Hyukjae smiled giddily to himself as he stared at his screen when he read Donghae's message. 

LeeDonghae: what do you mean?

Hyukjae tried to play coy and pretended to not understand what Donghae meant as he sent him a short "huh?" response, snickering to himself, as he anticipated Donghae's next reaction. It was clear to him now that the other liked him but now, the question he needed to find out for himself was whether he reciprocated the other's feelings the same way. He was always so sure his crush with Donghae would never go anywhere. Evenmoreso of the fact that the other would never acknowledge his existence, but now here the other was, the man he's been daydreaming of ever since he first laid eyes on him, had literally been talking to him all day and confessing his affections to him so blatantly that he was kind of stuck between jumping at the chance to be with the other or to listen to the second voice in his head that was telling him it was all too good to be true. 

LeeDonghae: how is Siwon persuasive?

Should he tell him? Would it be better if he didn't share with Donghae the extent of his and Siwon's conversation last night?

LeeHyukjae: ...it's difficult to explain.

LeeDonghae: whatever he said it's not true

Reading Donghae's immediate response to his nonexistent answer made Hyukjae laugh out loud. He threw his head back as he could just picture the panicked and annoyed look Donghae sported in his head. 

LeeHyukjae: XD

Hyukjae joked and then added another line just to see Donghae's reaction.

LeeHyukjae: I thought you were gonna ask me out on a date too...

Hyukjae watched the screen carefully, waiting to see what Donghae will say and was slightly disappointed when all he received from him was a single word that said, "...what?" Pouting at the lack of excitement, Hyukjae decided to take pity on him and took a screenshot of his messages with Siwon from the night before and sent it to Donghae. It was just the beginning of their converation but it was enough to let Donghae know that his friend has been playing wingman for him. 

Hyukjae stared at his screen and chewed the inside of his cheek in anticipation when he saw the little 'seen' message underneath the image he had sent the other. Hyukjae waited for Donghae to type something but after a few minutes go by, he started to get worried. He blinked and tried not to think too much into the reason for Donghae's delayed response but his nerves was getting the best of him. Only five minutes have gone by but it felt a lot longer than that. Worried that he might have freaked the other out, Hyukjae bit down his lower lip and typed in his message for Donghae. 

LeeHyukjae: is everything okay?

LeeDonghae is typing...

LeeDonghae: yes! Everything is okay! ^^

Hyukjae frowned and sensed something different with Donghae's answer. He would have prodded further but then saw that Donghae started typing something. He waited and waited until Donghae's messaged arrived and then got curious as to what the other would say to him. What was he writing exactly that was taking him so long?

LeeDonghae: have you had lunch?

Hyukjae had to do a double take upon reading that one short sentence. It took Donghae more than ten seconds to write that one short line? 

LeeHyukjae: Not yet. I'm supposed to have lunch with my friends today

LeeDonghae: oh that sounds fun!

LeeDonghae: I hope you have a great lunch :)

Hyukjae let out a small smile at how normal Donghae's conversation suddenly sounded.

Hyukjae snickered and tried to restrain himself from laughing out loud again seeing Donghae's spammed messages to him. How did he go from flirting to polity to this whiny brat in a matter of minutes? The mixture of Hyukjae's conflicting feeling for the other seemed to be the draw that made him want to keep talking to Donghae more. It was nearing 1:00pm, his friends were supposed to stop by his home around 1:30 to pick him up, and here he was, sitting in his living room couch, on his phone, grinning ear to ear at every word Donghae said to him. 

LeeHyukjae: Leeteuk hyung is a pretty great cook
