"The couch is tad a bit uncomfortable." Minjeong hurriedly explains when the sound of the door opening registers in her ears. She was stretching her limbs out in places to get rid of the numbness that have accumulated overnight by sleeping on the little space that she was allowed to occupy.

Karina's eyes furrows at the sudden explanation. Minjeong stills under her steady gaze.

"Well I'm pretty sure that the floor is way softer." Karina answers taking her heels off letting Minjeong get a glimpse of her real height for the first time. She really is taller than her.

Minjeong chose to ignore the light jabs. Ever since last night she figured out that if she wants a roof under her head she must get used to how the older woman speaks. "Do you have spare blankets? It's a bit cold last night." A sudden rush of chills run through her body as if it remembers the cold atmosphere of the living room despite all of the windows being closed.

"Do you think it'll be warmer outside, Minjeong? Would you like to try it?" The other woman went silent and Karina took it as her cue to continue. "Yeah I thought so too."

Just before she could grab the knob of her room, another question rises into the air. "So do you live alone here?"

Karina couldn't help but snort. How stupid. "Apparently not anymore." 

"Parents? Boyfriend? Friend?"

A sigh filled the gap between her and Minjeong. With her back resting against the door frame, Karina squints her eyes at Minjeong. "Don't tell me that aside from letting you stay here in my place I also have to shoulder the cheque for your eye doctor?"

A light chuckle echoed in the air as amusement glints in Minjeong's eyes upon seeing a new expression painted in the older woman's face. 

"By the way I was wondering if you have any spare clothes that I could borrow?" Her hands motioning over her body to further prove her point. "I literally don't have anything on me besides the clothes on my back."

"Are you sure you don't want me to push you down the river? The water should be warmer by this time."

She expected the provoking reply but what she didn't saw coming was the door being shut close on her face. If there was any trace of a smile on her lips earlier well it have been long gone with the wind.

"Such an ." Minjeong couldn't help but mutter as she stood outside of what she guess was the taller woman's room since it was the only one present in the whole house.

"I heard you."

Great! Minjeong thought to herself. She wasn't being subtle to begin with. "God bless your ENT doctor then, Miss Please Keep Your Mouth Shut!" She shouted this time. Her fists clenched on her sides as if it will make her voice sound stronger than it already is.

She stood there waiting for a response when the door suddenly opens and a bunch of clothes was shoved onto her chest which she instinctively wrapped with her arms.

"It's Jimin for you."

"So Miss Please Keep Y—" One thing about Minjeong, she was persistent. That much Karina could tell albeit the short time of their meeting. But the devil could only take so much. Seeing that the younger woman was already taking her threats lightly and she was in dire need of sleep, bantering wasn't in the table right now. "One more word and I'm kicking you back to the streets. And make sure to take a shower too. I don't want your stink to stick to the walls of my house." She didn't need to hear anymore of her smart mouth so before Minjeong could formulate another response, the door was once again quickly shut completely blocking her out of Karina's view.

With fresh clothes hanging on her shoulders and having had a cool shower to wash off the dirt that have accumulated in her body Minjeong felt more prepared to face the older woman who now has a name. Jimin. 

She now just need one more thing. Food. The last meal that she have eaten was around breakfast yesterday so it was no surprise when the grumbling in her stomach wouldn't calm down no matter how many glasses of water she drinks. She needs solid food which made her end up facing Jimin's door once again despite the sour ending of their conversation earlier. 

"Hello?" Minjeong calls out towards the door after knocking three times to announce her presence. 

Silence.

She tries again.

"Uh miss?" With no such luck, Minjeong presses her right ear against the door to try and sense any trace of movement coming from the room. "Hello? Miss please keep your mouth shut? Are you there?" Again, silence. She doesn't snore then. 

Admitting defeat, Minjeong was about to push her body away from the door when it suddenly burst open leaving her to stumble forward. She would have bumped into Jimin but the latter was too quick to step back.

"Now what the do you want? And I told you to call me Jimin." To say that the devil was mad would be putting it too lightly. If it weren't for her importance to Lucifer, Karina would have taken the woman's soul straight to hell herself.

"Well I'm kind of hungry, Jimin and I haven't eaten anything since last night."

Food? Food! What a trivial thing to bother her sleep! 

"So I don't see how that's my problem Minjeong." 

"Aren't you hungry? It's almost two in the afternoon and—"

"And I was getting my sleep after a very very exhausting night before you knock the hell out of my door!" Blue flames started emitting around her body letting her frustration and exhaust
