For days Geonwoo still remembers what happened at the party...

"Hyu~ung!"

Geonwoo gasped in surprise at the screams and a (quite painful) pat on his arm.

“Hyung, why are you often to daydreaming lately? Do you have a problem? Or are you sick?” Jeongho asked then stretched out his hand to touch Geonwoo's forehead to check his temperature, which Geonwoo had immediately brushed off.

"Did you see the lady at the party?" asked Geonwoo.

"Which party?"

“Annual charity party.”

"Oh… of course I saw it."

"Do you know who she is?"

“Which lady? There were a lot of ladies at the party." He said that Jeongho arbitrarily.

Geonwoo snorted in annoyance, “get yourself out of here! You !”

Jeongho chuckled, "eyyy... no need to be angry, Hyung... you're as if a PMS girl, Hyung. Being so sensitive, or maybe are you also craving something to eat, Hyung?" he tease again.

Geonwoo reached something under the table to throw at Jeongho who swiftly dodged while laughing. A shoe. Geonwoo who saw that his first throw missed, immediately took off his other shoe. This time before being thrown again, Jeongho immediately persuaded him…

“Eh… Hyung, you don't have to bother throwing me anymore. Hyung will be tired." Jeongho rushed to take Geonwoo's shoes which he had managed to avoid earlier, "here's your shoes, Hyung." He said as he immediately put the shoes next to Geonwoo's feet, who then put them back on.

"Just leave! You make me sick." Geonwoo grumbled, shoo Jeongho away.

Jeongho chuckled, "Okay, okay... fine. I'm serious now, Hyung." He said while trying to stop laughing, "tell me. What kind of lady has made my handsome Hyung become a daydreamer...?"

"The woman who almost fell, whose glass fell and broke, did you see it?" Geonwoo asked again.

"Oh... the one who you were 'holding on', right?" Jeongho deliberately suppressed the intonation of the word 'holding on'.

Geonwoo immediately glared at him in annoyance.

Jeongho couldn't help but chuckle again, “That lady is beautiful, right? She's a Super Model. No wonder she's slender and y. Tsk.. Tsk… Tsk… Really like an Angel from Heaven, right?”

"Super model?" Geonwoo asked again, making sure.

"Yes hyung. Super model. Even though currently she is not so actively as a model. It seems because she've been too busy taking care of her business now. She is Kim Sojeong, the CEO of the fashion brand Wish, which has gone international. They make clothes, bags, shoes and accessories. Their products are famous widely used by celebrities, even foreign celebrities.” Jeongho explaining.

"Kim Sojeong." repeated Geonwoo, muttering the name.

Could it be 'her'...?

Geonwoo thought.

*Geonwoo's flashback to 20 years ago…

That night it rained very hard, as if poured from huge bucket from the sky. Little Geonwoo who at that time was about eight years old was shivering from the cold under the bridge. It's been almost a year since he's been alone, with no family or home to protect him. His father, who lost his regular job a year ago, then in debt to an evil loan shark. The debt money was originally planned for his start up. But it turns out that being an entrepreneur is not as easy as imagined, moreover his father has no experience in entrepreneurship, he is just a straight and quiet office worker, whose job is to take care of warehouse administration, so he barely meets business partners, not even good at lobbying, that's why he easily became one of the targets of layoffs from his office, because his work was considered insignificant and had no connections with the high superiors. with no saving, end up desperately open a small kiosk selling food, just by relying on his wife's cooking skills which also not too special, they sell food with a home-cooked menu, targeting the middle to lower class. But it wasn't easy. With not too much debt capital, they were only able to rent a small kiosk in a non-strategic place, the result was that there were only not so many buyers, often had pretty much of left over and even lose money, therefore they were unable to repay the debt, finally their small house has to be sold. but still not enough to pay off the debt. Then their family lived in their small rented kiosk. One day his mother died in an accident, his father who was very down secretly ran away because he couldn't stand the Debt Collector who bothered them almost every day, left the young Geonwoo alone, who couldn't help but become the only target of threats and annoyance from the thugs-look-like Debt Collectors. Almost every day Geonwoo was beaten by them. Not only that, Geonwoo was also kicked out of his family's kiosk by the owner of the place, because he couldn't afford the rent. After days of being homeless, one day Geonwoo met the Debt Collectors who said that they had found Geonwoo's father and they had 'finished him'. Geonwoo was devastated to hear the news. All these moments couldn't be forgotten, even often become nightmares that disturb his sleep.

After that Geonwoo had to put all his strength and efforts to survive. He had no one, not even the family of his parents, willing to accommodate him. He also couldn't go to his usual school anymore, because he couldn't afford to pay tuition, even if there was a government program that waives his tuition fees, but Geonwoo couldn't stay at his school because he was a victim of bullying from his friends and classmates. Geonwoo chose to leave, ran away from all the things that suffers him.

