Karina's POV

The incident in the cafeteria was the highlight of the day. I bet Sungho doesn't have the guts to roam around school for the next few days knowing that a girl was able to put him off like that. It was kind of hot to see Winter in her protective state though sadly, toward another girl. That's what I find amusing with her personality. She's thoughtful, kind, sweet and caring. As far as I know she's not even a friend of that Minnie girl but she acted as if they are. She even know her name. I don't want to sound mean but I didn't even know that Minnie existed until now. This just prove that Winter treated everyone importantly. I don't know anyone as kind-hearted as her.

"Rina! Hey babe, are you listening?" Jeno interrupted my thoughts.

"Huh? Sorry, I was just thinking.."

I haven't notice that I was not listening to what my boyfriend is saying anymore. Well, I can't blame myself, whenever we're together my attention span turns like with a 5 year old child.

"I said, you'll come tomorrow night right? At Lucas' birthday party?" he continued.

"Do I have a choice? Your team and my team will be there. So yeah." I sighed.

"Great! We'll just meet there right?"

"Yeah." I answered. 

It's a silent agreement that we're just together because we're expected to be. That's why last year we made it official. He has me as his Girlfriend but not my heart.

Winter's POV

I was about to get in my car when I heard Ningning calling me, "Yo! Gender-Bender!"

"Can you stop calling me that! Everyone knows I'm gay Ning, no need to be obvious about it. Do you want me to spell I'm gay on my forehead? Because it seems that you're pretty much flaunting to the world that I am by calling me that."

"What? Don't you find it cute?"

"No. If you want a ride back home then you should listen to me. Stop. Calling. Me. That." I answered annoyingly.

"Well I really find it cute. You're like a superhero ya' know. You know Ang? The air bender? Hell he's powerful and cute at the same time. I can call you Win the gender-bender." She added sounding amused with her idea of me having a nickname of a superhero.

"Gawd! If you're just not my friend. I might have killed you now and put you in my trunk." I sighed defeatedly.

"Best friend but yeah, I know you love me Win." she added.

"Lucky !" I countered.

"Wait! I'm just here to tell you that I won't need a ride. You know Giselle? Giselle Uchinaga? I asked her out. She said Yes!! Gosh. You're not the only one who's eyeing a cheerleader you know."

"What? So your into girls again? I thought you're over with lesbian dramas?" I asked, remembering her first heartbreak with a girl that she met in a club that never called back after their night of happiness.

"Ya' know I'm just over reacting that time right? Yes! She made me forget my name because of that head-turner and-"

"Okay! Stop. Alright! Welcome again to the club, happy? Do I need to throw a welcoming party for you? You know I don't like hearing your s-experience" I interrupted her before she continue hovering me with her impossible thoughts.

"Uhhhh.. but Giselle is-" I started when I get interrupted by her. We just love interrupting each other most of the time. This has become a hobby.

"Yeah!!! I know, she's Karina's bff! Gosh! I haven't thought about that until I saw you walking out in here. That's why I'm excited to tell you about us going out. We can do double dates and-"

"No." I stopped her before she plans everything in her head.

"What!! Why!!??" she whined.

"Karina's straight and has a boyfriend. End of conversation. Bye."

"Hey! Wait! We're not yet fini-" she shouted while I get inside my car and started the engine. I chuckled seeing her annoyed look on the side mirror.

Karina's POV

Beep! Beep!

I am walking to the bus stop when I saw a car stop beside me.

"Hey! Captain! Do you have an umbrella?"

I turn to see and there she is. Winter-Winter Kim! Oh God. Winter Kim!

"Uuhhh me? Umbrella? I.." I swear I sounded stupid.

"Uhhh yeah. I mean It's gonna rain, well that's what my mobile application says." Winter said while glancing on her phone and then back to me.

"Oh. No I don't have. I should walk faster now-"

"Silly! Get in! I can give you a ride. Do you think I let you walk out there. No way. Get in." She demanded.

God. That caring look again. Oh her captivating brown eyes. I know she's like this to everybody, but getting this kind of attention from her gives me butterflies. Since we were juniors I always look at her from far away. The possibility of me getting in her car which gives me an arm span of distance to reach her is just an amazing feeling. God. This haywire of emotion is killing me. We never had the chance to talk because of our two different worlds.

Unaware that I've been silent for awhile, Winter pull me out of my thoughts.

"So? Do you need me to go on your side and open the door for you to get in? I'll do it if that's the only way I can get you a ride home." she looks really bothered that it can rain anytime soon.
