The two were sitting inside the car on their way to a restaurant Shuhua recommended. Soojin was looking outside the window, while Shuhua was looking down to her lap playing with her fingers.

It was a habit of hers whenever she didn't know what to talk about. Why did she agree to go eat with Soojin... Whenever she met someone she found attractive, she gets nervous and silent. Her being silent is not natural; normally she is really loud, outgoing, and really bubbly. But today she couldn't help it. Is that what they call "gay panic"?

The car stopped after some time and both of them got out. They were standing in front of a small restaurant that looked really welcoming and cozy. „This is the place?“, Soojin asked and turned towards Shuhua.

Shuhua smiled and nod her head. „Yeah. This is my absolute favorite place to go when I am hungry.“ She said and made her way towards the entrance. „Come on!“

Soojin didn't say anything and just followed her. They took a seat at a table near the window where they could see the nightlife of the city. A lot of young people were outside, enjoying their time and having fun. Soojin couldn't help but smile when she looked outside. „So Shuhua tell me..“, Soojin said and focused on Shuhua again „..how long have you been a translater?“

„It hasn't been that long. I started studying korean when I was in school because I always wanted to go to Korea to work there. And after going to university to study languages I saw a company that searched for a translater...so I just applied.“, Shuhua said. „My Mother however always wanted me to work at our family's restaurant. But that's really not my dream.“

„..may I take your orders?“, a voice beside them said and Soojin looked at Shuhua for help. „Speaking of the devil...“, Shuhua mumbled in korean and looked at the person taking their order. „We will take my usual order. Thanks, mom.“, she said in her mother tongue. Her mother let out a small laugh and looked at Soojin.

„Who is she dear? Your date?“

Shuhua blushed a little bit and shook her head. „No mom...she hired me to be her translater today since she is not from here.“

Soojin was just watching their interaction but she couldn't help but let out out a small laugh. A blushing Shuhua and an older-looking version of her smirking were just pure comedy to her.

"Let me guess...this was your mother?", Soojin asked with a smile on her lips. 

"Yeah...how did you know?" Soojin burst out laughing. "How can I not know when you literally look like her. Good genes run a family i must say."

Shuhua blushed slightly but looked at Soojin weird afterward. "What do you mean by that? Do you find my mother attractive? So you like older woman?", Shuhua asked with a shocked face.

Soojin widened her eyes and shook her head. "Oh my god, no! Don't get me wrong. I just said that because look at you...you are really beautiful and I can see that your mother is still beautiful for her age. So you must have her genes, no?", she rambled.

Shuhua started to laugh. "Haha calm down Soojin. I was just kidding. But thank you...that was quite...cute", she said a let out a small giggle.

Soojin was embarrassed but she was glad when the food arrived at their table, rescuing her from embarrassing herself more.

After their dinner, Soojin let out a satisfied sigh. "That was really delicious. Please tell your mom if I ever come back to Taiwan i will only eat at her restaurant.", she said a patted her stomach.

"I will tell her, don't worry!", Shuhua said and smiled.
