Chapter 28- Home

Project IZ*ONE III

“Took you girls long enough! We almost started the party without you!” Yunjin teases as the IZ*ONE members finally stepped out of the bus that had transported them back to campus.

“What’s all of this?” Eunbi replies in a surprised tone, seeing all the people who had gathered for their arrival. From their old allies like Gaeun, Goeun and ITZY, new ones from Fromis, IVE and Le Sserafim, to some newer faces that were likely members of Nayoung and Dahyun’s groups, this was probably the largest gathering of mutants the group has seen since the first day on campus. Even Jurina was standing on the side, watching from the shadows.

“We just wanted to prepare a little ‘heroes’ welcome’.” Gaeul says with a shrug. “We were on the ropes when all of a sudden, the androids just deactivated. Your handiwork, I assume?”

“Heh, you can all thank Sakura for that.” Yena says with a proud smile.

“Where is Sakura-unnie, actually?” Eunchae asks, not seeing her older team member.

At this, the sound of shuffling begins echoing from inside the bus until the Japanese girl gingerly steps out, arm linked with Chaeyeon’s.

There was some stunned silence from the crowd; Sakura expected as much given her new appearance. What she didn’t expect though was the loud applause and cheers erupting a few seconds later.

“See, you didn’t need to be afraid of anything.” Chaeyeon smiled as she whispered in Sakura’s ear.

“You all did your parts too by holding on to give us time. It couldn’t have been easy.” The Japanese girl replies shyly, trying to play down the praise, but it wasn’t going to happen. As the group made their way to the dorms to freshen up, they got many compliments and congratulatory pats on the back.

~~~~
About an hour later, everyone decided to gather in the campus’ auditorium for a big debriefing. When the campus principal, Lee Seunggi, stepped out on stage, Eunbi could immediately see the tiredness in his eyes. As much work as they did on the frontlines, she knew Seunggi was doing as much behind the scenes working with the government while also managing the campus.
“I want to start this off by thanking everyone for their help in the recent battle. I have just gotten word that the android attack was finally connected back to Kim Yong-bum, and all of his businesses are now going to be put under investigation.” Seunggi announces, much to the delight of the crowd. Though there was a sentiment within the IZ*ONE members that some government officials were just trying to wash their hands from their involvement in this whole mess, they were relieved that at the very least, KYB would finally be getting his comeuppance, although post-mortem.
“This was a team effort.” Seunggi continued. “The campus may have many capable agents, but it would be remiss for me to not acknowledge the special aid given to us by AKB, Fromis, I.O.I, ITZY, and TWICE. One of the easiest things to do in situations like these is to run and hide, but you all showed great bravery, jumping into the fray for the sake of mutants around the world.”
“There is still a lot more work to do, and with that, I have one more announcement to make. As much as I want to continue my role here, I believe the campus needs a new leader that can be here more often. I will still always be connected to here, but the upcoming months require me to be in contact with government parties more often. Just know that I will always be fighting for you all in my discussions with them.” These words surprise everyone. Seunggi’s last replacement, Ahn Joon-young, wasn’t exactly the nicest guy after all. Eunbi was now deep in thought, thinking that maybe trainer Bae Yoon-jung or Lee Hongki could be good successors. That’s when her eyes met Seunggi’s gaze, and she knew what his next words would be.
“I know my announcement may give you all some level of apprehension, but do not worry. I already have someone in mind who I know can lead you all into the future… Kwon Eunbi!”
The applause was almost deafening. There was no better choice than the person who had helped improve the campus ever since she stepped foot in it.
“Congratulations, unnie! You’re the best!” Yujin and the others cheered.
“Heh, more paperwork is always fun, right?” Eunbi jokingly says while wiping a tear from her eye. She knew the responsibility of being the principal was going to be huge, but she wasn’t afraid. Eunbi had always fought for others, and the bigger the platform, the more people she could protect. This role was just made for her.
After the crowd settled down, Seunggi made a couple more announcements, the one getting the biggest reaction being that there would be a huge buffet dinner in the cafeteria after the debriefing.
“Let’s all enjoy the moment of victory for today, but tomorrow, the work continues. Change doesn’t happen if we think the job is done after one win.” Seunggi concludes, and with that, everyone begins heading to the party.
~~~~

“So, campus principal, that has a nice ring to it.” Hyewon says with a chuckle.

