet. There’s no other choice except he prefers a detention after school, so he inhaled a deep breath before clearing his throat.

“U-urm, I haven’t g-got my book yet. C-can I t-take a look at your b-book?” he stuttered. Few seconds feels like a year and it passed in silence. He’s seriously an idiot, Tao wouldn’t respond to him and he should've asked Chanyeol instead, the guy whom he met two days ago and sat in front of him. He closed his eyes in fear before focusing back to his pencil as he distracted his mind from anything near bad impression of him on Tao.

Suddenly, Sehun noticed a movement from the corner of his eyes. Tao moved his free hand and pushed his book to Sehun; without turning to him. Sehun widened his eyes and smile; bowing to hide a slight of pink on his cheeks before muttering shyly, “thanks…”

Tao’s not paying any attention to the teacher again and Sehun pays more of his attention on staring at Tao since the older won’t realize his action. The students were asked to do the physics exercise for a test next Wednesday but he couldn’t resist the urge to stare at the Chinese. So he left his work a bit to rest his brain.

“Sehun, you're done? Can you please do me number five?”

The brunette jolted up when the teacher called his name. He nodded before taking a look at his textbook. He’s stuck at number four and he cursed inside; he shouldn’t have stared at Tao for that long. In state of panic, Tao pushed his textbook that got answers on it already to Sehun. The younger, again, widened his eyes and couldn’t help but smile widely at the act Tao’s doing to him. He took the textbook, bowing slightly from his neck few times, and walked to the whiteboard. While walking, he stared at Tao's textbook. His writing was neat and tidy. He always thought his writing is neat enough but seeing Tao’s, he smiled at it and unconsciously banged his head on the whiteboard. He didn't realize he's been walking without paying attention to his way. The students laughed and Sehun hide his blushing red face with Tao's book; clearly embarrassed. The teacher even laughed at him. He quickly finished number five before going back to his seat and put the text book back to Tao's table, mumbling lots of ‘thanks’. The older didn't even bother to look and kept his eyes on the window.

Tao was tidying his books on the locker. He grabbed his bag and slides it to his broad shoulders; letting the bag hanging on the right side. He closed the locker's door just to find a boy on his left. Tao backed a step because of the surprise the brunette's giving him; widening his eyes. Everyone would be giving the same reaction if there’s a sudden random boy, with that kind of—weird—smile.

Seeing Tao's reaction, Sehun couldn't help but to let out a giggle. Tao raised an eyebrow to him before turning to walk away. Sehun quickly called, "wait!"

Tao didn't answer, but he turned—charmingly—and stared at the younger; waiting for an answer. Sehun inhaled a deep breath, soothing his shirt, before managing to speak out.

"Thanks for the help before."

Tao nodded before walking away. Sehun stared at his classmate's back until the older disappeared into the crowd. He keeps on staring and suddenly a hand patted his shoulder.

"Hey, Sehun! Let's go home toge—“

Kai’s sentence stopped as the younger turned and blood was trickling down his nostrils. "Y-you're bleeding!"

"Eh?"

Sehun felt coldness around his nose but he ignored it because he thought he's not having any runny nose and just a slight cold wind of autumn. But as Kai had told him that he’s bleeding, he brought his right hand and touched his nose just to see blood on his two fingers.

"GAH!"

So, how was it?

I didn't change a lot of things. Correcting some mistakes. Hehe. The next chapter won't be much a different from the previous version but I suggested you to read it anyways, because I added lots of new scenes and ideas!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story. I can't wait to post the next update. Gotta work on that faster~
