Heartbroken Popstar And His Indian Girl

AMAYA

"See ya." I waved goodbye to Isabella and
Liam and walked out of the university gate.

It was such a tiring day but thankfully I've submitted all my assignments on time. These days I spend most of my time in library and duh, I guess professor was impressed with me. I mean except me none of my batch mates submitted the whole assignments. So my hard work paid off.

Clutching onto my university ID which was hanging down my neck, I waited patiently for the traffic light to turn red so that I can cross the road.

After few minutes, the lights turned red and quickly I crossed the road. I walked for sixteen minutes before reaching my favourite spot. Yep, I counted.

I glanced at my wrist watch and it says half past five. The sun has already settled down due to bad weather and dark clouds has already done their job. Cool wind kissed my skin as I shiver in summer's evening.

Enchanted, I moved forward when all of sudden, I bumped into someone's shoulder.

.

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

"You?" I heard a familiar voice which made me snap my eyes in his direction.

"Do I know you?" I asked, unsurely.

There's this man in pink t-shirt and blue denim. Oh, he's wearing a face mask and black cap too.

"Uh-Never mind." He whispered.

"Okay." I shrugged my shoulders and decided to walk past him.

I must've taken few steps before I realized something. Was he the same guy from last night? I quickly turned around and almost screamed loud enough for him to hear me. "Wait."

I rushed to him and with a huge smile gracing my lips, I asked. "Are you the star hater guy whom I met last night?"

"Star hater?" I heard a sound of laughter erupting next to me.

I quickly looked around and found two more person wearing the face mask. I forrowed my eyebrows in confusion but didn't say anything. Well...This is strange!

"Yes." He answered.

"And they're my friends." He added after awhile, maybe after sensing my confusion.

"Are you stalking me?" I teased.

"I could say the same, you know." He countered.

I couldn't help but smile. "And I thought that you can only hate the stars."

He didn't say anything but something in me told that he was smiling under the face mask.

"Are we missing something here?" One of his friends said.

I pursued my lips together and looked between them. They all were communicating something with their eyes. I felt like a third wheel.

I took a step back from them in hesitation but to my bad, my legs stumbled and as I was going to fall on my back, I felt an arm getting getting wrapped around my waist.

I gasped and looked up to find a pair of eyes staring down at me. It was him.

"Careful." He whispered and made me stand on my feet.

My cheeks turned red in embarrassment and I just nodded, quietly.

"Amaya."

"Huh?"

"Your name's Amaya, right?" He asked.

I blinked, trying to get out of my daze. "Y-Yes. But how do you know that?" I asked.

He gestured towards the ID card hanging down my neck.

Oh.

"You guys go and have fun, I'll join you later." He said to his friends.

Both of them looked at him surprise but nobody said anything. They nodded and walked away, leaving two of us alone.

"I need to ask you something." He said, shoving his hands in the pocket of his denim.

"Sure." I smiled. Well, faked a smile.

He looked around and saw a vacant place in the park. Well, practically nobody was there in the park. Most probably because it's about to rain.

"Shall we?" He asked.

I nodded and we both went inside the park.

"So...What do you want to ask?" I questioned, nervously.

"Whole night I kept on thinking about what you said." He said.

I blinked, not understanding anything.

"What if the stars are broken? What if they've flaws? What do you think will they still be beautiful?" He asked, looking straight into my eyes.

He's talking about something else, isn't he?

Maybe he's talking about himself?

"There's something painfully beautiful about broken souls. They're just mundane." I answered the very first thing that came to my mind.

"Mundane?" He asked, releasing a soft sigh.

I nodded. "Yep."

"Are you a philosopher or something?" He chuckled dryly.

"No. I'm just a normal university student." I grinned.

Next, we stayed in silence for a moment. No words were exchanged between us but the silence wasn't itching like last night. Instead it was comfortable.

Small droplets of rain started pouring down. I can feel them on my skin.

I shifted my attention up to the sky and when I was about to tell him that we should leave or else we'll get drenched in rain, he took a step closer to me.

I snapped my eyes in his direction and to my surprise, he was mere a breath away from me.

My heart started thumping louder and knots formed in my belly. Something weird happened in my chest and I couldn't help but let myself lose in the moment.

“Can I kiss you?” He asked, his voice barely audible.

As soon as I heard his words, my mind went blank. I kept on looking into his eyes and I don't know the reason but I ended of nodding my head.

Next I know, he covered my eyes with his cold palm. I know I should've asked that why he covered my eyes but I didn't say anything. Then I sensed his arm getting tightly wrapped around my waist when he pulled me closer to him till I felt his warm breath tingling over my face.

My heart bursted with excitement when I felt his soft lips against mine. I couldn't help but encircle my arms around his neck.

The taste of mint and cigarettes diffuses inside my mouth when he deepened the kiss. It was both intoxicating and passionate.

We kissed till we ran out of breath and once we parted away, I felt him pulling his hands aways from my eyes.

I kept my eyes shut, struggling to catch breath and once I opened my eyes, I saw his face again covered in face mask.

“We'll meet soon.” He whispered and with that he left.
