Caught Off Guard in a Bleak Situation
All Roses Have ThornsJust as Youngjae reaches the bathroom to start dying his own hair the windows shatter and the door is broken into.
. How did they find us? It becomes a fight for survival. About twenty men enter the room. Himchan, I need to protect Himchan. I rush to the bed to protect the vulnerable Himchan. It seems that the others had the same idea. We are all surrounding the bed now. None of us have our guns on us – we made the stupid assumption we were safe. So it now becomes hand to hand combat. Everyone (including our assailants) are using knives.
I hear more than see that Daehyun has been stabbed. He gives out a cry of pain before Zelo takes out the man who stabbed him. Somehow we are managing against the odds and we finally have only two left, when suddenly one of them lets out a whistle.
Twenty more members of this new enemy gang enter the room through the broken windows and the doors. We have to retreat; I don’t want to know how many more they have outside, but we won’t survive if we stay here. I can’t even tell how badly Daehyun is injured, but I know that Himchan will need to be carried. I send the signal that it’s time to retreat. I then grab Himchan, hoist him onto my back, and run straight for the assailants.
Having just busted a hole through the enemy, the rest of the B.A.P make a mad dash following behind me, Jongup protecting the rear, as we retreat. When I get outside what I see frightens me, there are about twenty more attackers just waiting for us. It becomes a free for all.
A few punches are landed on me, while I also manage to get a few good hits in too. There is a cut on my arm, and one on my cheek. All of us are getting beaten up pretty badly, but somehow everyone else is still on their feet.
I am not really sure how we did it, but somehow we manage to break free of the attackers. We also seem to have taken out enough of them that as we run, no one decides to chase after us. My feet and brain are at odds. I know where I am running to – but I also know how dangerous it is for us to be going there. My brain is screaming at me to turn around.
One look back at the rest of the B.A.P tells me we can’t turn around, or go somewhere else. This is my only option. Daehyun is becoming exhausted. He’s lost too much blood. Jongup also has a pretty nasty cut running across his abdomen. Himchan has, thankfully, become conscious. Unfortunately it was due to a blade running across his ribs. We need help, and we need it now.
As I turn in to the Roses inner territory my heart starts to pound harder than it was before. I hope I am not leading us to our deaths. Soon we are surrounded by Roses. All I can do is surrender to them immediately. They handle us roughly. There are guns pointed at each of us, and the one nadlign me has his gun right up at my temple. It makes me wonder how ________ was treated when we first took her prisoner. Was she this frightened too? Did Jongup treat her this roughly? He must have because she would have escaped him easily if he hadn't. She is too good at fighting.
“Take us to Hongki.” I say to the lower ranking Roses who are guarding the inner territory. They comply, as it is custom to take those who surrender to the boss. It is the boss who decides what to do with people like me.
We enter the common room to the main building of the Bunnies. It is eerily stark white and clean. There isn’t much to this common room; it clearly isn’t used for anything other than big meetings, and moments like this when a prisoner is brought to the boss. This place feels like it could be abandoned except for the eyes glaring down upon us. I have never felt more trapped in my life - and that includes the time that _______-ah could have killed me.
“Hurry up and bring Hongki here. There isn’t much time.” I inform those who have taken us prisoner, while trying to sound like the proud leader of the Bunnies. I refuse to be weak at a moment like this, when the Bunnies need as much moral as they can muster. I am amazed when Hongki quickly shows up at the second floor railing. It takes all my humility to say what I must: “We need your help.”
The sheer terror that sets itself upon Hongki’s face makes me realize just how desperate we are to have come to him. It makes me realize just what kind of an enemy we are up against – and I also realize I probably just brought the enemy here to her.