“Yeah, I had a little chat with Seunggi-sunbae. He’ll give me a list of my roles tomorrow.” Eunbi replies, a hint of excitement in her voice. Most people shrunk at the prospect of bigger responsibility, but Eunbi was not one of those people.

“With all the new things I have to do though, it would be nice to have a little help.” Eunbi continues with a hinting tone.

“Hmm? And what is that supposed to mean?” Hyewon teases.

“You really wanna make this difficult?”

“No, I just want to hear you say it.”

“Fine, Kang Hyewon, I graciously ask for your assistance as my vice principal.” Eunbi finally says, both girls now laughing.

“Of course. Someone’s gotta keep your head on your shoulders.” Hyewon replies, giving her girlfriend a kiss on the cheek before a new voice interjects.

“Are we… interrupting something?” Nayoung asks. Next to her was another woman who she didn’t recognize. She could tell though just from the aura that she was someone important.

“Oh, sorry about that. It’s nice to see you, Nayoung. Thanks for the help.” Eunbi laughs, cheeks a bit red now.

“We couldn’t just let you have all the fun.” Nayoung says before gesturing to the woman next to her. “This is Jihyo, by the way. She’s the principal for JYP’s school for mutants.”

“I’ve heard a lot about you.” The short-haired girl says, extending her hand to shake Eunbi’s. “I used to be the leader of my team too before being promoted. If you ever need help on how to manage an entire campus, give me a call.”

“A couple of my friends met one of yours recently actually. They really helped us back then, and I’m thankful for you jumping in to help our teams over here too.” Eunbi replies, recalling the reports Hayoung gave her of another mutant team helping them protect Myeong-dong.

“So I’ve heard. Some of them are actually talking to them right now. I think they’re getting along well.” Jihyo says, pointing her chin in the direction of Nako and Hitomi talking animatedly to a couple Japanese girls.

