Synopsis

Heechul and Hankyung are best friends but one day, after an argument, they switched bodies. They have to live like this and not tell their friends.

Heechul was waking up from a bad dream. He and Hankyung just argued about their friendship and left each other. As he was clearing his vision, he noticed something was off. He wasn't in his room!

"W... What is this?!" Then his (or whoever it is') phone rang. The caller had his number.

"Hello?"

"Heechul? It's you right?"

"Hankyung?"

"Yeah. What's going on?"

"I don't know."

"Well, I'm coming. Stay put."

"Okay."

Hankyung came in the his apartment and examined himself and Heechul's current state.

"How did this happen?"

"That's what I would like to know."

"Well, we have to go to school."

"But we go to different majors."

"Still, this isn't weird that we have to skip school."

"You're right. Let me get changed and let's go."

They went to SM University and take different majors. Heechul is majoring in art and Hankyung is majoring in dancing. They have problems with that. Hankyung can't draw as well as Heechul and Heechul can't dance as well as Hankyung.

"Heechul. You okay?"

"Oh... yeah. Just a little sick."

"Maybe you should go to the infirmary."

"I'm not that sick."

"But still. You can't be so sure."

"Okay."

Meanwhile, on Heechul's side.

"Hankyung hyung. Why are you making mistakes? We were perfect just yesterday."

"Sorry. Just... a little... sick?" (Why did that come out as a question?)

"Well, you should take a rest then."

"I think I will."

They spent the rest of the day trying to be each other but it was so hard. They went to the infirmary and talked about what to do.

"What should we do?"

"I don't know. Maybe we should think about what caused this."

"All we did was argue last night."

"Maybe that's it."

"What?"

"The argument."

"You mean..."

"We resolve this by fixing our relationship."

"You sure about this?"

"I'm sure."

They spent the next few weeks trying to amend their friendship. But it didn't seem to work. Then, one day, they went to a little antique shop and sees a pair of pendants.

"So, it looks like the pendants found their new hosts."

"What do you mean?"

"The pendants used to belong to a couple who died in the wrong bodies. Since then, they tried to find hosts to help them switch back."

"So they switched us to switch back?"

"There's more to it but yes."

"Is there a cure for this?"

"Yes but it will take a big sacrifice."

"What sacrifice?"

"One of you will have to die."

"Die?!"

After they got back to Heechul's apartment, they thought about what the merchant said.

"I don't want any of us to die."

"Me neither. But there's no other way."

"Where are you going?"

"The rooftop of the school."

"Wait! You're not thinking..."

"I am."

"Wait! Hankyung! You're not going to."

"I have to. It's the only way."

"Then I'm going with you."

"But that means..."

"Even if we become the pendants' new hosts, I don't care. As long as we're together."

"Okay. If you're sure."

They fall off the rooftop.

"Last night, two university students were found bleeding on the school grounds. Some say that they fell from the rooftop but there has been no other withnesses with them during the time of the fall."

"Heechul. Why?"

"Hankyung hyung. Why did you do this?"

"We did it because..."

"We were not ourselves."

Their spirits were watching their friends as they were in the hospital, looking at the doctors trying to save their lives.

"You know, Hankyung."

"What?"

"I always liked you. More than as a friend. I didn't have the courage to tell you."

"I didn't either. I like you too."

"Will it better if we die?"

"I think so. You wanna go to the afterlife?"

"Yeah. It's for the best."

The doctors came out of the emergency room.

"I'm sorry. We couldn't save them."

"That's alright, doctor. You tried your best."

"I still wonder why they did it."

"We'll never know."

"Maybe. But I still wonder why."

I know the story might seem a little weird but it's the best that I can do. If you want an extended version, let me know.
