Epilogue
Joonie and Chuwan (a mini-series)People would often tell you that some friendship won’t last as long and things are bound to end at some point. People come and go, they said. And you will meet new people along the way. It’s amazing how you learn new things every single day with every step you take, meeting new faces and create memories with different people each day. Past? Long forgotten. Because they say it holds you back
But funny how both Seungwan and Joohyun proved that it doesn’t really have to be like that all the time. That you can still be with the same person years later and yet still grow to be a better person each day. To Joohyun and Seungwan, some things just don’t end. Because if you work hard enough to ignite the spark, you’ll get a flame that’s going to keep burning long enough to keep you going for the day.
And their relationship is like that
They built their friendship, built their foundation, and worked hard to keep it moving till where they are today; sitting side by side at a grand table right at the very front, with the presence of their friends and family.
Just two people, growing together—literally and figuratively.
Seungwan gazed at Joohyun lovingly, watching how her brows furrowed over something Seulgi said before she looked at their intertwined hands. Smiling at how beautiful the gold ring looks on her wife’s finger.
Gosh, she still can’t believe that they’re now officially married.
Joohyun is now her wife
Joonie is hers.
“Baby? You okay?”
Seungwan looked up and saw the worried look on her wife’s face. Gosh, maybe she’s been in her head for quite some time, since she still couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that she actually married Joohyun. Plus, their reception isn’t even over yet.
Seungwan shook her head, smiling
“I’m fine” Seungwan reassured
“You sure? You seem a little lost”
“Yeah. I was just staring at your ring”
Joohyun grins
“They look nice huh?” Joohyun said
“Hell yeah they do”
“My wife got it for me” Joohyun stuck her tongue out
“Wow, she must be pretty lucky to get a woman like you” Seungwan gasped
“Yeah, but she’s a little short though”
“Wha—why do you have to ruin it like thissssss”
Seungwan complained, frowning at Joohyun with the latter laughing beside her. Joohyun then giggled before planting a soft kiss on Seungwan’s cheek and that immediately got smile out of Seungwan.
Whipped
They were so caught up in their own world that they didn’t realize Seulgi had stood up, they broke eye contact when they heard Seulgi tapping her glass with a teaspoon indicating that she was about to start her speech as the maid of honor.
“Hi everyone, good day to you all, my name is Seulgi. I am both Seungwan and Joohyun’s best friend and also the maid of honor”
Everyone started clapping for her with Seulgi’s girlfriend, Sooyoung, cheering the loudest
“I’ve known Seungwan and Joohyun for the longest time and I can’t find the words to express how happy am I for the both of them that they are now here, married, and about to start a new journey in life as a married couple without me tagging along. Which is kinda sad”
The crowd erupted into laughter
“We grew up together and I’ve seen and experienced first hand with how caring, loving, and protective they are for one another. Joohyun have always had Seungwan’s back and Seungwan would always be ready to go extra mile for Joohyun. And me? I am often treated like I’m a puppy whenever I am with them”
And Seulgi winced when she felt a kick on her calf. Done none other than Joohyun
“I’m kidding. Not really”
Joohyun rolled her eyes with Seungwan giggling beside her
“But yes, I’ve never seen two people more perfect for each other like these two goofballs over here. And I trust both of them would keep each other happy because that’s what they’ve been ever since they met”
Seulgi smiled, almost tearing up before she ended her speech
“And with that, I would like to say cheers to me for always being a er since we were brownies. Both of them were always jealous whenever one of them hung out or played with me but that means I’m the best. Cheers to ddeulgi!!!!!”
The crowd burst out laughing
“Seulgi” Joohyun glared at the bear
“Okay, okay. Cheers to Chuwan and Joonie!!!!”
“Oh my god”
Joohyun rubs her temple with Seungwan rubbing her back, trying to calm her down before she pounced on a certain bear who had run off to sit beside Sooyoung, avoiding Joohyun;’s wrath while letting out a toothy smile
“I swear I’m going to kill that bear” Joohyun gritted her teeth
“Now, now babe. We wouldn’t want to see bloodbath at our own wedding, no?” Seungwan chuckled, giving Joohyun a peck on the side of her head
Joohyun rolled her eyes
“She’s lucky it’s our wedding day”