“Hopefully we can have more collaboration in the future then.” Eunbi says with a smile before they begin talking about other things.

~~~~
‘“How’re you feeling?” Chaeyeon asks Sakura who she noticed was sitting a bit stiffly.
“Still getting used to my new body. I need to analyze my new capabilities and maintenance requirements now too.” The tech-girl replies, twiddling with her thumbs before Chaeyeon puts her hand on them.
“Hey, it’s going to be a process, and I’ll be with you every step of the way. The others will be too. I’m excited to figure out the new things you can do as well. Maybe you can fire energy blasts out of your hands now!” She says which gets a chuckle out of Sakura.
“I guess we’ll find out then. Like Eunbi-unnie said, there’s still a lot more work to do.”
“Ugh, enough about work for a second.” Chaeyeon chides. “How about your stream? I’m sure your viewers missed you.”
“Actually, one of the TWICE members is a V-tuber. Her name’s Mina, and she said we should collab soon.” Sakura says, the topic-switch reigniting her bubbly energy. Chaeyeon never really understood the gaming space, but she could listen to her girlfriend talk about it all day.
“Hey, Chaeyeon! Your sister’s looking for you!” Yena suddenly calls from across the room.
“In a minute!” She replies. “You gonna be fine on your own for a bit?”
“Of course, I’m not a baby, you know.” Sakura chuckles.
“Alright, I’ll be back soon.”
For a couple seconds, Sakura surveyed the cafeteria, looking at all the people interacting with each other. This was the environment she hoped would not always be confined to a protected space like this.
“What’s on your mind, Miyawaki?” A familiar voice asks. When Sakura turned though no one was there.
“You don’t need to hide. I heard you came by to help my friends too. Thanks for that.” Sakura simply says to thin air before Matsui Jurina steps out of her shadow with her arms crossed.
“Just don’t tell Nako too much about it. She’ll think I’ve gone soft.” Jurina replies while giving Sakura a once-over.
“Digging the new look?” Sakura asks sarcastically.
“Don’t flatter yourself. I’m just glad you didn’t hold back. Takes a lot of guts to do what you did. I don’t think the old you would’ve done it.” The older girl says.
“You’re right. I guess my friends brought the best out of me.”
“Heh, if that was supposed to be a slight at me, I apologize. Maybe I was a bit too hard on you.” Jurina says with a dry smile before changing topics.
“The AKB girls and I are heading back tomorrow. Yabuki and Honda might follow soon after. If you ever think about wanting to come back too, give me a call. We could use someone like you to help rebuild the system in a better way.”
“I might visit from time to time, but I do still have a team here too. I’m with Le Sserafim.” Sakura replies after some thought. The prospect of coming back home after a while sounded tempting, but she’d also laid down roots here.
“I know. I’m surprised AKB never caught wind of your friend, Nakamura Kazuha. In any case, the offer’s there if you want it. I’ll see you around.” Jurina says before slipping back into the darkness.
“Kkura, I’m back! I also brought some drinks!” Chaeyeon says, but her smile drops slightly when she sees Sakura’s expression. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, just a little chat with the shadows.” The Japanese girl says cryptically. “I’m just happy you’re here again.”
“I wasn’t even gone for that long, and you already missed me?” Chaeyeon laughs before giving Sakura a big hug.
“So, how’s your sister?”
~~~~

“What’s gotten you looking all starstruck?” Hitomi asks after she and Nako got back to their room. The short girl had been acting a bit weird since the party.

“N-nothing! I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Nako replies before rushing towards her luggage bag and frantically tossing her belongings out.

“Yah! What’re you looking for?” Hitomi wonders.

“No, no, no… oh my god, I really left it back home!” Nako ends up yelling in frustration.

“Leave what at home? C’mon, Nako. Talk to me.”

“MY ALBUMS! I left my albums back in Japan!” The short girl finally says which doesn’t exactly help clear Hitomi’s confusion.

“Wait, you mean you didn’t recognize them???” Nako asks when she sees her girlfriend still not getting it. “The JYP group, TWICE. That’s the same name of the KPOP group I follow, and it just so happens that two of their members are also mutants!”

“Wait, really???” Hitomi remembered watching a couple music videos, but never really dug too deep into it. She did think that one of those TWICE members they talked to at the party looked familiar though.

“Yes! Im Nayeon and Hirai Momo! They’re a singing-dancing duo that is really really popular. I can’t believe we were talking to Momo earlier… I was barely keeping it together. Why did I have to leave my albums back home?” Nako says exasperatedly.

“Well… you were the one questioning me for the amount of luggage I brought.” Hitomi teases. “It’s okay though! We can probably buy a new album sometime and have them sign it. We know people who know them.”

“Fine… I’m just in such disbelief. That is so crazy, I didn’t even know they were mutants. You know how Momo’s a great dancer, right? She said her power was speed, and thinking about it now, Chaeyeon and Chaeryeong also have speed related powers. Maybe the extra agility helps.” Nako rambles which gets Hitomi to chuckle.

“Alright, Nako, slow down. We need to discuss something else now first.” Hitomi then says, remembering the conversation she had with some of the AKB girls earlier.

“Is this about when we’re going to come back?” Nako asks to which the peach-cheeked girl nods.

“I hate to ruin the fun for you right now, but there’s still some loose ends we have to tie up back home. They’ve heard reports of some earlier versions of the androids being sold on the black market.” She says.

