'Seulgi?'

"Omo!" Yerim jolted up from her track and shake Joohyun's body vigorously

"It was him! The one who saved you!" She exclaimed happily. But Joohyun was still inside of her own processing

Sooyoung and Byul-yi studied the young man's face and their mouth went agape when they realized that Yerim was right

"Oh, right. It was you who was drowning at the lake" He chuckled softly

Joohyun furrowed her brows. She's feeling uneasy with the person standing in front of her right now

'Him?'

'Wait.. Right.. This is man's cloth at this era'

'But he looks like Seulgi'

"Lady? Are you okay?"

"Hey, eonnim"

'W-was she a man in her past life? Is it even possible?'

'Oh my god, this is making me insane'

"Yah, Eonnim!!" Sooyoung suddenly slapped her that snapped her out

"Aww! That hurts!" Joohyun shot a glare at her "Are you crazy?!" 

Sooyoung rolled her eyes, "It was him who saved you. I told you, we're gonna meet him again" she said

Joohyun looked at the so-called Seulgi in front of her, who has a friendly smile on his face

'This makes me insane, but I have to say thank you right? Yeah. Say thank you'

She forcedly smile and bowed at him, "Thank you so much for saving me, My lord" 

'This is making me cringe.. my lord? Seriously, Irene?'

Seulgi raised her brows, "My lord?" She smiled 

Joohyun lifted her chin up to meet her gaze 'He really looks like Seulgi..'

'Those eyes, nose, lips. They really look alike. Oh god.'

"What should I call you then?" She unintentionally asked straight which became too impolite for Seulgi

Seulgi smiled at her straightforwardness. But she knows that the lady doesn't know her identity

Heechul was about to attack her when Seulgi lifted her hand to stop him

"It looks like we're just the same age, my lady.. My name is Donghee, I'm 20. You?" She leaned her hand to Joohyun who hesitantly exchange hand with her

'His hand is so feminine' 

"Ire- uh, Bae Joohyun. I'm.." 

'Oh god, should i say 34-'

"She's 23!" Byul-yi in with a smile on her face

'Oh god. Thanks, byul! But..wow, I got 9 years younger..'

Seulgi glanced down at the drunk old man whose still shivering and didn't dare to look up at her

It was her mentor when she was a kid and probably know about her real identity

"You can stand up now, Mister Kim.." She said

The man slowly stood up, still hanging his head down

"Let them have the hairpin and don't ever get drunk again.. Tomorrow is a special day" Seulgi smile warmly

"Y-yes, your-.. my lord" He bowed several times before storing all of his jewelries

Sooyoung, Yerim and Byul-yi went towards to her and bow their heads politely, "Thank you for saving us from him and also a days ago with accident, My lord" Yerim said

Seulgi nodded her head, "It's not a problem. Just tell her she has a bad habit on drinking" she chuckled softly and took a brief glance at Joohyun; who's staring at her with frown, behind the ladies

Three of them let out a short laugh, "She is" Yerim whispered

"Yah! Why did you leave me! I told you I'll come with you, pabo!" A sudden voice of a lady interrupted them

The voice seems so familiar with Joohyun, she followed where the voice came from and saw a familiar figure of a lady wearing a noblewomen cloth

And seeing the lady's face surprised her more than earlier

"Wendy?" She mumbled. However, no one heard her

"Ah, Seungwan-ah. My bad, i told you i don't waste seconds" Seulgi stuck her tongue out on the Grand Princess

'Seungwan? I-is it really her?' She glanced at her from head to toe. But then she realized she's already in Joseon Dynasty and knows that her girlfriend probably don't know her

She smiled and mumbled to herself "She's still pretty" 

"And what are you doing with these pretty ladies?" Seungwan smiled and look at them. And her gazes stopped on Joohyun who stiffened at her track

"I know you" Seungwan uttered as she tilted her head

Seulgi frowned, "You know her?"

'She knows me?! She-'

"You are.. Physician Bae's daughter, right? You are also a physician!" Seungwan snapped her fingers with a bright smile on her face

'Physician Bae? She is Chief and Lady Bae's daughter?' Seulgi furrowed her brows

Joohyun awkwardly chuckle and nodded her head, "Y-yes"

The Grand Princess clapped her hands vigorously, "You're beautiful like her. No wonder"

Seulgi twitch her lips up and pull her cousin with her, "Let's go and stop flirting" She said and faced Joohyun, "It's nice to meet you, my lady.." she smiled and left, followed by Heechul

Seungwan was left rolling her eyes, "Don't mind him, my brother is just like that.." she said at them

'Brother? But.. Wendy has no brother or sister'

"He is handsome" Sooyoung and Yerim commented in unison made Byul-yi scrunched up her face in disgust

Seungwan noticed Sooyoung and her eyes gleamed, "Hey there, pretty lady" 

Sooyoung flustered when Seungwan just winked at her, "H-hi"

'Aigoo, why is this past life of my girlfriend is a flirt.. I'll kill you once I get back, Wendy.'

