Chapter 24- Slowly
Rescue Me
Amber had this petty smile on her face the entire time she was editing the four proposals Key wanted her to work on.
The way Key offered her food so shyly just made the boy look so cute. What seemed like forever for her to edit the four, took
less than thirty minutes. Amber went to Key's office.
"Mr. Kim?"
"Yeah.."
"Here are the proposals.."
Amber laid the papers on Key's desk and he checked each one.
"Wow, I like it. I like each one actually.. But I think we should go with the third one. It seems suitable for the image of
the shop I have in mind."
Amber's face lit up. A day's worth of hard work finally paid up.
"Are we done?"
"Yes. Seems like it.."
"Okay, thank you Mr. Kim. I'll be going."
Amber skipped her way down to her office. She was happy that Key was finally able to like a proposal, not only that. He liked
all four.
She fixed her things and placed all the necessary papers in her bag. She'll be reviewing the seven proposals rejected by Key
earlier that day. Someone then knocked. Again, it was Key.
"Mr. Kim? Ah, yes. Come in."
"How do you like the office?"
"I like it. I like it a lot.. It really fits my taste."
"I'm glad you like it."
The air in the room was tense. Amber's heart was pounding. She cleared her thoat to ease it.
"Mr. Kim, I should get going."
"A-a.. Ms. Liu, it's late. You can take the car with me.. I'll bring you home."
"Thanks. I'd like that."

They headed down to the parking lot.
"You bring your own car?"
"Yes. I feel safer when I personally drive.. Come in."
It was a 2009 Lamborghini X2 model. It was a pretty badass car.
It was an awkward, AWKWARD way home. Amber didn't know what to say and the usual talkative Key had his mouth shut.
They arrived in Amber's place in complete silence.
"Thank you for the ride."
"Sure thing. I'll be held liable if anything happened to you since I obliged you to do overtime. I'll be going."
Amber went off the car and the car went rapidly away.

"Unnie, why are you home only now???"
"I had to work overtime.."
"It's late. It's good nothing bad happened to you."
"Ahh, Key brought me home."
"Mwo?! Key oppa? He has a car?"
"Yeah.. A Lamborghini in fact.."
"Omo..So it's really true. He is rich, filthy rich."
"Yeah..He is."
"Uhm, unnie, I would be coming home late tomorrow.."
"Wae?? You going on a date?"
Luna just nodded her head..
"omo! With who? Come on.. Tell unnie the details."
"Ehhhmm. Well, he is uhh.."
"He is what?"
"He is four years older.."
"Four years? Repeater or something?"
"Aniyo."
"A classmate?"
"No, think a little more older.."
"Wait, He's your professor?!"
"Yeah.."
"What's his name?! omo omo.."
"Onew oppa..That's his nickname but his real name is Lee Jinki.."
"Really? Woah.. Good for you. Just don't go home too late yeah? Good luck.."
"Thanks unnie."

The following day is just another working day for Amber. She was really happy for Luna.. After being out of the dating scene
for so long, she finally got to meet a new guy.
"Ms. Liu? Ms Liu.."
"Ahh, Mr. Kim. Hey.."
"We'll have a meeting today with several members of the design team that will be setting up the store.. I'll have you present your
proposal to them."
"Yes, Mr. Kim.."
A knock was then heard on the door. A woman entered.
"Nana?"
"Key? Is it really you?"
She ran towards Key and hugged the boy like crazy.
"Where have you been?! You don't know how long I've been wanting to see you.."
Amber got quite irritated. "Ahem.."
"Ohh, sorry. You were in a meeting. Hi, I'm Nana. Nice to meet you.."
"Nice to meet you too.. I'm Amber."
"Hi Amber. Key, I'll be outside. Let's eat out for lunch okay?"
Amber didn't like the girl's presence. Something put her off when the girl was there..
"I'll be looking forward to the meeting later. You can go.."

"Where in the world is he? Jonghyun oppa.. Has he answered your calls?"
"No. He's not like this to be late for a meeting.."
Before Amber entered, a man came rushing in. It was Key..
"Sorry, I'm late.. Please let's start."
Amber then presented the proposal and the design team seemed to like her vision they only had a few questions about it..
Other than that, the project is ready to take off in a few weeks. The meeting ended and Key thanked Amber for a job well done.
"Thank you Ms. Liu, the team seem to have liked it.."
"Thank you.."
"Uhm. Ms. Liu, you'll meet a stylist later. She'll accompany you to shop."
"Su.. Shop? for what?"
"Clothes. We'll be attending a business dinner tomorrow evening for our project.."
"Is it really necessary for you to bring me? Why not bring Ms. Nana.."
"Nana doesn't know a thing about a business. You'll be there as.. my business associate. I won't take no for an answer.."
"Okay Mr. Kim.. Understood."

Was this chapter boring? T^T Sorry about that.. I just don't want the plot going too fast in this part since they are still new to the boss-employee stage after their break up.. Next one will be good though. :> Click next!