“No problem, Tomi. We need to help renovate the house anyway.” Nako says before starting to clean up the mess she made.

“You sure? I can go ahead, and you can catch up if you want.”

“Tsk, we’re in this together, right? Trust me, it’s fine. Besides, Shige said we didn’t have to go with them tomorrow anyway. That means we have a few extra days to actually have some fun.” The short girl smiles, and Hitomi felt silly for suggesting to fly home separately in the first place. She didn’t want to go anywhere without her partner in crime.

“Let’s go to Lotte World tomorrow then. I know you’ve always wanted to go.” Hitomi says.

“Really? Awesome! I cannot wait!” Nako says, running up to Hitomi giving her a big hug.

“Just make sure not to break the punching machines like you did at the arcades.” The younger girl teases.

~~~~
“Do you ever think that we're alone out here in the universe, Yuj?” Wonyoung asks suddenly while she and Yujin are out on a nighttime walk. The party was fun, but out of nowhere, the bunny had suggested getting some fresh air, and Yujin was never going to turn down alone time with her.
“What kind of question is that, Wonyo?” Yujin laughs at the silliness of the question, but when she turns, she sees that her girlfriend was not just messing around.
“I mean, we’ve already faced clones and androids. What’s so far-fetched about aliens? I swear a couple months ago, Nako and I were on a mint-choco run and we saw a light flashing in the sky before disappearing.” The bunny explains.
“Are you sure it wasn’t the mint-choco that made you hallucinate?” Yujin teases again.
“Yah, unnie, I’m serious!” Wonyoung whines, and Yujin couldn’t help but smile from the cuteness.
“Alright, let’s say there are really aliens. What would be so scary about them? You can literally move things with your mind.” Yujin says.
“You do have a point. I was just curious, you know? I just keep thinking of what the next bad guy we’re going to face is going to be like.” Wonyoung replies.
“Heh, we could be fighting zombies for all I care. As long as you’re by my side, I don’t care who our opponent is.” Yujin says confidently, earning a playful smack from her girlfriend.
“Yah, don’t say that! What if it does happen? I would not want to have to kill a zombie you.” The bunny says.
“Aish, and who said I would be the first to turn. Have you not been keeping count? I’m pretty sure I’ve saved you more times than you’ve saved me.” Yujin jokes.
“Uh, hello? Jirisan ring any bells? Don’t forget every time you jump off a building and I have to break your fall.” Wonyoung says.
“Yah, that’s not fair! That isn’t saving me, that’s a routine maneuver. Also, the mechanic place? The Seoyoung clone back in Busan? The time we jumped out of the plane over the ocean?” Yujin barks back.
The couple continued arguing over the past few years of memories together, but after a couple minutes, the duo just started laughing over the hilarity of it all. Yujin tried to playfully push Wonyoung into one of the ponds along the path, but the younger girl telekinetically pulled her along into the water. As the two now sat in an underwater bubble Yujin had created, they couldn’t help but smile at each other.
“I love you, Ahn Yujin.” The bunny says.
“I love you too, Jang Wonyoung.” The puppy replies before leaning closer and kissing her.
~~~~

A few days later…

“Oh, Minjoo! It’s so nice to see you again! Back for some training?” Sana greets when she sees the familiar woman enter the shop. During the party, the two had talked about the prospect of getting more help in improving the younger girl’s invisibility.

“Yes, I learned some new things during the missions recently, and just wanted some more advice on how to stabilize myself more.” Minjoo replies. “Where’s Dahyun-unnie, by the way? It isn’t closing time yet.”

“Ah, well, you aren’t the only one who came here to train actually.” Sana says before leading Minjoo to the garden behind the shop where she saw Chaewon and some of her clones meditating with Dahyun.

“Dubu!!! We have another guest!” The Japanese woman calls which gets both girls’ attention.

“Min? I didn’t expect you to be here.” Chaewon says in a tone as if she were embarrassed at being seen.

