Afterwards, Eunji eventually got expelled as expected.

Now with the two of them seperated, everyday was difficult to get by. Their schedules are so different that they couldn't even see each other even though they live so close together.

Everything reminded Chorong of Eunji and that absolutely ripped her heart out. The seat where Eunji once sat at was now empty, she could no longer hear Eunji's voice during lessons, school has become a torture, a playground for her emotions to take over her. Chorong still regularly texts and calls Eunji but she could definitely feel the difference, not seeing her in school. 

Eunji now works part-time at a convenience store, sitting there, staring blank untill a customer occasionally walks in. She couldn't take her mind off Chorong but what could she do, she could only blame fate for pulling her away from Chorong. Eunji tries her best not to be too distracted, afterall she still bears the burden of contributing to the familily's income. 

One night after work, Eunji was walking down the same path back home, with her focus lingering around Chorong's house when she walked by. The window of her girlfriend's room was right there yet she couldn't go any nearer, "so near yet so far"  she muttered as she continued trailing towards her house. Eunji gently put down h