"I have to go now or else he will kill me" Seungwan clicks her tongue and leave them hanging

Byul-yi frowned as she looked at Sooyoung, "Yah, why are you blushing?" 

"Oh my, your cheeks are red!" Yerim snorted 

Joohyun just watch Seungwan walking away with her knitted brows

'This is really weird'

Byul-yi then wrapped her arms on Joohyun, "Let's go!"

"Orabeoni, have you given my paintings to Lady Kim?" Seulgi asked Heechul 

"I did, Your Highness"

Seulgi nodded her head and turn around to see where is Seungwan who's busy chatting with peasant kids

"Yah, what are you doing? Let's go inside" 

Seungwan glance up at her and gestured her to go inside first

Seulgi sighed, "Go keep your eyes on her.. I'll go inside"

Heechul bowed at her, "Yes, Your Highness"

Seulgi went inside the small hanok and she was greeted by the strong odour of oil paint which she have been used to

She looked around and see the equipments gathered by each table perfectly, the paintings are all around the wooden wall, some can call hers

"My people buying these paintings knowing that this is made by the most charming Crown Prince of this nation" She mumbled to herself with a smirk

"Ah. Your Highness, you're here" 

Seulgi turn around as she heard a voice of middle-aged woman whose already greeting her a bow for respect

She smiled and bow her head to the lady as well, "It's been a long time since I've been here, Lady Kim" 

Lady Kim lifted her chin up and met the gazes of the Crown Prince 

"A lot of young ladies here are already looking for you. They want your painting skills more than mine" She said softly

A soft chuckle came out from Seulgi, "You're much better, Lady Kim. It's just they really want to see this charming living person" she winked playfully

Lady Kim snorted, "You're really funny, Your Highness. No wonder why a lot of ladies are yearning with your attention"

"Not until they've got to know that I'm the next king" Seulgi mumbled and took her masterpiece frame

"Tomorrow after the Crown Prince's Natal ceremony, we'll go at the well-known artist" Yerim said as she place down the bed linens for four of them

They already went home after the incident and meeting the so-called look alike of Kang Seulgi, in Joohyun's point of view

"A lot of people saying that he is the good artist in the capital. Also young and handsome. You should come and ask him to paint your goddess face, Eonnim" Sooyoung eagerly said as she leaned closer to Joohyun who busy thinking of something

Byul-yi rolled her eyes, "They also said that he is a flirt. What if he flirts with Joohyun Eonnim? Let's just have some fun tomorrow"

Sooyoung just hissed and lay down to their bed, ignoring Byul-yi's statement

Suddenly, Joohyun mumbled, "I want to try.. I never tried– I mean, Do i have one?"

The three ladies turned their attention to her, "I don't think you've been there or tried being the portrait" Yeri said

Byul-yi nodded her head, "Maybe let's just go there.. She deserves it"

Joohyun couldn't sleep that night after meeting a young man that looks like Seulgi, that who saved her from drowning and Seungwan, her girlfriend in modern life

'Do I have to drown again to get back? Or just die like in those other dramas?'

On the next day, it's already the Crown Prince's natal year.

Everyone is busy preparing for the ceremony and parade in and out of the palace. Some are hoping to see the Crown Prince already 

While Joohyun is just watching her friends eagerly looking for some clothes to wear

"Yah, you two are insane. Stop acting like a kid and please be faster. We're getting late" Byul-yi scoffed and crossed her arms

"Shut up, i have this feeling to see the handsome face of His Royal Highness" Sooyoung retorts, shot a glare on Byul-yi

Joohyun chuckled in silence and just watch their two friends with their behavior 'Still the same kids' 

"Now, give His Royal Highness the mask" The Head Court Lady, Lady Choi commanded to the mere court lady

"Why is this so sudden?" Seulgi sighed as the mere court lady carefully putting the mask on her face

Lady Choi bowed her head, "What do you mean, Your Highness?"

Seulgi pointed to the half mask on her face that barely showed her eyes, nose and cheeks, "This! I thought I'll just stay inside the palanquin but why is it sudden to display half of my appearance on my people?" 

Eunuch Shin and Heechul looked at each other, "It's His Majesty's command, Your Highness" Eunuch Shin answered

"And somehow, People are anticipating to see you , Your Highness.." Lady Choi added 

Seulgi clicked her tongue and sigh, "Right, right..it still doesn't make sense"

"Do i look good?" Yerim asked Joohyun as they're walking towards the crowd.

Joohyun just nodded her head as response and watch people on the crowd waiting for the Royalties

The bass drum started to make sound as a sign that the Queen, King and Crown Prince will start the march

Byul-yi elbowed Joohyun, "As they're already near and in front of you, keep your head down as respect.. You'll see Lord Bae at the end" she whispered

"My father?" Joohyun asked and Byul-yi nodded her head as an answer

"The King and Queen!" Sooyoung enthusiastically clapped her hands

Everyone turned their attention to the way for the marching ceremony

"That's King Seonjo, the 14th King.. He looks good, right?" Sooyoung whispered at Joohyun as they look at the two Palanquins of King and Queen

Joohyun has no interest in seeing the King and Queen of the 16th Century. But she know that seeing them like this, with her two eyes is a big privilege and a great thing to brag out

'They really look so unreal.. Wait.. Our Current President is King Seonjo?! Cool! His next life is still ruling the country!'