“I could say the same for you. Dahyun-unnie, is it okay if we have some alone time?” Minjoo asks.

“Sure, Sana and I will get some tea. Make yourselves at home!” The older girl says before fusing her clones back together and pulling Sana into the kitchen.

“Those two are so cute. They really share the same brain cells.” Minjoo had heard Sana say as they walked away.

“So, keeping your skills sharp?” Minjoo asks Chaewon when they are gone.

“Yeah, even if I’ve rebonded with Michelle, I still wanted to work on keeping one mind with all my clones. Dahyun-unnie said meditation has always done wonders for her, so I wanted to give it a try.” Chaewon replies before asking a question of her own. “What about you though? The mission is over, and the big threat is gone. I would’ve thought you’d want to focus on acting again.”

“Of course. I’m doing some script reading these days for another project. That doesn’t mean I want to never use my powers. Who knows when another big villain shows up?” Minjoo says.

“You don’t have to force yourself to fight if you don’t want to, Min. We have so many more allies now that I think you can afford to take a break.”

“That’s what I used to think too. After these past few weeks though, I realized that I will always have a responsibility to help others. I can’t just hide away and only show up when it’s important. I need to stay ready too.” Minjoo’s words warmed Chaewon’s heart. Minjoo definitely still had shy tendencies, but she was glad how much her girlfriend had grown over the past few years.

“I’m so proud of you, Minjoo.” Chaewon says as she gives the younger girl a hug.

“You wanted to know what my anchor to stay focused was, right?” Minjoo suddenly says, reminding Chaewon of how she almost blew their cover at the KYB building which suddenly felt like years ago.

“You were right, to an extent. I did focus on you… a lot. Overall, though, my anchor has always been the twelve of us- IZ*ONE. You girls will always be my family, and I will always want to do my role to keep us all safe. Thinking about the prospect of losing any of you was what motivated my focus to sharpen.” Minjoo says.

“Wow… you have the heart of an angel, you know that? Kim Minjoo Angel.” Chaewon replies.

“Yah, don’t say it like that. You’re embarrassing me.” Minjoo whines with reddening cheeks which only prods Chaewon to more.

“Minjoo Angel, Minjoo Angel, Minjoo Angel~” She says in a singsong voice.

“Looks like we missed the fun.” Dahyun suddenly interjects with a laugh. Next to her, Sana was holding a pot of tea and some cups for the four of them.

“Ah, it’s nothing, unnie. Don’t worry about it.” Chaewon says with a smile.

“Well, we can start training after tea, then. Enjoy!” Sana cheers.

Chaewon shares one more look with Minjoo, sending a silent message that she knows her partner will get.

