When they arrived at the restaurant, an older woman dressed in a traditional hanbok escorted them to one of the more intimate rooms within the establishment. There is a table in the center of the room that has seating for six people and an additional chair has been installed at the end of the table. Wendy assumed that the extra chair was for Yeri because it was her day, after all. She deserved to be the center of attention. Wendy watched as Irene took a seat next to where Yeri would sit and watched as Sooyoung took a seat next to the older girl. It is not actually all that awkward for her to be seated next to Seulgi because she can simply concentrate on Sooyoung and have her lunch in peace.

The older woman was paying close attention as Sooyoung made her selection from the list of wines on the menu and Wendy can't help but to admit that Sooyoung did a very good job in choosing this location. It was tastefully furnished, but not to an excessive degree; combined with the dim lighting, produced an atmosphere that was exceptionally serene and relaxed. 

After that, Wendy shifted her focus to Irene, who was grinning broadly and laughing to herself as she looked at her phone. Wendy had a vague concept of who exactly is on the receiving end of the message. Wendy sighed as she turned her head away, but the sight of Irene's laughing still lingered in her mind. 

The sound of the door being opened was loud enough to snap Wendy out of her daydreaming.

"What's up es? It's me, your favorite undergraduate!" Yeri yelled as she entered the room while sporting black sunglasses, a white shirt, and a blue blazer. The younger girl was cheered on by Sooyoung as she made her way to the seat at the end of the table, and of course, Yeri responded positively to the cheers. Irene had a look of displeasure on her face, which was probably due to the inappropriate word choice made by the youngest girl. A few seconds later, Seulgi entered the room while flashing her signature grin. She gave her girlfriend an embarrassed look as if to say she was sorry, before landing a kiss on Irene's cheek

"I told her not to say that." She stated as she took a seat. Irene nodded softly, a grin appeared on her face. Wendy felt sick but she blamed it on being hungry. 

"I can believe you're almost done with your thesis, I remembered you crying every night because of it." Sooyoung joked. 

"Shhh, we don't talk about that." Yeri hold up a finger to her lips as she shook her head. "That was the old me, the new me, are ready to take this thesis by the neck." She continued, which caused the others to burst out laughing, with the notable exception of Wendy, who could only muster a slender smile. The younger pair continued to talk about their weeks for the most part, with Seulgi and Irene occasionally chipping in with a tale of their own during the course of the conversation. 

"Hey, you okay? You seems awfully quiet." Seulgi nudged Wendy, surprising the latter. 

"Nothing, just... enjoying the conversation." Even though it took Wendy longer than she had anticipated, she finally responded. Wendy got the impression from Seulgi's nod that she wasn't happy with her response.

"Come to the bathroom with me." Wendy gave Seulgi a perplexed expression as she watched as the latter cocked her head in the direction of the restroom. "Just come!" Seulgi said as she hurriedly grasped Wendy's arm with her.

"Seulgi, bathroom." That was the only thing that Wendy could think to say when Sooyoung glanced at her in a confused manner.

The Bathroom

"Seulgi, what the hell?" Wendy yelped as she rubbed her arm, no longer in the latter's grip.  

"Look, Wendy." Seulgi grinned, as she took out the ring from her jeans pocket.

Wendy's mouth opens wide and her eyes enlarge. too astonished to even think of a reply. There it is, the ring that will seal Irene away forever. 

"Yo-you br-brought it with you?" Her breath grew more rapid as she stumbled with her words. Her knees felt so frail that they might give way at any moment. 

"I don't know when the right moment is going to come, so I've been carrying it with me," Seulgi responded with delight,

"Are you going to ask her tonight?" Her focus was always on the ring, her heart rate has increased.

"No, maybe, I don't know, whenever the moment is right, I guess," Seulgi replied nonchalantly, unaware of the struggles her best friend was having. 

"But today's Yeri days, I feel like this would take the attention away from her." 

"Oh yeah, you're right. Thank god for you. Honestly, I'm so excited. I don't know how I'm going to keep this from her." Seulgi murmured as she put the ring back into her pocket before raising her head to take look at Wendy.

"Seulgi, promise me you won't ask her tonight or tomorrow." Wendy pleaded hands curled up into a ball. Seulgi tilted her head, puzzled by Wendy's maneuver. Wendy was aware that the other girl would have some questions, but Wendy couldn't take the chance that Seulgi would ask Irene before she had the talk with Irene.

"Just, just not this week. Okay?" Wendy whispered softly, but loud enough for the taller girl to hear it. 

Seulgi shrugged "Okay, but I have to ask her soon because you know I can't keep a secret for that long, especially from Irene." stressing on the especially. She then grabbed the door open before walking out to where the rest of them were seating. 

Wendy nodded, even though no one else was there to see it. God really won't let her breathe. 

As Wendy made her way back to her seat, she saw that the food had already been set out on the table. Once more, Wendy had to applaud Sooyoung for having such refined tastes. Wendy's stomach started growling simply by gazing at it, the smell was also fantastic. Despite all of that, Wendy was still able to notice that there was a pair of eyes looking at her. 

"Wow, Sooyoung, these look amazing!" Seulgi's gasped, her eyes glazing at all the food in front of her. Sooyoung couldn't help but flash a grin as she took the compliments. "Well, what are you waiting for? Give us the speech" Sooyoung prompted, Yeri laughed as she raise her glass. 

"First of all, I wanna thank me, for believing in me, and for working my off. It does pay off." Yeri cracked a joke, which caused the others to laugh out loud. "Secondly, thank you to all of you for believing in me too, you guys cook and clean for me. I wouldn't forget that." Yeri said as she pretend to wipe the tear from her eyes. Seulgi helped sold the scene by giving her tissues. Laughter erupted even more, and Wendy couldn't help but join in. 

"Yah, you better," Sooyoung warned though it was light-hearted, Wendy think she really meant it. 

"Okay, that's enough, I'm too hungry to even talk right now," Yeri announced as she toasts her glass all around before they all started feasting on the grand meal that was set down in front of them.
