Description
A WenRene AU in which Irene Bae is a successful self-made editor-in-chief who is loathed by her employees due to her mean, arrogant and pushy attitude, and Wendy Son as her hard working secretary whose ultimate dream is to become an editor in one of the most respectable publishing houses in New York. As Irene faces deportation to South Korea because of a denied visa renewal, the desperate editor-in-chief resorts to blackmailing her secretary into a fake marriage to secure her position. Wendy agrees to the fake engagement, but with a few conditions of her own.

Foreword
Based on the movie “The Proposal (2009)”.
It's my all-time favorite romantic comedy movie! I felt that Irene and Wendy were perfect for the lead roles in this story, so I decided to create a WenRene version of it. I made some adjustments to the settings and introduced new scenarios to the original plot. I infused my own ideas and words into it, while keeping the main plot and many lines from the movie intact. I want to give credit to the creators and those responsible for this blockbuster masterpiece for those borrowed lines.
I left some lines unchanged because they are iconic and essential to the story. While this is an AU/fanfiction, please note that certain elements, such as laws, processes, and technicalities, may not reflect real-life accuracy.