I love you too. She sees Minjoo mouth back, and with that, the duo takes a seat with the two TWICE members and begin chatting away.

~~~~
“Don’t you ever get tired of staring daggers into everyone? You’ll scare my fans!” Yuri teases as the two are driving back to their apartment. Yuri had just had a fansigning event to make up for the couple weeks they’d missed from the whole KYB debacle, and it was funny how things hadn’t seemed to change.
“Hmph, how would you feel if I was getting that look from that many people?” Yena complains.
“Yah, it doesn’t matter how many people look at me like that because the only one I give that look back to is you, silly.”
“Whew, my charm and wittiness are rubbing off on you.” Is all Yena says back.
“I try to be sweet, and that’s all the reaction I get? Tsk. I wouldn’t be writing my own lyrics if I had to use your brain.” Yuri jokes, and even if it was meant as a dig, Yena couldn’t help but smile.
“I actually wanted to show you something today. Mind if we take a detour?” The duck asks suddenly.
“Hmm? Sure. Not sure how many places are still open this late at night though.” Yuri replies.
“Trust me. I know what I’m doing. Just close your eyes until we get there.”
After about twenty minutes of driving with Yuri pestering the whole way on where they were going, Yena stops the car and heads around to open Yuri’s door.
“Just a few more steps and… we’re here!” Yena says.
“Namsan Tower?” Yuri asks, seeing a tall dark structure in front of them. “Uh, it’s closed. Are you sure you didn’t misread the opening hours?”
“Tsk, I told you to trust me, right? Watch this.” Yena stomps her foot on the ground, sending an electric current through, and once it reaches the tower, it lights up in ways that Yuri had never seen from it before. The whole tower pulsated in hues of orange and yellow for the whole city to see.
“Woah… this is beautiful.” Yuri marveled, but Yena wasn’t done.
“It’s not over yet! Let’s head up!” The duck says.
“Are you sure it’s allowed? We might get in trouble if anyone catches us.” Yuri replies.
“Don’t worry, I had a chat with the new police chief, and she said she’d give us two hours.” Yena says, referring to their friend, Saerom who had just been promoted.
For someone who had a lot of eyes following her all the time, the sudden alone time at a site that was usually pretty crowded was a really nice change of pace for Yuri. It had been a while since Yena had taken her on a date because of the recent events, so she made sure to go all out.
“You’re really the best girlfriend I could ask for.” Yuri says, hooking her arm around her partner as they walk around the top floor, the Seoul nightscape shining below them.
“I know. If the prettiest, most talented girl in the world is telling that to me, it must be true, right?” Yena replies, refusing to hold in her grin. They then decided to take a seat on a bench where Yena pulled out a picnic basket with all of Yuri’s favorite snacks out, which only made the popstar swoon even more.
The two ate in silence for a bit, enjoying each other’s company before Yena pulled one more trick out of her bag.
“What’s that?” Yuri asks after receiving a small box from the duck.
“Open it and find out.” Yena says, and when Yuri does open it, she finds a lock with two promise rings next to it.
“I know we’re too young to get married now, so I was thinking we could use these in the meantime.” Yena says in an uncharacteristic shy tone, scratching the back of her head nervously. In the end, there was nothing to worry about as Yuri put on the ring without a second thought.
“I love you so so much, Yena. You don’t understand how much you mean to me.” She says, throwing her arms around Yena and peppering her with kisses.
“Alright, alright, there’s still one more thing we need to do.” Yena says, holding out the lock. Yuri giggles excitedly and follows her up to where all the lovelocks were. With the amount that are placed every day, some are removed, and some fall off, so Yena wanted to make theirs last. As she locks theirs onto the metal grills, she uses her electricity to weld the lock together so that no one could ever remove it. Written on it in a rushed handwriting that probably only Yena could read was this:
YulYen, together forever, no matter what happens.
~~~~

“We did it, oppa. I wish you could be here to see it all…” Eunbi says as she places a bouquet of flowers onto a grave.

“He would’ve been so proud of you, Eunbi.” Hyewon says, giving Eunbi’s shoulder a supportive squeeze.

“I just wish I could’ve built a better world for him before he passed.” The older mutters, some tears falling from her eyes.

“I know it isn’t much solace, but Sohye is going to be behind bars for a while this time. Hwang and all the other accomplices too. Saerom said she’d personally make sure of that. We can’t change what they’ve done, but we can change what we do because of them.” Hyewon replies. She was never really used to being a warm person for others, but with Eunbi, that’s the person she needed to be, so that’s what she wanted to be.

“I’ve seen the news. Now that Seunggi-sunbae has more time on his hands, he’s managed to push harder for the new anti-discrimination laws. There are compromises that he had to make, but it’s a start.” Eunbi says, referring to a law that disallowed using a person’s mutant abilities to expel them from schools, but required parents to sign waivers for any mishaps.

“I agree. We can’t just keep hiding in the dark forever. Mutants should be allowed to integrate into society too. Speaking of which, your segment is going to go live soon. You sure you don’t want to see it?” Hyewon asks.

“And cringe at myself? No, thank you. The other girls will probably spam our group chat with the clips anyway.” Eunbi chuckles.

