Unbeknownst to Miranda Beckett, SM had already announced the winners of the Jarang Project on their social medias. Having posted her audition video early on and simply moving on with her life, Miranda completely forgot about the competition. It's not like she was going to win anyways, right? Instead, she was focusing on a completely other thing, as she was to start her senior year of high school in a couple of days.

As the night was winding down, Miranda laid down in her bed and felt the presence of her dog, Dotty, next to her. She then opened her phone to mindlessly scroll her social medias while cuddling with Dotty.

Miranda opened Instagram and immediately scrolled past some posts as per thumb memory, only to scroll back to a post that caught her attention. She had scrolled past a post that she thought mentioned her name, so she had to make sure that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. They were not.

It turns out, it was SM's post about the winners of the project, much to Miranda's surprise as she didn't even know that they were announcing it today. Miranda went down the list of winners only to stop at her name. She had actually won, yet she didn't know what to think of it. After gathering some thoughts, Miranda decided it was time for bed, it's probably a dream anyways. But just as she was drifting off, two words came to her mind.

SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2020 ⊹ TOKYO, JAPAN
Hirano Mirai didn't need to see the winner's post to know who won. She did; she had won. The Hirano Mirai, Japan's one and only charming socialite. Of course, Mirai knew the ramifications of her winning, and already she had noticed that people were saying she only won because of the Hirano name. But she figured it would be best to ignore the comments, at least she'll become an idol.

Instead, Mirai focused on getting ready to go out and celebrate her win with some friends at a nearby restaurant. Despite making a reservation days in advance, she was the last one to arrive intentionally to make her grand entrance with her friends cheering for her.

As the afternoon turned to night after much talking and reminiscing, Mirai and her friends were starting to say their goodbyes.

"So, you'll remember me while up on stage, right?" One of her friends asked jokingly. Mirai took a minute to answer her question. The socialite fully knew that she knew that she wouldn't have time for her old friends while living as an idol. So in response, Mirai confidently lied through her teeth.

"Why would you say that? Of course I'll remember you!"
