AUTHOR’s POV

The date is December 23. It’s the holiday season again. Christmas songs can heard everywhere. Children’s laughters can be heard across the street. Snow covers the road and pathways. People are fully clothed with coats and everything.

Sooyoung is busy with her cafe. She smiles as she hands out her customers’ orders. Most are hot chocolates and coffees to keep themselves warm during this cold. Sooyoung is never really the type of person who wants a lot in her life. She’s contented in living a simple life in the small town she grew up with.

“You really love Christmas, don’t you?” Yuri, her bestfriend and her business partner, asked Sooyoung.

“Of course I do. Who doesn’t love Christmas, Yul?” She replied and laughed.

“I mean, it makes everything a little more colorful, don’t you think?” Sooyoung added and looked at Yul and smiled.

“Well, I guess so. Things seem a little lighter and a little brighter.” Yuri laughed as she handed a coffee to Sooyoung.