“You still love them though.”

“Of course, they’re family, after all.”

~~~~
“My name is Kwon Eunbi, the principal of PD Campus. I’m not a mutant, but a lot of my friends are, and I will always fight for them. Throughout history, discrimination has only created animosity and divides. The issue between humans and mutants is no different. Time and time again, I’ve seen my friends put their lives on the line for the greater good while some humans have used their wealth and power to put mutants and humans in danger. I don’t expect the public to jump to our side immediately, but it is my hope that our actions will always speak louder than our words. You can trust in my team as well as many others located around the country to have your well-being in mind. Mutants are not inherently evil, in the same way that no human is born evil. It is only with proper respect and kindness that we can foster an environment where we can all live peacefully.”
“Now, if you are a mutant watching this, I want you to know that you do not have to be afraid. There are many people that can and will support you. Mutant facilities around the country are currently being restructured to be more open and caring to you. These will not be prisons anymore but safe havens where you can stay until you believe you are ready to take your next step. In this regard, PD Campus will always work tirelessly to ensure the safety of mutants who come to our doorstep.”
“You will always have a home here.”
~~~~

Over the next few months, the IZ*ONE would go their separate ways. Yujin and Wonyoung finally went on vacation in the States to visit the younger girl’s family. Yuri won rookie of the year with her songs, Yena supporting her and even featuring on one of her albums along the way. Nako and Hitomi continued to work in Japan rebuilding the AKB system and chasing down android smugglers. Chaewon made her debut with Le Sserafim with Minjoo actually starring in the music video. Chaeyeon continued running her dance studio with Chaeryeong with an influx of new mutant students who wanted to learn while Sakura began rising to fame as one of the top video game live streamers with her quirky personality and unique robot-y look. Finally, Eunbi and Hyewon worked together to take care of PD Campus, taking in and training countless mutants.

Despite this, every once in a while, when trouble reared its ugly head, the twelve girls would meet up again to combat it. Their bond was unbreakable and only grew stronger by the day. IZ*ONE was the perfect storm of talents and personalities that etched their names into urban legend. Their story isn’t over though. If anything, it’s only just begun.

A/N: So, that's it guys, Project IZ*ONE has now concluded. I'd be lying if I said this wasn't an emotional moment for me. I've been writing this series for almost four years, and it was honestly one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done. I'm not the perfect writer, far from it, but I gave my all into writing this story. It was really really fun. I honestly never thought I could write this much. This story started with the idea that there weren't many people writing IZ*ONE X Superhero fics, so i thought 'why not me then?'. This project that started because of my interest only continued because of the love it received from others.

I can't thank all of the readers who read this series enough for how you pushed me to keep improving and writing. I want to give a special shoutout to wattpad users local_gg_stan_here, blackswanpearl02, and  howshouldisayit as well as ao3 users penguincrossthestreet and kim_chaewon_is_a_cutie for all your comments while reading. Y'all really gave me a lot of motivation.

I also want to thank Minah_re, although she still hasn't gotten to this story yet, she's a great writer who i discuss fic things with. Hopefully y'all give her works a chance too.

I have a lot of thoughts on this story, and if you have any questions on thought process or plotpoints, I'm always happy to answer.

Now, for the next story, I've been hinting at it for a while, but it will indeed be a IZ*ONE x Percy Jackson book! To be clear, it's an iz*one story with them as demigods, with a little twist. I'm really excited for it.

That being said, i'm going to be on a work trip for the next three weeks so the first chapter release is still undecided. I'll make sure to post here though when it does come out.

Thank you all once again for reading and loving this story. This series is my little contribution to the WIZ*ONE community, and I hope I made people happy. Comments, Questions and Upvotes are always appreciated! #ProjectIZONE_AU on twt, and my cc is in my profile too.

Have a wonderful day, and I'll see y'all in the next book!