"All Hail for the Crown Prince! The Future King of Joseon! Prince Gwanghae!"

"Omo! I hope they'll show us the Crown Prince already!" Joohyun heard some ladies whispering behind her

The crown let out a loud gasp as the last palanquin for the Crown Prince was uncovered one than usual

They start murmuring that confuse Joohyun and her friends

"Will the Crown Prince be revealed already?!" Yerim asked in confusion

The palanquin is getting nearer and nearer on their track and the excitement with the ladies are increasing. Even Joohyun don't know why she feel this way

"Oh my goodness! The crown prince has shown himself already!" Byul-yi said in enthusiasm

But the three of them sigh in despair as they saw that the Crown Prince is wearing a mask that only shows his lips

"Hey! His Royal Highness is looking at us!" Sooyoung widened her eyes and immediately hang her head down together with Byul-yi and Yerim

Joohyun was in bliss, her eyes just accidentally met the Crown Prince's eyes. She just suddenly felt a cold breeze brushes through her skin, she can't even move

'Those eyes. are familiar'

Little did Joohyun know, they locked eyes to each other. The Crown Prince's gazes seems too familiar for her

"Yah, keep your head down. The guard might behead you if you keep staring at His Royal Highness!" Byul-yi elbowed her and pulled her down

'Maybe I'm just being delusional'

'Everyone is really surprised to see me' Seulgi thought

She was eyeing each of people who were eyes on the floor as their respect, some can't help to steal glances at her and still murmuring but the Royal Bodyguards warning them with their shiny sword 

And a familiar figure caught Seulgi's attention into the crowd

"Bae Joohyun and her friends" She mumbled

Thinking that maybe Joohyun would just look down, she didn't take her eyes off the lady.

She smiled beneath the mask when she noticed the same hairpin at Joohyun's hair 

And unexpectedly, their gazes locked into each other. Seeing the frown forming into Joohyun's face made Seulgi felt a little anxious

'Did she recognize me?'

But it was interrupted when Byul-yi elbowed her

Seulgi sighed in relief and turn her gazes in front, "Lord Bae didn't lie, he has beautiful daughter that fits to be a kisaeng"

The march didn't last long around the capital. The Royal family were headed back immediately inside the palace to have their own celebration for the Crown Prince's natal year

"Your Highness, His Majesty might look for you tonight. Please don't leave the palace just for this day" Eunuch Shin begged as Seulgi is fixing her regular noblemen cloth

"I'll be back before sunset. Just tell them I'm in a deep slumber" She winked at him but Lady Choi dropped her knees on the floor, followed by the other servants under the Crown Prince's Palace

"Please understand that His Majesty wants you to be at the pavilion tonight, Your Highness" She plead

Everyone followed Lady Choi to plead, "Your Highness, please be understanding"

Seulgi sighed as she scrunched her nose, "Princess Seungwan is here. She can cover me up" she turn around and take a glance at her cousin sleeping peacefully at her royal bed

"Goodbye!" Seulgi ran out of her chamber followed by Heechul, leaving Lady Choi and Eunuch Shin dumbfounded

"It's really hard when His Royal Highness is very stubborn" Eunuch Shin mumbled in despair

"Physician Bae!" Byul-yi ran out from their private lodge with her friends to call Joohyun's mother who's giving some medicines with her patient's at the moment 

"What is it, Byul?" 

Mother Bae turned around and saw her daughter whose more beautiful than the last time she saw

"We'll bring her to Lady Kim. That's why she looks more pretty today!" Sooyoung said in enthusiasm as she held Joohyun's both arms

Mother Bae flashes a smile, "Go ahead.. My daughter is always pretty. I'm sure that the young handsome painter at her residence would love to paint her" she playfully winked at Joohyun 

Joohyun flushed with her mother's sudden words while her friends are just laughing

They bid a goodbye to her mother and leave the Infirmary 

"Aunt Bae has been always strict when there's some man asking for you, even they're son of high ranked persons and noblemens" Yerim started as they're walking around the village

Byul-yi then hissed, "But it seems like she wants that young painter for Joohyun Eonnim"

"He's a good-looking man. Perfect for Joohyun Eonnim's eternal beauty!" Sooyoung grinned as she wink at the older one playfully

Joohyun chuckled on her thoughts, 'She doesn't change. Strict but wants me with a guy she prefers'

They continued walking with Sooyoung telling a lot of stories about how Joohyun lived during this period. And it's interesting for her

And for every people they passed by never take their eyes off from Joohyun, old ladies are not even exceptional
