4 a.m.

Half-awake, half-confused, I blinked again to confirm the time.

4 a.m.

“It’s still too early,” I groaned to myself as I buried my face against my pillow.

“Already awake?” a low and groggy voice whispered behind my ear. I nodded. I guess he’s awake as well.

I almost jolted when I felt an arm slither around my waist. He let out a soft chuckle as he pulled me against him – my back making contact to his toned chest.

We both didn’t move nor said anything in that position. The only sound I could hear was his calm breathing against my ear.

Underneath the covers, I glided my hand south to meet his. He was gently caressing my stomach until my fingers laced into his.

What happened next became a blur to me. I can’t remember if we both drifted off to sleep or did something else. However, that night when we laid together in each other’s arms, I wished for that we could stay like that forever.