After that Geonwoo lived as a tramp who wandered off, once he was caught by a gang of thugs who wanted to abuse him as a pickpocket, but fortunately Geonwoo managed to escaped, but the gang didn't let him go that easily, they were looking for him because they want to get him back as one of their 'assets'. Every time they accidentally met, Geonwoo would have to desperately ran away. If Geonwoo happened to caught, they would have been beaten badly, so badly that there were still scars, namely Geonwoo's right temple which had been torn so that even as an adult his eyebrows were split at the ends because his eyebrow hair could no longer grow in the area where the wound had been torn. Therefore Geonwoo must always be vigilant so as not to be caught by them again. For the sake to survived Geonwoo finally moved to another area. But it turns out that this world is full of bad things, and life is really not easy. Everywhere there are bad people he meets, over time Geonwoo becomes skeptical and cynical about the world, always suspicious and wary of others.

One night, under the bridge…

Geonwoo, who was sitting huddled on the river ditch, shivered, not only from the cold from the heavy rain at that time, but also from hunger, his body sore all over, aching, because he was battered by the fight with the thugs who had robbed his money that he had collected bit by a bit from being a porter, a helper who carry people's groceries in the market.

When Geonwoo was almost fainted, there was another kid who broke through the rain to also take shelter under the bridge. The new kid was looked surprised, not expecting to find 'other self' there. Even though the new kid's face wasn't very clear, because it was dark and he wore a hoodie that covering almost entire of his head, the jumper he was wearing was obviously too big for his small body. Geonwoo was saw the doubt in that kid's eyes and gestures.

"It's okay, you also can take shelter here. I won't kick you out, this place isn't mine anyway." Geonwoo said, calmly tried to not to scares that kid.

The kid finally nodded, “thank you.”

Geonwoo heard that kid's timid voice, then predicted that the kid must be younger than him, moreover his stature is also smaller than himself.

They both kept silent. Meanwhile the rain was still very heavy. The river surface in front of them was getting higher and higher, and it made them think that if the rain didn't stop or subside in near moment, maybe they couldn't continue to take shelter there, the river might overflow, drag and wash them away later.

Unexpected...

The boy handed Geonwoo something.

A pack of bread.

Geonwoo looked at the bread in disbelief. His vision had started to blur because he was too weak and hungry, he thought the bread he saw was hallucination, that's why he didn't react immediately to accept it.

But the kid seems to know what Geonwoo thought inside, maybe that's why he trying to bring the bread closer to Geonwoo, “go on.. eat it. You must be hungry right?”

Geonwoo was still silent.

“I didn't took this bread from the trash. I didn't steal it either. There was a mini market worker who gave it to me.” Then the child was paused for a while, “honestly... this bread is expired today. Do you worry you'll get sick if you eat it?”

Geonwoo suddenly grabbed the bread quickly, tore the packaging impatiently, then immediately ate it very voraciously. The boy was startled at first, but then he smiled, then took out another bun from inside of his shirt and ate it too.

Cough… cough…!

Geonwoo coughed from choking. He chewed the bread too less, swallowing it too hastily because he was too hungry, so that it caught in his dry throat which had not passed by food or drink for a quite time. It hurt so bad that his head was throbbing terribly.

The kid again took something out from inside his oversized jamper. This time a bottle of coffee and a bottle of water. Geonwoo snatch the bottle of water and gulped it with rush. Succeed. Finally, the loaf of bread go down to his stomach along with the water.

Whoa!

Geonwoo felt very relieved. His throat was free, his stomach was filled, and the throbbing of his head had disappeared.

The kid offers again the bottle of coffee earlier and another pack of bread to Geonwoo.

"How many did you get actually?" asked Geonwoo.

“Hmm… 4 breads, 1 coffee and 2 glasses of mineral water, also 1 lollipop,” said the boy, “you drink the coffee. I chose the lollipop.” He said again shyly.

Geonwoo laughed at that, "you little kid," he mocked, then he accepted the coffee and bread, "thank you." he said.

The kid smiled and nod, then they enjoy the food and drink that.

"How old are you?" Geonwoo idly asked, while taking a sip of his coffee.

"8 years old." said the kid.

"Me too."

"Oh really? I thought you were 10 years old… you are obviously bigger and taller than me.”

“Well... I thought you were 6 or 7 years old. You're small." Geonwoo teasing. But he was just joking, didn't mean to offend the kid.

The child just grinning shyly, "yeah, I'm indeed small..."

Geonwoo laughed, "eat a lot! so you can grow at least be as big as me, we're the same age afterall."

The boy grimaced sheepishly, “but how I able to do that? The reality is I'm barely able to get something to eat every day. Like what happen right now... once I eat something today, it's expired bread like this."

Geonwoo burst to laugh out loud, “Oh yeah… you're right.”

The kid laughed too.

They continue to chat, it turns out that even though they are both 8 years old, they are 8 months apart. And it made Geonwoo feel he deserved to be called as 'Hyung', but the kid refused to call him that. They argued jokingly. Suddenly they were startled because someone rebuked them.

"Hey! What are you doing here?!" several adults had just descended into the ditch, shining flashlights at the 2 frightened little children.

"Run!" Geonwoo immediately stood up and ran away.

The kid ran after him.

"Hey! Where are you going? Stop!" the adults behind them rebuked and even start to chased after them.

But the two frightened children continued to
